I have previously ranted about the enshittification of this gorgeous line and Danessa really had to prove me right.

We went from all multichrome (4) to mostly multichrome but all shimmer (5) to a few multichromes all shimmer (6) to introducing mattes and further cutting expensive multichromes (7). For the same price of course.

Now the color is mostly gone too. This is neutral with a few fun accent colors. Three shades (Molten magma, indigo glow, sparkling glaciers) are NOT neutrals.

ETA- the price has increased from $128 for previous palettes to $135 for this one.

And to be clear, my main issue is that the most expensive pigments are the multichromes - regardless of whether I personally don't like the colors, she's cut the expensive to make shades to 3 (from 10 in previous palettes!) and replaced them with cheaper stuff for more than the same price that was only justified by the amount of multichromes. This is a huge hidden price hike.

I recently asked if there's two sizes of DE blades because my razor couldn't fit the Wilkinson ones.

Turns out Second Nature thinks they're smarter than the rest of us so they made the little pins in their razor a tiny bit wider apart. So, it'll look like it will fit everything, it does not say on the site that it doesn't, but it will only fit their own.

I went in my Dads tool shed and found this dremel thingy, filed the top bit of paint off so I could paint with a sharpie on the silver metal underneath, and stenciled the shape of the Wilkinson blade cutouts onto it. Out came this fish shape that I then filed out of the pins (don't judge me on the nicks I have 0 experience). Then I polished it to the best of my abilities and spray painted it with Warhammer figurine paint that would adhere to metal. It's aluminum so it won't be a problem to leave it exposed but I preferred black so I can't see all the fuckups haha.

Its fully dry and now lets me load the Wilkinson with no issues. Hopefully also every other DE blade.

Really happy that this worked out and posting to thank the ones of you suggesting this!! 🥹 Also, may this post serve as a warning to not buy from that brand. This was a ridiculous side quest!

ETA - as some of you point out the alignment looks shit, and it's really not visible here - the pin is now wider on the base than it's tip so blade has no wiggle room and sits parallel to the edge of the head when screwed together, but it DOES have wiggle room sitting just on top of the pins where they are thinner and therefore isn't perfectly aligned in the pic. The filing tip was thinner at the tip so when you drill down, you'd take away more at the top of the pin. As for whether this is the smartest or dumbest thing I've done this week, stay tuned...

Received this today from someone who did not know for sure what model they had - they thought it was a Mühle Rytmo but it isn't, the handle is different. It does include the box, box code, and is completely unused with manual and a foil on the inside of the head and I think off Google Images it's a Liscio they no longer have on the website?

It won't fit as neatly into my Rytmo holder, but I'm still happy I called and bought it. Long story down below so this post doesn't expand across the universe when you click on it..

1460 Pascal Flame I received in the mail today. Discontinued so they were expensive BNIB!

Every time I talk myself out of a collectors edition pair of Docs, or a new release like last Fall when these came out, I tell myself they aren't that pretty IRL as online and I wouldn't actually love them and THEN I go see Uriah Heep live and Davey Rimmer is wearing the EXACT same ones and unfortunately they are gorgeous and hard to miss at eye level waved in your face for two hours and then I'm on ebay before I'm on the parking lot/in the bus 😂

Consider me fashion influenced a third time (after Koi and Day of the Dead, which I had bought on ebay the WEEK before that show actually) by a man old enough to be my Dad ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'd rather be a weirdo on here about it than on Instagram where someone might tag him, sorry about that 😂

Took I think two years now? and the majority of the brown came off when I wore them through an European heatwave to several metal shows. Queuing for hours sitting on concrete in blazing sun made it rub off a lot.

I do love them now, kinda wish the rainbow was a deeper colour and a bit more vibrant but they're beautiful and the only remotely subtle pair for Pride DM ever done to my knowledge. The other ones always SCREAM rainbow.

Last Pic how they were supposed to look like new, they really were much more muted than that irl.

I thought one of these may be similar to the LE but nope its smack in the middle between the two! Mc Menamy was a lot more purple in my memory too. Oh well, perhaps it's still useful?
