I just listened to this and it is really a nice song by the band I was unaware of,At least till I listened to this .
I can gather the more details about the artist,songs from the internet but it is more fun to read it from the pens of the fans who have lived and experienced that era.
I am 56yrs old male and started learning tabla when I was 45 yrs old. I learned it for 7 yrs. I passed 5 exams conducted by Gandharva Mahavidyalaya with distinction. So I consider myself as a mid tier tabla player amongst the amateurs.
I learned it online from the scratch. I spend 1 hr daily for Riyaz. But I am still unhappy about the speed and clarity. I was not told how to Riyaz correctly.
After spending few years I came to know that It should be done at a slow tempo. But I am not yet clear about at how much speed I should start , for how much time should I continue with the same speed? How much and when to increase the speed etc. can anyone shed the light on the correct method of the Riyaz?
I tried to listen to Emerson Lake Palmer . No doubt about their brilliance. But I couldn’t engage myself into their music. I found it to be too cerebral. What should I do in order to understand their music better?
After listening to her stunning “Stairway to heaven” I was haunted by Ms. Wilson’s robust, confident and yet melodic voice .

I am new to Rock Music, started listening to it 2 years ago. I heard a lot about the band Rolling Stones and their album ‘Exile On Main Street’. So I listened to it with high expectations.
And I felt disappointed. I found nothing special about it. It was a sort of mundane, predictable 70-80’s Rock for me. I will say, I didn’t understand it instead of saying it mediocre.
\*\*Because It is possible that at the time of the release the album had new ideas,music. Now over the time that newness,brilliance is absorbed by the next generation and that new thought becomes a part of the mainstream narrative. So a new listener going backwards finds nothing new in it.\*\*
What was the novelty, bright idea when the album was released?
