[####] For people who have never failed, how many 6s do you have? Also in how many total games?

I mean never failed a single game, not failed but still have 100%.

Recieved a "You completed alcohol compliance" and can shop alcoholic orders now email and I don't and have never had an instacart account.

I've never even registered. Im assuming this is someone opening in my name but I'm unsure how to do anything about it if so. Or maybe just random spam? 🤷

A stickier or even permanent alternative to contact paper?

I need something that applies like contact paper, preferably on a roll but with a stronger adhesive or even a permanent bond level strength. I'm having trouble finding something that can be used as a backing material that is actually stronger. Any kind of advice would be great.

I impulse buy more puzzles than I am realistically ever going to work on.

I think this stems from NOT buying puzzles I want when I see them and then wanting to "complete the set" later only to find that they are out of production/end of life and only available for 5x as much on ebay.

For example I just spent $150 on 3 Star Wars puzzles to complete the fine art collection and they were all puzzles I had seen on shelves for $10 in the past. So now I just can't reconcile NOT buying things NOW when I have the chance.

This year alone I have already added north of 150k pieces worth of puzzles and only done 80k ish. This is rolled over from last year and the year before and the year before.

For some reason I just can't say no to $8 or $10 or $13.99 when its RIGHT THERE nib because later on I won't be able to find it without getting grifted.

Does anyone else struggle with this? I have probably a half million backlogged puzzle pieces and im still buying faster than I complete them.

What would be the legality of bycatching feral/domestic cats in a conibear?

This is more of a curiosity thing as I'm already using havahart boxes for a groundhog problem (with much success) because there is a fairly large domestic/feral cat population and the risk of bycatch is too high to use anything lethal. When researching originally, conibear traps were highly suggested but couldn't be used for the reasons I mentioned.

This brought up the question in my head of whether there would be legitimate legal issues if you accidentally caught a cat in another situation where lethal traps were in use.

Serviced MS 201TC-M for $400 a good deal?

Runs great. New piston and cylinder, backplate, baffle and fuel and air filters. Customer dropped it off for work and never came back to get it. Has been in shop for a year so they're selling it to recoup parts and labor costs.

Have needed a smaller top handle for a while and this has been at the top, I just haven't wanted to spend a grand on one.

Trefl Prime 13500pc missing 2 pieces 12k pieces into being done. I don't even want to finish it now.

Saved bag E for last because it looked miserable to do. 2 missing pieces next to each other. The missing piece form just errors out regardless of how many times you fill it out.

Called and emailed. Was asked for proof, sent everything they asked for. Was told to send the entire puzzle back for an exchange or to kick rocks (but in nicer words).

In no way would I ever do this puzzle again so there's zero chance im repacking and starting over. That was the only solution they offered. After the tiny uselessposters(postcard size), piece cut quality (lack of) and everything else that has been a $*#^show I'm just done and they can [explitive][redacted] in the future.

Anyone want a 13.5k Ultimate Marvel Collection with 2 missing pieces* for whatever shipping would cost?

Edit: If I had to guess they have die issues based on how poorly cut it has been and the pieces got stuck on the rise and not dropped with the others.

The thing that bothered me the most about S4 Ending.

>!What if Tyrus isn't in the room like he isn't in the room for almost all of the other encounters? He's going immediately to kill Walt and Jessie and they technically don't even know if he's dead or not so they'd have no idea it was coming. The news saying "3 people" could be Hector, Gus and literally anyone else. Maybe I'm missing something.!<

Anyone ever have booklice in a brand new puzzle?

I don't thrift often but when I do I bag the puzzles and freeze them the suggested amount of time to be sure.

I don't currently have any used puzzles and noticed a few booklice on my table (it is black so very easy to spot) after dumping out a new Buffalo from Amazon.

I have a dedicated space that is humidity controlled and monitored with a standalone hygrometer that stays between 38-45% so they couldn't survive in here anyway and no other sources bringing them in.

Couple that with seeing them literally mixed in with puzzle dust makes me fairly sure they didn't come from anywhere else.

Puzzle Warehouse using FedEx Smartpost 5-7 day economy regardless of what shipping you pay for.

