here’s last year’s trophies, I’ve been making them every year and as I’m wrapping up making them for the last time today I got a little emotional. It sort of turned into a Marriott carpet costume contest and the other cults didn’t get as much attention. So if you have one of these trophies I made, congrats. Adding a button to the dashboard where you need to actively use the seatbelt every time just like you gotta do in rl would be perfect. Especially since in 1996 people were still pretty resistant to putting them on. Maybe on some of the nicer cars the seatbelt chime goes off as a reminder? I dunno.

Wish I knew how to make mods, otherwise I’d crank this one out. It would be fun.

Partner let their battery sit uncharged for months. Almost tossed it out.

I made this sometime around 2016. It was CNC milled from Baltic birch and the bearings are Koyo bearings I got for pennies from a discount store. It’s quite hard to use and weighs 17.8lbs

It’s solid bronze I think. It had such a heft that it left dents in the knocker plate. I just happened to have a standard scale banana with me.

We’re pretty new at using this machine, we got it last year but only really started using it this week.

What you are seeing is an X and Y axis view of the ends of the fiber being aligned automatically, brought close then using two electrodes the glass is heated and brought together.
