Trying to stay cool during this heat wave

I have this once a week, usually Monday to start the week on a healthy note

I was attempting to install a new vanity light in my bathroom. When I removed the light I saw this. It was new construction so this was obviously incorrect. What is the best was to remove and install a round junction box? The lounging holes on the new light are horizontal.

I cleared out leaves, vines and fallen branches in the wooded area behind my house. It’s full shade 100% of the day from tall mature trees. I’d like to see if grass will take in this area.

I have to do some leveling with fill dirt and plan to add 3” of top soil. What seed should I try? My existing lawn is tall fescue.

Has anyone tried the Rustoleum EpoxyGuard garage floor paint? It’s on sale this week for $115, regular priced $170. I did not know it contains the concrete etch along with the 2 part epoxy, and flakes.

Saw this at the pet store, does anyone use pine bedding? I’ve used paper bedding since I found our bun, he’s fine with it but figured something natural might be better.

They were popping up in my lawn and this week every crack and crevice in my driveway.

I had to get out the car and snap a photo. I stopped short of trying to give advice to the adjacent restaurant owner.

I’m in a golf course community that’s going through some ownership issues. The lanes have not been maintained at all, it became so unsightly our HOA paid to have them mowed.

If I wanted to bring some life to the hole behind my home, where do I start? Mow does close or kill it completely? I believe bentgrass is best for putting greens, what about fairways and the tee?

The brickmold on my exterior windows have severe wood rot. Should I remove and replace the entire piece? Or just use a multitool to cut out the damage and replace?

Several windows have this issue, I’m curious if this is superficial (and expected with exterior wood trim) or should I investigate water proofing issues?

And how do I get rid of it? I help my neighbor, who is a first time homeowner with his lawncare. It’s two fold because his weeds won’t grow into my yard. I’ve got all the basic lawn tools and several bags of fertilizer including herbicides.

Does anyone know the head bolt pattern and torque for this Briggs? It’s from a Toro Recycler 22”. There are 3 longer bolts with washers.