Just a PSA. Don't bother paying for express shipping as the last 3 orders have been shipped the cheapest way possible regardless. The difference was refunded when calling them out as requested but save yourself the hassle and don't bother.

Do I really have to track down marriage and divorce records from 27 years ago?

Or can I just answer N/A? The township we were married in was absorbed by the county vital records office who can't seem to find my stuff and I've spent 2 months trying to gather information. Ex spouse is dead, don't remember any of her info and the divorce was in the same now doesn't exist municipality.

The state handled records until 2 years before any of this or I would just try them.

This is only for a cruise and I'm annoyed enough I'm probably just going to not bother and hope I don't need one if I actually have to provide this information I seemingly have no way to get.

Despite every retailer's best effort, I was able to get one. 18k Star Wars Re-release.

Amazon botched it. Ravensburger botched it. Panic ordered the last one from Puzzles Canada and a small shop in Colorado and here we are. Colorado got it here first and Puzzles Canada hadn't shipped yet so they were amazing about letting me cancel. Great people. Highly recommended as is Mindquest Puzzles and Games.

Also shout out to Ravensburger for the free 2000 piece puzzle I got via loyalty points I never actually paid for.

Will start after the last 2 panels of the 13.5k im working on. 🥳

Did anyone actually get their Ravensburger Star Wars (18k) pre order?

Ordered day 1 on Amazon and day 1 on Ravensburger. Neither shipped, both are now out of stock and Amazon just sent the expected "we are complete morons and oversold this item even though you ordered an hour after it went live do you want to cancel or wait for nothing?" Email.

Also Ravensburger just refunded mine without even sending an updated email about delay or cancelation. Just a refund without a word spoken.

I just want to confirm SOMEONE got one to verify they even existed in the first place.

If I have a pre-order scheduled to arrive Today and it hasn't shipped yet and is now out of stock, how likely is it they just oversold and it's never arriving?

I'm half expecting a cancelation email later today but wanted to ask if things like this are typical as I could possibly find it elsewhere before its posted for resale at 5x as much.

Would "shoot the hostage" actually work in real life and if so, what percentage of the time?

As seen in the timeless cinematic masterpiece Speed, Officer Jack Traven played by Keanu Reeves says this during a hypothetical scenario and then later does so when his partner is taken hostage by the bomber.

I'm curious if anyone thinks this would actually work in real life.

Thoughts on ORV access at Cape Point and it's effects on shelling?

I've never posted here but I was genuinely curious where most people stand on this. I know for a large portion of the year access is closed because of migratory birds and turtles (the mesh from dune to water thing) with signage.

Years back 2018 and earlier, we would walk TO the water and then down the beach to the NOT closed portion of the point and I verified with Cape Hatteras Seashore officers that this was allowed and we did it for years.

Apparently at some point the rule changed as was found out trip before last when we tried the same thing and were chastised by a super nice wildlife officer on a 4 wheeler. This mind you is 3 days after speaking to who was supposedly "the dude" at the main office who gave us the ok as long as we stayed below the tide line per always.

So circling back to the point, what used to be an almost otherworldly looking haven with the best shelling possibly in the world is now only accessible if its open which means its basically a Walmart parking hosting a 4x4 car meet. Any shells that weren't driven on and crushed are already picked by people who didn't even have to walk to get there.

I get both sides but there are miles and miles and miles of beach to 'ORV' on and only a small section specifically at the south facing hook of the point that WAS really special because you had to slog to get there and if you did that it was for a reason that no longer exists.

Having a section for pedestrians only that is just far enough to dissuade people who aren't just out for a stroll wouldn't be too much to ask. It's basically the only reason we went and now its the same as going anywhere else and often even worse.

Side note: off season cold weather shelling when the convoys arent there is still OK I suppose.

Limited time food items are a stupid idea.

You either don't like them and they are ass and it doesn't matter that they exist or you do like them and then can never get them again after the first trip when they fall off the menu after 3 days(a la Taco Bell). And let's face it, you aren't going there for any other reason you didn't already have so they aren't a gateway purchase either.

