I went fishing a few weeks ago, I used a small spoon and managed to catch 1 6” trout. Any better options? This river gets stocked with trout but I was very disappointed that I was only able to catch one.
I’ve (27M) been going on 7-8 dates with this woman (25F), tbh it at all started as “we should get to know each other better” but every time we go out, it gets just feel like dates so idk that might be my first mistake, not making my intentions clear but she was the one that first reached out to me. Anyways, today we met up for coffee and then she came over to my house. We spent about 7 hours at my house doing a variety of things, chatting, board games and music. We also watched the fireworks together and talked, I walked her out to her car and I told her she looked great today and then had a short convo then I said well “I guess I’ll let you go now” I went for the hug as usual, held her for a while and I said “I feel like I really need to kiss you now” and she said why and I said you just look so pretty and she said well it’s awkward cause you announced it?? and she said “well you can kiss my cheeks”. This is the 3rd time I kiss her cheek… did I fuck it up by announcing it? To be honest I just wanted consent and to respect her boundaries. Now I’m at home feeling like an idiot -_-. I feel like I should’ve just went for it but oh well. She seems like she’s open for more dates. Just feel very stupid and idk if she will explain the rest, she just said it was awkward bc I announced it. I think I should let her know straight up that I like her and would like to get more serious before I even attempt to actually kiss her.
Does her “made it awkward by announcing it” gives me the green light to just do it when the moment feels right? I feel like I need to see her ASAP and get things straight.

I am seriously considering picking up a used 2021 Mach E preferably with the GT package, I am looking at prices and wow! they are not bad at all. Seems like a steal? I know EV's depreciate like crazy but I am planning on spending maybe 23-25k on a new commuter.
I currently own a 700hp 2012 Shelby GT500, a 2017 F-150 King Ranch and my daily driver is a 2019 Lexus UX200, its a small crossover that I really like but my sister is in need of a better vehicle and I think I will be selling it to her.
Which leads me to this subreddit, I have always liked the Mach E's since it came out, my current commute is 33 miles each way so about 66-70mi everyday considering I do additional driving after work sometimes. It seems like a Mach E would check all of my boxes.
Any pros and cons of buying a used Mach E with lets say ... 40-60k miles? I own a home so the charging wouldnt be an issue. I am not interested in taking roadtrips in it, it would be solely used for the purpose of driving to work and back, maybe run errands on the weekends.
Hey everyone, just need to vent a bit and see if anyone else has experienced this.
I’ve been in my first home for a year and 9 months now, and I’m seriously considering selling or renting it out once I hit the 2-year mark. To be blunt, it just doesn’t feel like home. I don’t know if it’s because I live alone, the vibe of the neighborhood, or something else entirely? but I finally figured out a major piece of the puzzle, and it sounds incredibly specific.
I miss trees.
My house isn't a brand-new build, but it was built in 2019, and the neighborhood is pretty young. Because of that, there are absolutely no mature trees outside. Growing up, I lived in a neighborhood with 30 to 40-year-old trees, a massive canopy, and a ton of shade. I honestly never realized how much that environment affected my mental health and how I view a neighborhood until now.
When I bought this place, I thought, "Oh, I'll get used to it, it’s fine." But almost two years later, I haven't. It feels sterile to me. I made the mistake of focusing on the "newer" house aspects and completely overlooked how much the actual surrounding environment matters to my quality of life.
I know this might sound stupid or come across as a "privileged" problem to have. Believe me, I am incredibly grateful to be in a position where I can likely rent this place out and look for another house. But it’s genuinely affecting my everyday happiness, and it's become one of the main reasons I want to leave.
Has anyone else moved into a newer development and realized they just can’t do the "cookie-cutter, zero-mature-trees" vibe? Did you stick it out, or did you bounce as soon as you could?
Hey yall, I posted my $210k salary recently and since then I have received a raise. This is my second raise, no promotion just a raise for being good at my job I suppose? I got a raise back in December that took me from making $175k to $210k and now this raise that gets me to $240k. I supposed staying here was worth it, I didn’t receive a single raise my first 2 years with the company and I was making $43k but I was very happy and decided to stay.
These are direct deposit bank statements, that is exactly what hits my account after taxes. The checks are all the same so I currently make $13,600 after taxes, with the exception of 2 months a year where it’s $20,400.
Absolutely unreal considering I’m an average 27 year old guy, living in a normal house that I pay a mortgage on. I have most of my money invested but I need to max out my 401k. I do not have children and currently not married.

Pretty much all are factory sealed, i have opened versions that I play regularly. I think I’m missing one of the pink marbled self-titles albums and the YSL promo - i’ve been offered a couple over the years but it’s hard to find one in sealed mint condition, which I always aim for.
I think my favourites pressings are the 2025 matte white self titled FNAC Exclusive, or the Australia tour green Future Nostalgia. The Japanese Radical Optimism cover goes hardest 🤖🦈 I also have a master accetate of Future Nostalgia from Abbey Road studios (my terminology might be off on this one, I’m not technical when it comes to music!)
I also collect magazines and have a pretty extensive collection of Dua covers, from a complete Vogue run to more niche zines like Coup de Main 💕

After almost 2 years of wanting to buy a truck I finally sid it. It’s a 2016 KR 3.5 FX4 package with the 6 speed transmission. It’s such a blast to drive, I love the Blue Jeans metallic color reminds me a lot of my GT500! It’s basically going to be a 3rd vehicle used for camping trips, stuff around the house and the occasional drive to work!
The tires that it came with are absolutely crap, what size tires would yall recommend? I want that more aggressive stance, don’t care for gas mileage. Thanks yall
I (27M) recently met an interesting woman (25F). We have been mutuals on FB for about 7 years but never really talked; we kind of just liked each other's stuff, and I guess she wished me a happy birthday last year (?). Well, anyway, I recently posted a photo of my cat on my story and she swiped up to say how cute my cat was. Out of nowhere, she drops: “Are you open to making new friends? We should talk more, become better friends, and hang out sometime.” So, I said sure. That same week, she suggested we meet up that weekend, so we came up with a plan. We grabbed coffee, went for a walk to look at birds, sat on the grass by the lake for a mini picnic, played a board game, and then walked and talked some more.
I felt like it went pretty smoothly considering how awkward I can be. I texted her that night saying that it was really nice to see her, blah blah. Then I suggested doing something during the week and she said, "SURE TOMORROW OR TUESDAY!?" so we made plans for Tuesday (two days ago). We had dinner, talked, and laughed a lot. Then we went to get ice cream and shared one... I was the one who said we should go home because it was getting late and I had work the next day.
I know this sounds super stupid to ask, but ARE THESE DATES?? I haven’t dated in 5 years, so I feel like I’m rusty, but maybe I missed a lot of the context clues... is this just part of becoming better friends?? We’ve been talking every day since then, and now we have plans for Sunday.
God, I hate the way my brain reacts to stuff like this, and I’m scared I’ll mess it up. I haven’t tried to make any physical contact other than hugs, but last night I did make a comment about her looking very feminine and pretty, and she seemed to take it well.
