Yes, I did drop my helmet. And yes, I am bored at work and this is why I’m posting this.
Anyway, I got a bit of flack for buying a mat helmet, but imo it’s holding up pretty well after almost three months of daily use. There’s a few scratches, but it’s barely noticeable.
Also this helmet is very mid and should be $500 not seven hundred. I’m going to be upgrading to a Shoei next season.
I have a training class Saturday and the only vehicle I have available to me is my motorcycle. 2009 Yamaha FZ6 for those who are curious. The class was rescheduled due to the range catching on fire (not my fault) and I really do t want to have to reschedule again.
My main line of thought would be a backpack big enough to fit an AR that’s broken down to an upper and lower. I do have a case thst has back pack straps, but I’d rather not use it since it would become a wind sail.
Edit: I’ll also need to bring 200 rounds of ammo (loose per class rules) extra mags and my ppe
I think hunting rifles will still be found in 16 inches, but I think the 16 inch AR will be a thing in the past and we’ll mainly see 14.5s.
2016 lancer SEL 4x4. 160,000 miles. Everything is tight, cv axles are in good shape, I’m really at a loss here.
2009 Yamaha fz6 with just under 6000 miles on her.
For the next month I have to drive an hour to work one way. There’s barely any bends in the road, three roundabouts, and that’s it. I’m not a fan of going fast in a straight line so if anyone has any recommendations how to not make my commute boring I’d appreciate it.

I’m in PA for work and I have an itch to shoot. I went to 717 Armory because when I googled indoor ranges it suggested that place, but when I went there I was told they didn’t have a range.
Also looking to rent since all my stuff is in Ohio.
I shoot with an frt a lot. At the outdoor range I go to it’s not too bad, but I tend to get gassed out if I mag dump at an indoor range (yes I am that guy) the two indoor ranges I go to I always have to take a step back and let my booth clear out before I continue shooting because I end up coughing it gets so gassy. I know once I get a can it will only get worse and with being left handed, the gas ports on the bolt are right next to my face.
The only thing I see that advertises it will filter lead is the score mask, but I’d rather not spend $300 if I don’t have to. The second mask google keeps showing when I look up lead mask, but the description says nothing about filtering lead, or even a filter rating. According to google activated carbon can absorb lead, but not every activated carbon filt can, so I’m a bit confused on that.
If I have to buy the ops core I will, but if there’s a better option for the average civilian that’s not $300 I’d really like to know .
For the longest time I mainly used YouTube only for training, and while I was able to separate the good from the bad, the one thing I could never do is shoot a pistol well. I'm a low and right shooter (I'm a lefty) and over the thousands of rounds I shot and the dozens of guns, I was never able to fix it on my own.
So, Last weekend I took the jump and went to a defensive pistol level 1 class. Turns out I was doing everything correctly, except I wasn't engaging my pinky. Suddenly when I made an effort to grip the gun with my pinky, my shots were much better. Still not a tight grouping, but I wasn't low and right anymore.
Today I took the level two class which went over drawling from a holster. I knew 100% of the curriculum, but it was good confirmation that I knew my stuff, and I had fun. I think my next class will be a rifle class. I'm much better with a rifle than I am with pistols, but like with the other classes it will be good to get formal training.
I think YouTube is a great place to learn and if you can separate the good from the bullshit, but having the certified instructor there to correct any training scars is a great tool.
I’m looking to get a set of engine guards but the only thing I can find is for the 04 to 06. I have an 09 and as far as I’m aware the engines stayed the same for both gens.
Look, I know you don’t go to Amazon for gear, but I have a class next Sunday and my battle belt is MIA. I’m also left handed so finding a holster local to me is not going to happen, I’ve tried.
Ideally I’d like one that is compatible with a tlr1 and a red dot. A part if me just want to buy another Safariland, but id hate to buy into another battle belt setup if my old one turns up.
I made a post on a different sub about getting my first appointment with a different artist cancelled for religious reasons. Something she didn’t tell me she was uncomfortable with for weeks but that’s not what this is about.
Anyway, the tattoo came out flawless. Some of the red does look thin but that’s just because of the angle of the picture.
I love how it turned out and I’m already planning my next tattoo from D.
I recently picked up a used Squire telecaster. It plays great and for bedroom play is perfect, but the stock tuners suck. I picked up a set of Guyker locking tuners off Amazon. (Yes I know Amazon sucks but I’m not about to drop 50% of the price of this tele on tuners) they worked well on another guitar I own. The problem is they have two bars while the stock tuners have one. I went to my local GC and even the fender tuners had two bars. Both the vintage and the locking fender tuners are the same way.
I’m not opposed to drilling a few holes if I have to, but I’d rather not because if one is crooked it will drive me crazy. So if anyone has any recommendations for tuners that will work please let me know.
All I can find is a docter plate or a dove tail for a non optics ready.
I do have a steel plate coming in next week. This is just for shits and giggles to see how long it can last.
First ported gun and I see the hype. I shot this next to my Glock 45 and reacquiring a sight picture is so much easier with this. Put about 200rds down range with it and it’s a blast My one gripe is you have to buy an optics plate separately 😑
I’m gong to 3d print one while I wait for the steel plate to come in. Place your bets on how long it will last lol
Side note: to the goth guy who was worried about going to a gun show I threw on a bit of eyeliner and some gear when I hit the range. Nobody said anything. In fact most guys were jealous I had an FRT in my AR and more than one person asked to shoot it lol.

I got a tool kit off Amazon. (Yes I know most of Amazon tools are junk, but I don’t plan on turning this into a business.) there’s is smoke other problems with it, but I plan on redoing it and making a second one.
Eventually I want to work my way up into making other gothic gear, but for now I’m going to stick to bracelets. Maybe a collar if I’m feeling brave lol.
I installed the snaps backwards 😭 I know no one will notice at a goth night, but it bugs me so much lol.
I also didn’t cut it straight and the spacing on some of the spikes is off at the end. Again, I’m sure nobody will notice.
But, I made it and I’m sure I’ll get better over time.
Heading to HF when they open and I’m debating on which wrenches I want for the 35% off sale. Stuck between the two. The flex heads come with two more wrenches, but the reversible might come in handy. I don’t really work on a ton of stuff, mainly my motorcycle (2009 FZ6) and car (2016 Lancer) when maintenance is needed. I think I work on my mom’s car (04 Trailblazer) more than my own stuff lol.
Side note, I’m also picking up a set for SAE wrenches because my chud family members always gives me grief about not having standard tools. I did buy a set of short and long SAE sockets and I can count on my hand the number of times I used them lol. Waste of space in my box if you ask me, but I’m tired of hearing, “what do you mean you don’t have a 16/32!” Or whatever archaic unit of measurement they use. Seriously I don’t plan on buying any American junk, and even if I did it would be something made after 1995 and before 2005, so it would have metric fasteners anyway.
