For those with a Tern folding bike, did you buy the specific multi-tool? ,.

Basically asking the subject line. I bought a tern (Link d7) a few months back, and didnt get to really use it until recently.

Thinking about potential issues etc, so wanted to check if others used standard alley keys etc, or just bought the Tern specific alley keys, as they are quite expensive, and not sure if i would need it anyway with an issue

(Description of tool - "The Tern Tool ensures you stay on your bike, and don’t get stuck roadside. Specially designed for Tern bikes, the multi-tool boasts 19 must-have tools, including a 15mm wrench for tightening axle nuts and pedals and a 6mm wrench for adjusting Tern joint levers.")

.,thanks

I am not usually into technology but for my trip to Shenzhen / Guanghzhou, some things are alluring me to weave into the trip, seeking more ideas

,..I think my list is like a youtubers list and its actually mostly Shenzhen, so seeking what else others may suggest

I am keen to try some or all of the following for now, but asking for other ideas:

- Driverless bus

- Driverless taxi (although i might not get a physical sim, so think that blocks me)

- the drone food delivery

- Shenzhen science and technology museum

- Visit Robot s6 store

- see the buildings light show at night

thank you

Will need Very early morning taxis / Didis in Yangshou / Guilin - I have had challenges before, hence asking

- I will be visiting Yangshuo but then taking a very early flight (7am) from Guilin airport. Will it be easy enough to order a Didi taxi for say 3am to the aiport? and say my driver cancels, will there be others available, i am just wary of the risk (have had a very bad experience with this elsewhere hence my ask)

Also, I rather not stay in Guilin for the sake of moving for one night, but i think i might need to be as close as possible, so do others recommend moving to Guilin the night before, rather than take a taxi at say 2am instead from Yangshou?

thank you

-- Are there Jjimjilbang (korean scrub place) or equivalent in Shenzhen, visiting in October, and want to find one thats tourist friendly

- Basically the subject line. More details though:

I have had a Korean scrub and massage in Seoul, and Honolulu, and Los Angeles, but struggle to find it elsewhere. Really love what it does, if done well.

As a Brit (South Asian), keen to visit it in Shenzhen when i come, as thats going to be where i fly in and out of.

Want to find a decent place that will offer this service, also for security etc (lockers), and just someplace thats central in Shenzhen

Is this a thing also offered in Shenzhen, i feel i have seen reference to it, but not sure

thank you

Confused by my itinerary, seeking help as first time planning to visit (south) China

I have travelled a fair amount, some solo and some with my wife, but i tend to like simpler things now. So i am getting confused by what to put in my trip to South China.

I land in HK but i am ferried over into shenzhen, with a UK visa free entry, I am staying between 15th October to 2nd November, and my basic trip looks like:

  • Shenzhen - some light touring, and some trips, some food, and few tech things that have caught my eye (expect to stay at least 4-5 nights here after landing, given the below day trips)
  • HK - was thinking 2 day trips, but thinking just one now
  • Macau - Similarly a day trip, and i do want to visit a casino
  • Finish few days in Sanya (this is what initially drove me to book, appreciate its not everyones thing)

I have a spread of time in the middle, and not sure what to do. I kept thinking both Guanghzhou and Yangshuo, but from YangShuo getting to Sanya is a bit more painful, but it feels a nice different place to visit - i like the nature, the scenery, may want to bike around, and just give into the tourism bit.

I am also allured by Guangzhou, but maybe just visiting Shunde, or Guangdong Zengcheng She Ethnic Folk Culture Tourism Area. I am mindful of not getting too pulled into Guanghzhou given the canton fair also.

But maybe i am being silly and missing out on something else, as i also have curiosity for getting a local feel for a place, and for maybe seeing music, i am also curious about the other ethnic groups and things related to that (not so much the architecture, more the customs and ways of living)

anyway, hope that offers something that makes sense for a reply.

I will say, i think this wont be my last trip, i really feel a desire to visit other parts later. Having loved Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and most of SE Asia.

.With the 30 day UK visa, i will be doing 3-4 day trips from Shenzhen and Guanghzhou to HK and Macau, just wary if there is anything to be aware of

- I am landing in Shenzhen in October, and i have a UK passport, so will get the 30 day visa on landing. I am intending to do a few day trips from Shenzhen into HK and Guanghzhou into Macau (probably 2 to HK and 1 to Macau, and with gaps in between). I am staying on the mainland, mostly due to cost and not wanting to keep changing hotels. I also dont mind the travelling albeit not a fan of Queuing.

I have done a bit of reading on it and with a 30 day visa, i can go back and forth and it resets each time i come back and forth, however sometimes the guidance is confusing around needing to inform the hotel on return, the border checkpoint taking time, or border guards maybe finding it weird (albeit i think back and forth isnt abnormal), and i am also Indian descent so was told that was confusing maybe someone.

Basically i think this is a simple thing, but just taking a shot here for thoughts

thank you,.

- My last "local" friend is moving to live circa 500 miles away, which is a trend of people leaving and me being stuck, but at this stage at trying to heal, i dont know me at all i have come to learn, so i dont want to meet others - or are parts of me just tired / fed up

--When i was in my late teens, and after i got my myself away from "home", i wasnt aware at all of what i was holding inside myself (i am 44 now), didnt know what i was blocking. My "personality" was also a layer upon layer of masks, and i also now realise i was very numb to life and unless drunk , i was on autopilot to the extreme.

that all said, i fitted in, i played a part, people did like me, and easily had a lot of people around until i dropped into more shutdown / freeze at the age of 28 as the facade of a family came crashing down, and i fully disconnected, as my family "truths" were too much to hide to my system....

since then, its been hard, very hard, and i have often just lost people because i kept cancelling, but i had a few friends still who i would meet, but over time they have left this city, and i have tried to become connected with other people with cptsd as i have tried to heal, but it doesnt seem to last and we trigger one another

so now having kinda come to realisations as finding a therapy that actually works for me (somatic and parts/IFS work), i never have had a sense of self, and never had safety, soo many addictions and some still, that have robbed me, that i kinda cant be bothered with meeting folks, as i really dont know me, and never have

i have limited time and energy and, just too much has come to light and happened

so i am confused, and sharing, and seeing how this resonates

thanks for reading
