Best friend has Cf but doesn't understand it herself because of some intellectual disabilities. Could any one help me understand anything?

Hi.
I have a best friend with Cf. and I joined so I could learn more about it. I really want to be the best friend I can be to her.
I have a very extremely rare genetic condition quite I know I like it when my friends are interested in learn about it and and supporting me with the know they do have even if they do not have it.
So I thought to do the same for her. I have tried to ask her about Cf but she has some intellectual disabilities and do not understand it. wanted to know if anyone else could explain what life is like with the condition? I'll try to make a list and if anyone could just answer even just one question I would be so grateful.

Questions

  1. What is it like living with Cf?
  2. What symptom’s should I pay attention to or be concerned about if she brings them up?
  3. How can I insure she doesn't get sick?
  4. As someone with CF what would be something that you would want a friend to do for you concerning the condition that shows that they care and they want to help?
  5. How does a G tube work?
  6. What can I do for her when she gets sick?

Thank you all for reading this. I hope no one minds my questions or anything like that. I also hope no one minds I'm here even if I don't have cf.

What would be some really cool and good beatboxers to show someone that never really watched it before?

Hi.
I have been a long time beatbox fan for about 5 years. I have made a friend with another blind person like myself who has heard of some beatboxing and I wanted to make a playlist for her of artists that beatbox. Like videos and stuff of people doing different beatbox stuff. She has heard of Wing and Beat Pella House.
She is open to almost anything. Just throw me your ideas. I'm not limited.

Anyone else on here blind and have a job in the medical world?

Hi. I just wanted to know if anyone else out there is blind and has experience in the medical field. I'll share some details to help clear things up. I am a 16-year-old girl, so I am still only in high school. I was not born completely blind. I was born with a visual impairment that progressed to total blindness when I was 9 years old. It's been about 7 years now. I actually didn't receive my first diagnosis until I was 8, and it was the wrong diagnosis, which I didn't find out last summer. When I first got my diagnosis, I started researching it and learned a lot. That marked the beginning of my lifelong passion for medicine and research, especially in chronic or genetic conditions. Last summer really confirmed my path. I was referred to a geneticist here in my state and received a very rare genetic diagnosis. I researched it and realized I really enjoy figuring out the underlying causes of certain conditions. I also looked into what jobs I might enjoy. I’ve decided I want to pursue an MD/PhD in either Genetics or Biochemistry. I want to do research but also apply it to helping patients. I have a few questions, though: 1. Is there anyone who has been blind and successfully become a geneticist or something similar? 2. What technology is available that could help me with this work? 3. Is it possible for someone with no vision to have this kind of career? I'm sure I have more questions, but I can’t think of them right now. I hope everyone is having the best day possible, and if not, I hope it gets better.

Anyone have any tips for finding a church that I belong to?

Hi.
I wanted to find a church that fits my beliefs but also accepts me.
I am an AFAB but asexual and bye. I'm also autistic and ADHD.
I live in the Us southeast. I have grown up in church.
I prefer the southern baptist churches because the music is not as loud and not as many people. But I feel like if people from the church found out things might end badly.
I just wanted either some advice to find a church that I like and can belong to or some support.

Give me your song recommendation’s that just make you feel good when you feel down about being different?.

Hi. I was listening to some music and found some songs that just make me feel good about myself. They are very good songs to help you feel confident in your identity. I wanted to see what others like to listen to. Here are some of mine:

  1. "This is Me" by Kesha
  2. "Lost Boy" by Ruth Bee
  3. "What it Looks Like" by Huntrex
  4. "A Thousand Years" by Christina Perri
I hope you all are having the best day.

Anyone else here christian but also apart of the Lgbtq+ community?

Hi.
So, over the past year, I have been doing a lot of self-exploration and discovery. I really wanted to figure out all I could about myself. Also, I'm 16, so I think this is typical.
I have a weird age thing. I am physically 16, but mentally I can understand a lot of things that people of my age do not. For example, medically, I can explain things that most people don’t learn until they are in graduate school. I'm not trying to brag at all, just trying to explain. I can also multiply up to three digits by three digits in my head.
But then there’s also my old lady side that loves southern gospel music and knitted sweaters and stuff like that. But then I am definitely younger emotionally and socially. I would say I am quite naïve when it comes to understanding people's intentions. I believe that everyone is a good person and no one would ever want to hurt someone, until I get hurt. Then I tend to think it’s my fault if I get hurt.
Sorry if that was a long description of myself, but I just wanted to ensure people understand that even though I am sixteen, I am not like most sixteen-year-olds.
In this self-discovery, I have also been exploring my romantic feelings. I’ve discovered I am definitely on the A-sexual spectrum and that I only want to have a platonic and romantic relationship with a partner in the future, where we just care about each other and show each other that we care. But nothing more.
I also discovered that I don't feel attracted only to men; I would want to have a relationship with either a woman or a man. It doesn't matter to me as long as they care about me, love me, and respect me.
The problem is, my parents are also Christians and do not support the Q+ community. The only one who supports them is my older sister.
I wanted to ask if any of you girls had any advice or support for me. I'm sorry if this was too long or if I am asking too much.

Does anyone here have any ideas on how to reduce symptom’s upon standing or sitting up?

Hi. I don't know if this is the right platform or if this is even a question I can ask, so if I am doing anything wrong here, please delete. I'm really sorry. I just wanted to know if there is any way to help decrease my symptoms when I stand up or sit up. I tend to feel my heart race, feel light-headed and dizzy, see bright spots in my vision, hear ringing in my ears, and feel a little breathless when I stand up or sit up. I just wanted to know if there's anything I could do to help decrease my symptoms.

Anyone else here deaf-blind and have any tips on how to wake yourself up independently?

Hi.
I am a 16 year old in high school. I am ashamed to say I still have my mom wake me up in the morning. I am wanting to to work on my independence to prepare to go off to college in a few years. I really want to start waking myself up in the morning but I can't really hear much at all when I take out my hearing aids. I have tried setting an alarm on my phone and I couldn't hear it. I also tried to use my apple watch wake me up but it didn't vibrate enough to wake me up. I'm a pretty heavy sleeper. I wanted to know if any one had any ideas or advice?

Just found out I have this.

Hi. So I was diagnosed last week with vasovagal syncope, I believe that's what it was called, and I was researching it. I found out that it is a form of dysautonomia. Two questions: even if I was not told I have dysautonomia, can I still stay active? Also, does anyone have any experience with this? What has helped you?
