I don't want to pay for the monthly fee and I am looking into options. I only have few devices (iphone se 2022, macbook pro 2020, ps4, nintendo switch, pet camera) and my sibling has one iphone currently. The game consoles don't see much usage as often but I do use my phone and laptop frequently for streaming. The current offering for wifi 7 seems a bit overkill for us and I saw recommendations for the eero pro 6e. Does anyone else here have a similar apartment setup? Or experiences with other routers?

Yea it seems my partner is specifically being targeted by someone who keeps coming back to fuck with his car. Not even a couple days ago the back window was smashed around the edges but not all the way in. And today he woke up to his front wheel missing. Awesome! Hes currently making the police report as I type this.

Otherwise I sense that OPD won’t do shit about this unless theres video footage? He lives near Rainbow Recreation Center and across the street from the Gatorade company, is it worth asking them if they have footage facing that street?

I had an amazing place down in Santa Cruz called Hula’s Island Grill (the kingston crab curry was the craziest delicious thing ive ever had) and I notice we have nothing here that is similar. Besides maybe Trader Vic’s in Emeryville. Also Ono Hawaiian is just fine; but I find its not as fulfilling. Are there any places in Oakland or the greater bay area that are highly recommended?

Hi! I’ve been getting recommended this sub alot and I dont think I am the right demographic (transsexual latino dude with a overgrown mullet) but ladies + nbs + possible transmascs, i wanted to know if there are any places in oakland, sf, or berkeley with clothes to shop for!!

Not the typical rainbow fashion hats, loud shirts with corny phrases / pride sayings but like something you think a hot guy would look good in, “i WANT his fashion, i KNOW hes lgbt” type of way. I am open to looking like an middle school emo kid again (band shirts, chains on the pants), western wear (baggy bootcut pants, cut off sleeves, boots, even cowboy hat), or street wear fashion. i also know theres a huge possibility of it being windy af when we go to dolo park. but i wanted to see if there are any specific places you go to when you wanna get fashioned up , with a mix of unisex, mens and womens clothings.

i usually shop at uniqlo + abercrombie + zara but they dont have that flare im looking for :] tyia!

EDIT: Also if theres any queer / gay lgbt owned shops, id love to support! something like understory shop in oakland? or standard and strange in berkeley, in terms of out of the ordinary / unique clothing items?

Title. I do love to dance but I also wanna branch out my options to have some fun without needing to drink. I don’t have IG currently which is usually where I would find events but would love to see whats popping, either free or a small cover fee. Also I am open to day or night time activities!

My partner had his license plates stolen on 2 separate days, first the front then the back plate. He can’t tell if it was stolen at his job in a secured parking lot (minimal cameras) or at his apartment. Is there any reason why people would steal plates?

He is a black person so he is worried about driving around with no plates. Are there also any deterrents like sturdy bolts that make it impossible to steal plates?

Title. I see this sub recommending basic washcloths or african net sponges if people want a more effective way to exfoliate / wash their skin. I looked at my local stores online and came across “sisal scrubbers” at world market and I am wondering if anyone have used this specific sponge in the shower? Any noticeable difference compared to washcloths, hands, net sponges?

Hyper specific question, but I wanted to know if there are any african supermarkets that sell authentic net sponges? basically just trying to get a specific type of sponge for showering and exfoliating. Thanks!

Title. Basically I am trying to get to seminary ave on a regular occasion from lake merritt. Sometimes I use E 12th to Fruitvale, but then I get intimidated by High street since theres so many shit drivers when trying to cross. I cut through the residential streets after that but still have to end up on international since theres dead end streets after that point. Are there any alternative routes?

Crazy. I just grabbed a ticket off of my car with new signs that read Fridays, 12:00pm - 3:00pm, when the signs originally that were there said Fridays 4:00am - 6:00am. Are they just changing signs willy nilly now without informing anyone? Anyone else dealt with this?

I called the offices today and apparently, kaiser surgeons are only able to grant 4 weeks maximum time off for this procedure. I could only get an accommodation after the surgery happens but seriously? I really don’t understand why this surgeon is restricting more time off for me to be at home. Its very clear in most cases that people need more time off then immediately going back to work. And it also seems useless to try and schedule with another surgeon through the kaiser network if they all follow this baseline of 4 weeks.

has anyone here gotten a hysto procedure done through kaiser? is this the actual baseline? Otherwise has anyone had luck with their own primary care doctor extending time off?

Hi! I just scheduled my hysto surgery on August 14th for this year, and recently I asked my surgeon if she would be able to extend the time off for 5 or 6 weeks. She said that she could only do that after the surgery has taken place, eg if medical complications arise. But I am reading alot of posts on reddit saying that people were approved 6-8 weeks and needed that time off to fully recover, before they got surgery. I really dont understand why she is unable to give me more time off before going back to work. I work a labor job involving carrying heavy items like drinks n such. To me, 4 weeks doesn’t feel like enough to time.

has anyone had this issue before informing their job about upcoming surgery? or have any of your surgeons gave you a hard time about extending your recovery time? Asked your doctor for approval for more time?
