What’s the best weighted vest brand for a plus size person?

I’ve been wanting to get a weighted vest to wear around the house. I’m around a 2x-3x and I can’t find anything about good plus size weighted vests. Thanks in advance!

[26/F] Seeking Platonic Friendship

Honestly, I just want to make genuine human connection.

I cherish honesty more than anything and I am a type A person that’s wound a little too tight. I’m passionate about cooking and music- combing the two is my idea of cuisine fusion!

I’m in an odd transition phase right now in life where the door is wide open and people are coming and going faster than I know what to do with.

I care deeply and have a simplistic approach to most things- basically, I’m boring as hell but I try to notice and note all the little things that make up the world.

I’m not the best conversationalist but I’m an avid learner and try to approach everything with pure curiosity pinched with a touch of anxiety.

Here’s a little playlist of what my current song fixations are-

  1. Pale & white by humming people
  2. Love the game by LEILA
  3. No Sé by Honahlei
  4. Small wins by Dekkar
  5. Losin control by Paul spring

Those are the main things you need to know…

If you’re interested in chatting, send me a small playlist of your current song fixations and a learned practice that heavily influences who you are as a human.

Thanks for your time!

I can’t shake my harmful thoughts

My mind is a maze filled with very disturbing intrusive thoughts.

I don’t know where these thoughts stemmed from- probably my shit childhood… but I don’t remember my childhood.

Anywhoo, lately I’ve been having very bad intrusive thoughts… again, I don’t remember my childhood and I don’t know where to start to make these thoughts stop.

A lot of them start as a mantra “you’re a worthless human and you deserve to die” type shit…. It disturbs me to no end. I know I don’t have to listen or act on these thoughts but god they seem so real.

Has anyone else suffered badly with intrusive thoughts?? Any tips to help take them?? Thanks in advance

A message to my mother

You crossed my mind the other day

You may not have always had the right answers but you’ve always been a morally conscious human- always trying to do the honest thing.

As a kid, I found this insanely infuriating because a win is a win. But you ALWAYS earned your wins in the fairest way. There were even instances where you lost something due to others in authority not having honest morals.

I assume you learned this trait from Baba and it’s a very admirable trait that you tried deeply to install into your children.

I don’t know your thoughts for me right now but the reason for this message was to explain that I’m learning to understand life on my own terms. Create my own moral roadmap that leads me to a fulfilled life.

Prolonged space between us is what I desire and hope that you will respect. Thank you and I wish you well.

Does being available make a person humble or worthless?

On one side, a group argues that being an accessible person to everyone, that person who's always available to do everything, that person anyone can reach, is being a humble person, who doesn't make distinctions, the "people's person."

On the other side, there are those who argue that being accessible to everyone, being available, makes you lose value and respect in the eyes of people, because people value what's scarce.

WHAT DO YOU THINK?

I don’t feel valuable enough to have friends

I just feel like I’m not grammatically skilled enough to converse and make friends. I have lots of niche hobbies that I find deeply interesting but, when expressed to others, it just seems like I’m explaining a foreign concept.

Maybe I just simply don’t ask enough questions about the person I’m trying to be friends with or maybe I just truly hate talking?? Does anyone else feel like this??

I crave deep emotional connection with people who I want to be friends with but, at the same time, I miss the days when I could invite a friend over or go over their house and we just clean their room and listen to music- little to no talking, just enjoying one another’s company and companionship.

Or, maybe I’m holding onto adolescent friendships and adult friendships don’t work the same??

I truly feel crazy asking this but how do you form a solid emotionally connected friendship without trauma bonding or dumping occurring?? Can I have meaningful friendships without needing them to know the worst parts of me or is that manipulation?

Any advice or resources would be insanely helpful- thank you in advance!!

Stay curious, stop judging

Long story short, I was chatting with a person on here the other day about some stuff they were going through. I was asking questions to better understand the situation they were in so we could come to an appropriate resolution, as one does. Up until this point, I thought the conversation was going good.

Before we could get to the point of resolution, they abruptly stopped the conversation by assuming I was the age of their younger sister… Basically saying it was like talking to someone less experienced than them for advice.

After their remark, I wished them well and saw myself out because I can take a hint. To their defense, maybe I was just giving them bad advice… nonetheless, we digress and move on.

But this got me thinking, when did people stop choosing curiosity and default to judgement?

It’s a common theme everywhere in this day and age-

Assuming someone is uneducated because they have tattoos. Considering a person to be a bad parent because their child is crying on a plane. Treating a coworker as less competent based on their entry-level admission. Etc. etc.

I guess what I’m trying to say is bring back being curious. Curiosity holds space for growth while judgement eliminates the opportunity for deeper connection.

I would honestly love to hear about any time in which you chose curiosity and it led you down an unexpected path?

Hope this makes sense and stay curious, fellow strangers!

Hit me with your best cookware set/piece and why!

I consider myself to be well versed in the cookware scene but this group has changed my mind on that.

I have researched a lot of brands of ALL TYPES of cookware! Carbon steel, stainless, ceramic, cast iron, copper, etc etc!! I’m just looking to further educate myself about cookware because I love to cook!

I know cookware is not a one size fits all but I would love to hear about your favorite sets or specific pieces that yield the best result for your certain needs!

I want to know everything! Thank you!!

Guide to find new music from someone who listens to EVERYTHING

Long story short, I listen to music everyday like it's my full time job. Any music I can get my little gremlin fingers on will eventually be sandwiched between these ears of mine.

I use the website called 'everynoise.com' (Here's the link- https://everynoise.com/ ). It has every genre of music known- I'm talking Russian dance pop, punk columbiano, Munich indie, Belgian classical piano etc etc. When you go to the website there will be a scattered list of genres that you can click on to reveal artists who make that type of music.

It has single handedly fueled my bizarre, sometimes questionable, music taste.

This has been the only resource I've been able to find with a plethora of music. I hope this resource finds you!! Thanks for reading!
