Today in the Midwest part of the states it's rainy and dreary so I planned my outfit around my boots. I quickly discovered that I don't have a lot of options for this temperature... I have hot weather stuff and cold weather stuff but not so much of the in between stuff. So I threw this together. Just a basic skirt, tank top, tied button down and a headband. Not even worth posting honestly.

Except .....

My hair. Do you see what I have to deal with? It looks like a tiny man should be surfing across it.

This is every day for me. Usually I pin it down but this bit escaped. If I actually took time to style my hair then I could make these finger waves work FOR me, not against me. But I never do. Cause I'm lazy...

Anyway...

Does anyone else struggle on the in between weather days? Any tips and tricks to make your clothes work in different seasons?

This was taken at my high school. I would say 1994-95. I would have been 14ish. I clearly remember seeing a dress similar to this (in a Delia's catalog probably!) and begging my mom to make me one because I could never afford to buy anything from those catalogs. I picked this fabric, and just a couple of days later I was wearing it to school. I'm almost 100% sure it didn't even have a liner in it, and it didn't seem so short back then lol.

This was before I chopped my hair off in a defiant '90s angst girl act of rebellion! I will share those pics someday if anyone is interested. 💜💜💜

Back to the neon coral cactus and cows....I paired it with this black skirt.... Turns out it's hard finding a color that looks good with neon coral. Brown was the best option trust me!
