Couples on dating apps
Specifically “hetero” couples. It’s always on the girls profile. She’ll be the most beautiful girl you’ve ever seen. Then comes the picture of her crusty (and usually balding) man. Just why?

Not much else to say here. Thinking of quitting my job. I’m too young to be here. I rather have a “young ho” job. that’s all. Bye
Will we ever feel this again…? I think it only happens once.
You only let yourself feel so hurt one time and then everything changes from there.
I feel so cold now. Vulnerability is scary. Loving and accepting love used to be so easy. Now it feels so distant and unfamiliar.
I’m 5’8 and was seeing a 5’2 girl, shortest I had ever talked to and I genuinely didn’t enjoy it. I hated having to look down. Hated how much I had to bend. Kissing her felt like a chore because it was never comfortable. Hate that I really only saw the top of her head. It just felt… off
I really enjoy someone who’s similar in height because being able to see their face makes such a huge difference to me lol. - and everything is easier physically
I also think it’s bizarre when I see crazy height differences in public, because I just know they must struggle with everything I mentioned above. It just doesn’t fit quite right. And it doesn’t feel worth it imo.
Anybody else feel like this ?
Edit: I knew this was gonna be an unpopular opinion but damn..yall are ready to go to war for a big height difference relationship lol! To each their own I guess
Heyyyy Reddit I’ve been seeing this guy since beginning of June we’ve only seen each other 4 times because we live in different cities. Every time it’s the same: go out -> his place -> sleep together. And we don’t text unless it’s to plan the next time seeing each other.
I like how casual and low pressure it has been but the last two times we were together he introduced me to some of his friends (like in passing at the bar). And now we plan to see each other again but he told me ahead of time his friends might be over and he’s not sure how late they would stay. He asked “if I mind if he has people over”. I don’t mind but also it’s a totally different dynamic than just saying hi in passing.
Should I skip out? I guess I am overthinking about why do I need to hang around his friends if we are just casual.
Edit: y’all getting too freaky in this comment section😂 but thanks for all the comments.. I am indeed a chronic over thinker
1 year and a few months since the break up. Been no contact ever since. He’s the only person who ever No caller ID me, he is blocked every single platform you could think of- when I first ended things I received 100s of No caller ID from him. It all stopped when he found a new girl to obsess over. Even though he was in a new relationship he proceeded to call me once back in September and October of last year. It was quiet since then, and I actually felt some peace that he had forgotten about me. Fast forward to now.. I received a No caller ID at midnight on a Saturday.
I’m like 99% sure that it was him. I guess I’ll never know for sure, but I’ve never received those besides from him.
Honestly I feel scared. I don’t want him to remember me at all. I erased that chapter. I’m traumatized. I did some stalking and find he is still in a relationship, so why? Another thing I’ll never know.

An auto shop damaged my car badly and their insurance deemed it a total loss. I negotiated for a 6,000 settlement, I was just wondering if there is any room to ask for more?
Feeling very sentimental, wish I didn’t have to give her up because she’s a beauty😞
Reddit, please help.
My 2013 dodge dart gave out on me this morning. It drove fine for 10 minutes then I noticed a clanking noise getting worse as I drove. I pulled over twice. I didn’t know what I was looking for. I had to go to work so I continued my drive. WORST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE. It got so bad I pulled over again, this time my tire coming off!!!!!!
The shop I had it towed to says they believe it was from when I got my oil change (which included a tire rotation), and that the last person didn’t properly put them back in. This was June 19th when I had that done. Fast forward to today. Hell.
What exactly it was doing: loud clanking noise and shaking that is worse when my foot is not on the accelerator while driving. When I was on the highway making slight lefts, car is ok, when my car was making slight rights, it got so loud and vibrating like it was going to explode and that’s when I pulled over and the tire came off… (denting my cars frame, of course)
Any advice I would appreciate thank you.
I hate dating because I hate knowing that there are others on the roster. I struggle so much with wanting to be the only one. Even if I really liked someone and they felt the same way, knowing that they were juggling between me or someone else would kill all that attraction. I believe this insecurity comes from my own mother leaving me as a baby, therefore my whole life I just want someone to choose me. Because my own mom didn’t.
I genuinely feel like I will never date again because of this, it’s not something I’m willing to give up. I just want to be the only one. I never am.
Like most people in this sub, I didn’t leave the first time there was infidelity. I wish so badly that I did. The amount of time and heart break I would’ve saved… I grieve that the most. Looking back at old messages where it was so blatantly obvious I should’ve just left. It truly haunts me sometimes… it hits a bit harder because the relationship consumed my college years and memories.
