Moving to Italy for university and considering going no-contact with family — looking for real experiences

Hi everyone,
I’m an adult international student who has been accepted to study in Italy. I come from a very conservative, traditional family background where family ties are very strong and cutting contact with parents is not accepted and can lead to serious emotional reactions.
Why ?
My life fell like a prisoner with no right or freedom and i get violence and emotional abused
To live in survival mood for 20 years , to never be a teenager or a child , i don’t even remember anything from my childhood my nerves system delete a lot of my memories so i survive wearing a mask 24/7
I don’t even believe in their religion or culture so yea i can’t take it anymore they never apologize not even once in their life
If i died they be mad cause people will see them as omg their only daughter die
They don’t care about me they care about what people think
They bring me to this life and they think i own them a lot
Cause they give me house and food and education
While i payed for all that with my mental health

Once I move to Italy, I will be legally and financially independent, and I’m considering going no-contact with my family at some point after I settle.
My concern is not my legal status in Italy, but how families actually react in real life when this happens.
Part of my plan would include changing my phone number, deleting social media accounts they know about, and starting a fully independent life.
I’m looking for people who have actually gone through something similar.

Did you move abroad and later go no-contact with your family?
How did your family react?
If they knew your address, did they actually try to come find you, or was that fear bigger than what happened in reality?
In your experience, is it safer to stay in a university dorm (where the address is known to the system) or move into shared private housing where it’s less likely for family to know your location?
What practical steps helped you stay safe and independent?
And how to actually cut them off ?

If i go no contact and delete everything they may report me missing and they may fly here in both situations

Is there anything you wish you had done differently?
I’m especially interested in hearing from people with strict or traditional family backgrounds where no-contact is not easily accepted.

Thank you for any experiences or advice.

Not sure if I’m experiencing a deity calling or just coincidences

I’m a baby witch and still taking my very first steps into witchcraft. I mainly wanted to ask if it’s okay not to respond when a deity seems to be reaching out to you.

Before I ever considered myself a witch, I kept seeing witchcraft-related content everywhere. It felt like it was constantly finding me rather than the other way around. My FYP became full of witchcraft content, especially content about Hecate. The weird thing is that I used to scroll past those videos and skip them, but the algorithm kept pushing similar content to me anyway.

I mostly read tarot, and surprisingly I seem to be pretty good at it. Recently, I’ve been wondering about Hecate because of how often she shows up in my feed and because of a few experiences that have stood out to me.

One was finding spiders in unusual places. The first was a white spider with very long legs that I’d never seen before in my life, and the second a regular house spider in my clothes. that never had happened to me before,

The thing that really got my attention, though, was a dream where I saw an altar dedicated to Hecate. In the dream, I remember saying that I wasn’t ready yet. I felt like maybe one day I’d like to leave an offering or build an altar, but not right now.

I’m not trying to jump to conclusions or assume every unusual thing is a sign, which is why I wanted to ask more experienced practitioners.

Do these experiences sound like a deity calling, or are they just coincidences? And if it is a deity reaching out, is it okay to acknowledge it but choose not to pursue a relationship yet? Has anyone else experienced something similar?

What happens if someone ends their own life? Does it affect the next life?

From a past-life/reincarnation perspective, what happens if someone ends their own life? Does it affect future lives, create karma, or cause a soul to become stuck in some way? I’m interested in hearing different beliefs and experiences on this.

Anyone remember being an animal in their past life?

I don’t know, the question just popped up in my mind.
I believe that people with really bad karma may be reborn as animals as a temporary punishment

Qual è la migliore banca in Italia per uno studente internazionale?

Ciao a tutti, mi trasferirò presto in Italia come studente internazionale. Vorrei aprire il mio primo conto bancario e sto cercando qualcosa di facile da aprire, con poche commissioni e adatto agli studenti. Ho sentito parlare di Intesa Sanpaolo e UniCredit. Qualcuno ha esperienze o consigli?

Student moving to Italy — how can I start earning ~€600/month as a beginner?

Moving to Italy soon as a student with skills in design and photography.
I’m trying to find realistic ways to start making around €600/month as a beginner.

I’m also open to ideas outside these fields if they actually work in real life. (Online or local job)
Any advice on how to get started and find my first income?

Is Death a “Mental Programming”?

**A Theory About Biological Immortality Through Consciousness**

Since there are organisms that are considered almost immortal, whose cells continuously regenerate and do not easily die, this suggests that death may not be an absolute law for every living being.
And based on the idea of evolution, it is possible that humans themselves could eventually evolve to slow aging or greatly extend lifespan.

Even genetically, we notice differences between people; some age faster while others age more slowly, as if the body itself contains different possibilities for survival.

The mind also has a powerful influence on the body; sometimes the mind can weaken the body or even end a person’s life when all conditions of fear and surrender are present.
There are experiments often used as examples of the mind’s power over the body, such as the story of a prisoner who was blindfolded and led to believe his blood was being slowly drained, while in reality little or no blood was actually taken. He only heard the sound of water dripping, believing it was his blood.
After several hours, his body collapsed and he died because he was completely convinced he was dying.
that shows that the mind can sometimes treat deep belief as physical reality, and the body begins responding to it.

So the question becomes: if a person completely freed themselves from the idea of death and from attachment to time itself, living fully in the present moment without a constant sense of ending, could the mind develop a stronger survival mechanism?
A form of continuous inner regeneration simply because the person truly believes they can continue existing.

Even the idea of changing the body may not be entirely impossible; some people believe the subconscious mind and psychological influence can gradually alter aspects of the body, whether in appearance, expression, or overall physical form.
Example: with subliminal

There are also experiments related to this idea: people who only imagined themselves training every day still developed noticeable muscular and neurological improvements, similar to people who physically trained.
This suggests that the mind is not just something that thinks, but may also be an active partner in reshaping the body.

And perhaps humanity’s awareness of time and endings is itself part of what binds humans to mortality.
So maybe human limits are not final limits, but limits humans accepted because of their awareness of death and time.”
