There’s two directors at my org that are so “AI is the future, AI will replace everyone.” He took a pdf of my power bi report dumped it into AI and generated an “exec summary” and said “and I did this in 20 minutes - this is the future”. Even my boss was like - yeah it’s really impressive.

I’ve been fucking fuming all day and then I actually read the content and it’s worse than garbage - it’s wrong.

Here’s some gems :

X is 219% - the inverse of 45% (no it’s not)
228 is the “run rate” of 1616x14% (no fucking clue what a run rate is and wrong)
Risk is role, tenure, job, and unit specific (no shit)
Redeploy before overtime (that means nothing)
We’re alternating between thin baseline capacity and reactive labor deployment. (That means nothing)

I get that the point of rising is a 3 day long sales conference- but it is difficult to find sessions that don’t involve AI, uses tokens, or is a bolt on/purchase.

I use AI, I like AI, but it doesn’t solve every problem. I wanna see non-AI solutions to problems customers are facing.

My daughters are 3 years and 1 month apart but the oldest was born in August and the youngest in September. The school cut off in our area is August 30th - so they will be 4 years apart in school. I’m considering putting in a request to have my youngest start kindergarten early (she’d have to test in). My oldest will already be the youngest in her class. So my youngest would either be the oldest or the youngest.

I’m an August birthday myself and being the youngest sucked. But my husband thinks being around older kids is a good thing. It would be nice for them to be closer in grades if my youngest started early. What would you do?

I’d like to make the update to PowerPoint template in our company PPT template - is there anyway to do that? I’m thinking the closest I could get is like data in a PPT but I don’t think the end user could display filtered data.

Any solutions? We are not using fabric yet.

Anyone in healthcare or another regulated industry - we’re really struggling to reporting on / keeping employee licenses compliant for their jobs.

We currently use workday and it just can’t handle the complexity we need. Some need a license within 30 days of hire but some need as of hire date. some can have a license in any sub specialty but some need a specific sub specialty

Man I love real pizza - I’ve got a pizza steel and can make decent pizzas in the oven but I really like the look of a pizza oven. BUT I hate the idea of a huge item I only use every so often and I’m worried the set up of getting the pizza oven out/set up will dissuade me from make pizzas.

Do they really do that much of a better job than the oven?

Anyone know of a way to make it so the secondary position pay rate has comp rules based on the primary position pay rate?

We have a few training roles that get an extra dollar and hour and then all the other secondaries are in different departments and should always match the primary positions pay rate.

A tree fell on our house in a snow storm back in December. We’ve been in and air bnb since, the house is unlivable. The city says we have to make upgrades during the fix to bring the house up to code (house built in the 70s). Insurance is now saying it’s not covered because of the upgrades needed and won’t pay anything. What can/should I do? Considering getting a lawyer but don’t even know where to start. Location: AZ

In recovery, haven’t binged in about 4 months. I have a sick infant, sick toddler, trying to work from home, husband had to go into the office so I’m by myself. Neither will nap and I’m fucking fed up. I’ve already had lunch and I’m not hungry but fuck I feel like I need to eat my stress right fucking now. New to TMDL, it’s fucking fantastic. How do I sort my measures in there? I move them all around manually but when I pull down the table again they all reset?