In both scenarios nobody wins and nothing is accomplished. This is ignoring the ultra rare occasion where something is popular enough to become a permanent menu item which is such a negligible amount of the time.

Political Podcast I've never listened to keeps showing up in my home page and I can't get it to go away.

In the upper section where your recent history links are. It's there and will go away when I listen to several things to repopulate those links but then it just shows up the next day anyway after there having been no interaction with it at all.

Meanwhile true crime podcasts I listen to daily never show up at all unless I just listened to them and then half the time they don't even show up then.

No I don't have autoplay on and it isn't playing after I fall asleep or when im not paying attention.

No there is nobody else using the app.

Yes I cleared the cache.

No it is not in my queue.

The ONLY interaction ive had with it is to rate it 1 star and even after telling spotify to not recommend similar content it STILL shows up.

Only thing I can figure at this point is a paid/pushed promotion for it to be there.

Trefl 13500 piece Infinity Saga. Some honest feelings about the puzzle and the brand.

This is based on 2 finished 1500 piece sections and the first half of the 3rd section (out of 9) This was completed over the course of roughly 2 weeks. I have included product images and a few progress shots and piece size/detail size using a standard sharpie as a reference.

I did not take pictures of issue pieces being uncut but turn a cereal box inside out and imagine they look like that.

Also, this is from the perspective of an almost exclusive large format puzzler with a dozen or so 10k+ and several 18k piece puzzles completed. Also I am a Ravensburger fan boy so take that as you will.

I'll start with pros and cons. This pertains to the Prime line only as this is a prime puzzle. Other lines will vary.

The Good:

The piece quality is much improved from my last Trefl puzzle which was not of the prime variety. I have not experienced any delamination issues as in the past, fit has more positive feedback and there have been no false fits (some misfits but more on that later when I complain about piece size and detail). Dust was very minimal, packaging was great with no broken bags and so far no missing or double pieces. The final image looks pleasing enough and the price for a large format puzzle is very reasonable.

The Bad:

Production cut is abysmal. I have spent as much time with an exacto knife cutting pieces apart as I have sorting. This was consistent across the 3 bags thus far. Entire sections of 4 to sometimes 10 pieces were almost entirely intact on the underside. This was very tedious to remedy.

Although this is a known production quirk and simply the way they choose to produce puzzles, I find for any puzzle with more than rudimentary detail the pieces are going to be entirely too small. Magnification, perfect lighting and a dome glass to verify fit matching is required in many places.

There is detail on the poster that does not exist on the puzzle or is so infinitesimally small as to be indistinguishable from the things around it. An example would be textured armor that looks like a weave pattern on the poster but is nigh a solid blue color on the piece.

The poster and included images are so small that they also require magnification to be useful as a reference. There is one poster included with small images of the sections that is about the size that each section SHOULD be. It's that bad.

And now we get to the "unlimited fit technology". This sounds like a fun and amazing option on paper but in practice it simply fills each section with hundreds of gradient pieces that are so alike you can almost not sort them by color. The image and subsequently any detail you can use for reference ends at roughly the 3rd inward piece from the edge with some places having very small detail bleed onto the 2nd inward piece. I would much prefer this technology NOT exist and each section simply run 'image to edge' and connect traditionally.

These gripes differ in severity obviously from section to section but as a baseline are bad and only improve slightly on the most favorable parts of the puzzle.

They could go a long way by simply making standard sized pieces and thus a larger final footprint to accommodate a larger version of the image and eliminating the unlimited fit technology. Keep the thinner lower quality pieces to justify the lower price and spend an extra $1 on production to include multiple larger reference images. The quality of cut can just stay shoddy since you are paying half of a ravensburger for it.

Conclusion. Very good value per piece count. Would not recommend for novice puzzlers or anyone who doesn't have a ton of patience. I could see less detailed images in the prime line in possibly smaller piece counts having extreme value for those who are inclined. Hard hard pass for beginners or for anyone who just wants to enjoy the process without hassle and frustration.

Would buy a trefl prime again, just not one this big or with this much detail.

Any questions I didn't cover, feel free to ask.
