I was just looking at Alvin Toffler’s amazing book Future Shock, published in 1970. What are its equivalent books for the 2020s?

Future Shock, and it’s two sequels, is still an interesting reads now, now for what predicting is ahead of us now, but what had already happened. But what are some books of this era that had that same impact?

Who is the best heavyweight to fight past the age of 40?

Just to clarify, I’m asking who fought the best past the age of 40.

The quick answer is often George Foreman, who won the title at age 45 and had a. Incredibly storied career. But both Klitschko brothers fought past 40 and I wonder how the 40+ version of them does against the 42-year old Foreman who fought Holyfield.
A number of other guys have been very good over the age of 40. Who was the best?

It’ll be weird to have just two shows in the 11:30pm time slot. Which show will be the next to end it’s run?

I’m not sure which one it’ll be, but I doubt that both the Tonight Show and Kimmil make it into the 2030s together.

Tommy was a terrible candidate for being made into the family. While it’s not in the story, I wonder if Jimmy held some suspicion or uncertainty as to whether or not Tommy would really be made?

The leaders of the family weren’t stupid. They knew that Tommy killed a made man, and have messed around with the wives of made guys. He was also a total hothead for who was violent for personal reasons, which is the opposite of what the family wants from members.

I wonder if these things crossed Jimmy’s mind. I often felt that they did and that we see a glimpse of that in the phone booth when we learn that Tommy is “gone”.

How do I resist the temptation or be petty with pekoe and not take the moral high ground?

I’m deeply sensitive and I want to hit back at people in ways that are petty. How do I resist this temptation?

Suppose Frank Sinatra were born in 1996, making him around 30 years old now. Same perfect voice, perfect pitch, etc, just born in another era. What genres do you think he might be making music in?

It’s a crazy idea. Because even rock n roll is not what it used to be. Would Frank be a rapper? A country singer? Maybe a guy like Harry Styles or Ed Sheeran? What would be doing? Or maybe he wouldn’t be an entertainer at all?

How much time passes between the execution of Tommy and the very next scene?

Tommy is murderer by the family, we see Jimmy crying outside the diner with Henry standing next to him. The next scene is Henry’s “last day as a wise guy” and it begins with him leaving the house with a paper bag in his hand after just doing a line of cocaine. How much time is supposed to have passed between those scenes?

First of all, a US vs Iran was has been theorized for decades. There were writings about how it would play out as far back as the 1990s if not earlier. And we always knew Iran could mine and close the Strait. So why wasn’t a plan to mitigate this put into action in the first hour of the war?

But my question…. Can we get the strait open? I hope the answer will be yes. But to do it will require a gigantic and sustained effort. I hope it can happen. Because the alternative is not good at all.

For a long time I’ve been checking out various versions of NQ and I’ll admit it. Poor audio quality turns me off. But this version - this bootleg - is one of the better ones. There is a section of the recording where it sounds like someone though a giant blanket over the band and they kept playing, but on the whole it’s good audio and it’s also a heck of a great jam.
For me, nothing thing beats the version on TSRTS. But this one is close.

The perfect NQ would have been 35 mins long, and have the same use of the melotron as it’s used in TSRTS and one of those long piano solos like we hear in other versions, and it it would also have the sound quality of TSRTS which is perfect.

I just want to know the work is done properly. But for several reasons I won’t be going up on the roof I my 2-story home. Plus, I lack the expertise to evaluate the job. What’s a good idea to have it expected ? I don’t mind spending a few bucks to do it.

Let’s be honest, there are many great bootlegs that will never get released due to poor sound quality. That’s just the way it works. But there are some very good sounding bootlegs of great performances. So why not make this wi to some sort of archival release the way the Rolling Stones have done with their countless shows of the past?

We have 4 LZ live albums .

TSRSTS, BBC SESSIONS, Htwww, and the 02 arena show. Surely there be others in the future.