I know I got out but damn… I will never get those years back
Hi all, I would like to ask if anyone else has noticed that majority of biracial people suffer from deep insecurities
(I say that as one, ofc). As a mixed person I’ve dated other mixed people, one which I notice the most insecurity is the black/white mix. I guess we can all make our own think pieces on that one- specifically for me, those who are considered “white passing” demand to be accepted as black but they love the benefit they get from not phenotypically looking black. What is your opinion?
This might sound fucked up but the amount of relief I feel from knowing my ex is treating his new gf badly is... life changing. It’s the best kind of closure. I feel so free. I feel validated? Like I wasn’t crazy… because he made me feel so crazy that I eventually started questioning myself and if what I went through was even real, or if it was ever even “that bad”
Anyone else feel this way?
Hi guys! I’m 22f and I live in my parents home, they do not live there full time as they travel a lot, so they are only here maybe a ~3 months of the year. The remaining time it is just me and my 23M brother. He is a loser, doesn’t clean up after himself, can’t do his own laundry, neglects our pets, broke, and just got a girl pregnant recently. And yet, he gets to enjoy living at home the same I do. I do my part (and more, because he never does his) I’m the only one who takes the trash out, cleans, takes care of our pets (both which he brought home btw) and actually cares for the house. My parents being far away struggle to keep boundaries, as he does what he wants anyway. The thing is, I blame them fully because he never has any real consequences. I don’t know what to do, it’s driving me crazy. I like livjng at home and saving money but I hate to clean up after someone else, and on top of that- he brings girls over to the house frequently even after being told not to. It just feels so unfair because he is the biggest loser freeloader and no matter what he does he gets the same benefit.
I’ve been out of my relationship for a year and in that year I’ve solely had hookups only. To me it’s really fun in the moment but the impending doom I feel the next day is almost a guarantee. I tell myself I’m okay with casual but idk… deep down I think I’m just running from the pain I felt of being hurt by someone I once loved
We are both single, although we work for the same company we are in different regions completely and do not interact ever. That was part of the reason why I decided to go ahead with it the first time. While it was fun, I did feel some regret afterwards (because it was mid) and yet… I’d do it again just for the thrill?
I actually want to sleep with a different coworker this time, as there were two I was feeling a vibe with last time.
I also want to say I’m only debating this because this is the last work trip where I will see these people again. I feel like I’m being messy but yolo? Idk?
Also want to mention there is no power dynamic as we are in same level positions
My mother left me and my dad when I was only 1 years old. But for some context, before I was born, my dad was dating a woman (my stepmom) who was pregnant with my half brother. He ultimately left her and went to be with my mom, and got her pregnant shortly after as me and my brother are only a few months apart.
My mother was young, struggled with addiction, and honestly would argue that she was being trafficked, although I don’t know the extent of it. (She was a bargirl)
My stepmother despised my mother for many reasons, she was the mistress, a lot younger, hate for bargirls, blah blah. But she chose to forgive my dad and get back with him in order to have a “full family” me, my brother, her, my dad.
Except growing up she beat me so many times I can’t remember, one of the worst times I bled from my mouth while my dad was on a work trip. The abuse started before I even knew she was not my real mom. And after I found out, I feel like it just became worse. She was so verbally abusive towards me, always insulted me and my mother, calling her a whore, saying I’m just like her, everything! I’ve heard it all.
Now I’m an adult, she doesn’t take accountability for what happened, and says that I have to understand I was a “bad kid” (I admit I used to lie and steal her accessories) and that she hated my mom. But to me that doesn’t warrant how she treated me. It makes me sad thinking about my younger self and how I felt back then. I didn’t understand her hatred for me was stemmed from my mother.
I’m having a hard time coming to terms with this. It also makes me furious that my both my stepmom and my dad take no accountability because “well you turned out alright”
Yes. Because of me.
Any advice? Thank you
I just want to preface this by saying no I’m no longer with him lol. But I’m genuinely curious what everyone has to say about my experience.
He was my college sweetheart and we were together for 3 years. I actually found out about what he was doing on my graduation weekend 🫠 which I will forever remember.
He was visiting a massage parlor website (obviously not regular massages)
I had never heard of it before, but with one simple search I could tell immediately what it was. I mean.. there’s a damn pop up saying you must over 18 to enter the website LMAO.
Long story short, he denied denied denied even with the proof I had (transactions, name of the parlor, sketchy reviews, etc). I actually stayed for a month after (I know… shameful) but it was because I still processing what truly happened. I have a much clearer mind now and honestly look back and laugh at the situation. It is sad though, and I feel for younger me.
Has anyone else experienced this? What do you think about younger men seeking these services? Is it becoming more common?
