Is diy tint really that hard?

I’m seeing people getting charged thousands of dollars just for some window tint. Why is it that expensive? I could find some window tint myself for around 50 bucks. I have some experience in wrapping. How hard is it actually gonna do it yourself considering that they’re charging that much

Thoughts on the rims?

Stock 21in rims. I’m going to add an exhaust and I’m wonder how quad tips pair with the wheels. Should I also get aftermarket rims to make it look more aggressive, lowering springs, or just keep it stock?

Is he underweight?

This is my cat Oreo. He’s 3 and a half years old and weighs 12lbs.

Both his parents were north of 15lb. I know ragdoll‘s don’t fully mature until at least four years old but he still seems small for his age.

And yes, he eats and drinks. However, when I picked him out of the litter, he did seem a little like the runt. He was a lil smaller than his siblings.

Regardless, he’s extremely relaxed and friendly.

Headed to College

CPO 2023 X3 M40 with just 25k on the dash. Unfortunately M340s were hard to find and insurance was a killer. Otherwise would gone with the sedan. However, this is not far off and is a hella lot for an SUV

How reliable is a tuned M340i?

Currently have a 2024 M340 and im looking to tune it. However a FEMTO unlock and MHD will be just south of $2k. Would this be worth it considering I want a noticible power increase without exploding my daily driver. I also want to remove to top speed limiter. I play on just a tune and downpipe, with future plans of a full exhuast mod.

Like i said, i still want this to be a reliable dailyable car (not single turbo 93 fuel 700+ hp) and i plan on keeping it for a while as long as i dont crash it.

If i drive in eco pro most of the time and occasonally S+ for extra spice, how much would it actually affect dailyability and long term ownership?

Do you think the WRX deserves an H4 engine?

IMO the wrx is a beautiful beautiful car. Even better if they could paint match the fenders. I feel this was be an unmatched car if Subaru would put a 6 cyl
in it with at least 300hp. Also having a cvt option on a sporty car is so ironic. An auto or dct would so much better if you weren’t opting for manual.

Do you think the Subaru should offer an additional trim with a 300+hp 6cyl? Would you buy it

Is this even worth it?

Got Around 95 pounds of pure halibut fillet before processing and packing from our charter. We’re staying in Alaska for a week with an RV. Got food for the rest of the week.

However, I’m not sure my family of 4 (inc 2 children) can finish this in a week. We’ve packaged all and only flash froze 60lb. We plan to grind through the unfrozen ones and fly the frozens back with us.

Total cost was just under $400😬😬😬

Around 300 package and 100 to fly.

Was it shipping it worth it? (Not that I can change my financial sources since I’ve already done it).

Ps. The freezer is powerful enough to keep the frozen fish frozen (We’re carrying it for a week before we fly back).

We bought boxes with Styrofoam and will gel packets for the flight.

How will the new three series affect the G(20) generation?

Looking to buy a used 2024, M340 this month. Would this be a good or bad financial decision? with the new three series coming out, how will this affect the value of the previous generation? Do you think the value will increase stay the same or decrease for the G20? Can I use this as a leverage for negotiations? Or should I wait?

Do people eat Bluegill?

I freshwater fish a lot. In the lake near me, I usually catch and eat crappie and trout. I ALWAYS throw back bluegill and sometimes even find them pesky for eating my bait.

However, I saw online that people actually prefer bluegill over crappie? They’re both sunfish but imo crappie act a lot like ciclids.

Bluegill are too small (even large ones are about hand sized) and have too many bones. I don’t find it worth the hassle.

Also, I know online a lot of people catch and release bass as a hobby. But apparently people don’t really eat bass? I never throw bass out unless they’re undersized. But I find they’re quiet tender and taste nice

Tryna get tint but worried about cops

I live in CA and the legal limit is 70. However, 70 is practically clear. I want to run 50% since it makes a noticeable difference without completely blacking out the window. 50 is significantly lighter than 30 and wont attract as much attention. Although the legal limit is 70, do cops usually pull you over for 50 if you're driving normally? It feels petty for a cop to pull you over for something this insignificant and also based off instinct unless they're specifically hunting for tinted cars.

Should I play it safe and just get 70, or will 50 be barely noticeable unless they check? I know people running around with 20-30 tint without too many issues

How to temporarily remove sub?

Removing the sub and keeping amp in since it’s too much work. Just need more space.

I removed output wires (running from amp to sub)from the sub and removed the sub from the trunk. I’m going to wrap the output wires in electrical tape since those are the only exposed wires.

I also removed fuse from power wire (battery to amp) so the amp isn’t getting any power.

However, all speaker wires, rca, rem, are still attached to the powerless amp. Is everything ok or is there more I need to do? Thanks

stock HiFi system on 3 and 4 series any good?

Not sure if i should option HK or not. Ive heard BMWs HK is extremely underwhelming. And having too many speakers also messes up the wave alignment or smth? Ive also heard just upgrading the amp on the stock HiFi makes it better than the HK or at least significanlty better than stock?

Tips on purchasing a used performance car?

I im looking at are (hopefully) in full stock, so I

Im looking to purchase a used M340i, relatively new to drive as a daily (2023+ under 20k miles). So this won't be some riced-out high-mileage "fun weekend car" purchase. Im planning on keeping it as long as I can.

What should I ask the dealership for? What should I inspect and look for myself?

I live in California and will be a local purchase, so im not too worried about rust or weathering.

I want to ask the dealership for an ECU scan for any shadow codes, as well as the number of launches. The ones im looking at are (hopefully) fully stock, so im not expecting to find any flash tuning. Ill also ask for Clutch Adaptation Values to see wear and strain on the trans. Is there a way to see how hard the car was driven as well? inc redlining, drifting, fastest speed, high engine temperature, etc?

Looking at Carfax, im making sure it's one owner with consistent service history to miles. Clean title, no accidents, etc. Title registered to the owner straight out of the lot. (I see a lot of cars with no owner or title registered, with tons of miles on them.) These usually mean leases or loaners)

Ill also get a PPI (will the dealership cover this cost?)

In person, I'll do a full visual inspection (damage, imperfections, tire and wear wear, tire wear pattern, etc).

If everything checks out, I'll cold start and drive to make sure it runs smoothly.

Running Vin is mandatory.

This might seem like a lot, but i tread carefully. Does this sound about right, or am i missing some pretty important things?

thanks!

Will I get rescinded?

Got an F first semester because I didn’t attend a class that I was supposed to drop. I dropped that class second semester and made up both semesters online. My first semester was an A, most Bs and one C excluding that one class(2.87 gpa). Second semester I have a 2.16 GPA with one D.

Before someone says, I can resend it because this is a whole number GPA lower, my junior gpa was lower than 2 both semesters so this is technically an improvement.
