1st necessary repair on the little xcub

1st necessary repair on the little xcub

Had a pretty bad crash (for how slow and light this thing is) and completely tore up the nose and ripped off the landing gear and battery cover, 5 minutes and some hot glue later and its good as... not really new but it works now

Best 2nd plane?

Im not to the point where im ready for a 2nd plane but im bored so i figured id ask in advance, i have a little hobbyzone xcub 450mm right now and im having a pretty good time with it, i want to eventually graduate to and fix up an old nitro i got for pretty cheap (check my profile and just search plane if you want to see it) so i want to learn as much as possible but still have as much fun as i can, as for plane styles i like, i like fighters, (ww2, modern, doesn't matter although jets are quite cool) but im not super picky as long as it isn't incredibly ugly.

How do you make small planes fly smooth?

I can build nice flying big planes but small and normal size ones are really hard for me to not feel super unnatural and twitchy, any tips? And i already know the basics like make sure your center of thrust and mass are on the same level and that kind of stuff

If i bring my high complexity plane into a server with the complexity mod enabled will i hurt the experience for others?

I want to join some servers to test out a plane im making when its done but its gonna be around 1200 complexity, will that make others have bad connection or frame rate? I dont want to join a random server and ruin the peoples experience. My pretty weak laptop (a ryzen 5 40 apu with 8gb of ram) runs it okay but im always at really low settings and it still stutters a bit.

Just Some Normal Trailmakers Things

its not even like its jamming itself into the vehicle, theres a decent gap, ig pistons just dont play nice with aiming servos when it falls on the piston

How do i make a good boat with only the parts you get right after beating the first drill in pioneers?

I am really bad at making boats and having a horrible time with the water and not having any fun. Is there a good design or a good way to design a boat that just uses the most basic marine parts and isn't incredibly unfun to drive?

Is there a glitch to transfer the defense stat of one piece of armor to another?

I want to use the evil spirit set because it looks incredibly cool but the god-awful defense makes it incredibly dangerous to use, i was wondering if its possible to glitch the defense of good armor onto it to make it useable

I forgot how punishing this hobby is on taking a break

I recently stopped cubing for a bit and man, i feel like im right back at the sub 22 wall i took so long to break before, it doesn't help that the place near me just completely stopped doing competitions 😔

▲ 7 r/SWORDS

I've always wondered this.

I don't personally own any swords or weapons of any kind but im very interested in swords and other similar weapons and this is a question I've had for a while for those who use sharps regularly, does it feel sketchy doing things like mordschlag or half-swording or any other techniques involving holding the blade in some way? Like I know that because of how blades work it generally won't cut you if you don't let it slide around but it would have to still feel pretty sketchy right? Or is it just something you just get used to after a lot of time handling weapons. Not sure if this is the right sub for this, if not please direct me to a more fitting one

Me when a game won't open and I frig around for an hour trying to fix it, then just reinstall and it works fine and kept my save states somehow

Like seriously, i was so annoyed and i finally just gave up and reinstalled it, dreading having to progress back to where i was (i wasn't even super far in, the game is just really hard so it took me multiple hours to get a few levels in) imagine my surprise and joy when i opened it and checked my save states to find one i made before it broke and i didn't lose any progress

Best light games that play like modern games?

I want some recommendations for games that can easily run on a trimui brick and play like more modern games, as in they have good quality of life features and won't require a guide to be able to navigate. new games that are built on older systems also work, just no pico8 because I don't want to deal with setting it up as it seems rather complicated. Also no pokemon games, it's not that I don't like them it's just that I want recommendations that I don't already know about. and yes, I'm fine with rom hacks

A not very good big wheel helicopter i made

It uses as much power as a small star, can't go backwards, can barely turn, is slower than a slug on vacation and took me like 3 hours to get this good

u/butterflyknif — 1 month ago

How do you make a big wheel helicopter able to pitch and turn?

Im making a helicopter and ive gotten it to where it hovers pretty well and doesn't counter rotate a ton but im struggling to figure out how to make it actually functional as a vehicle
