HR Professionals in Kuwait need your help building a good resume that would be competitive in Kuwait

I want to apply for work in HR Entry level but I wanted to know from the perspective of an HR worker in kuwait if I’m employable for an such a job and also what skills, certifications do you recommend I take and what do you think is the highest salary I could ask for

So I’m an expat, just graduated with a BBA in Management with a 3.75 GPA
I have past working experience for 1.5 years as a receptionist secretary and will work for 4-5 months as a E-commerce Administrator / Online Store Coordinator

I plan on getting SHRM Certification hopefully I pass it
Learning about Kuwait Labor Law
I’m bilingual in both Arabic and English
I plan on learning to use HRIS and HRMS Platforms
I know how to use Microsoft Excel
In my old job I had some financial tasks like financial reports so I have a bit of experience in that

I really want my cv to be competitive and land entry level in HR so I want to know what else I can do which specifically targets the needs of companies in Kuwait and what would they look for?
I was thinking of getting a payroll certificate but I’m not sure what companies in Kuwait would want that stands out so I want to know that first before learning new skills and getting a certificate
I also don’t really know what is the range of salaries for an expat in such entry level job and I don’t want to lowballed

I hope mods don’t delete this post because I’m not asking about getting a job and where to apply I’m asking about skills or certificates to get that are important in Kuwait

what did you that helped you in having your duas answered and having more sabr?

I don’t even know what to title this post because I

  1. Really need my prayers to be answered because I have been stuck in a loop where nothing good is happening/changing for a year
  2. Wanting sabr because at the same time I know Allah knows best when every dua should be answered

But when its been a year of me not living my life, not going out much, not having fun, not having the money for needs and only having more problems it’s very tiring

Little context, I have been unemployed since September last year, and finding a job where I live is genuinely so hard because its a small country
My family is having constant problems aside from the financial ones and its puts me in constant monitoring of my surroundings and anxious
and the financial ones are also just a lot alone because I have uni fees and other stuff
then there is also issues with my friendships and myself

In all honesty most of my life I have been distant from Islam, mostly because my parents are too and never really taught me about it and I only started learning about it this past year

I know everything happens for a reason, me not working led to me learning about islam more, reading Quran regularly, doing Dhikr and not leaving my salah
I was doing Istighfar, praying (but not regularly) and reading a bit of Quran after I stopped working last year up till Ramadan this year
Ramadan was really a turning point for me because I set a goal to read the Quran from start to finish, pray all fard prayers, taraweeh, witr, qiyam al layl
I also did a lot of dhikr

After Ramadan, I really became very close to Allah and I started needing to do dhikr when I feel upset or bothered. I would feel better after doing it

And it’s been 6 months of me making constant dua with nothing getting better and I’m very drained and don’t want another 6 months of this
I feel like I’m not living my life and I can’t just “live my life” because I need a job and my family issues are damaging my mental health so much

I really wish to know what I could be doing wrong and what I can do for my dua to be accepted in the near future..I don’t know if its okay to even think this but Im tired of waiting really and I don’t want to wait 2-3 years for things to get better because I’m already having very bad thoughts I don’t think I can wait more
I’m praying every prayer, reading the quran regularly, doing dhikr, and dua every time I pray
I want to know what else I can do because I’m really tired

Getting tired early and never get into deep sleep

I’m 20 but from a young age Ive always had trouble with falling asleep and my sleep pattern getting ruined
so I recently was able to fix it and sleep earlier and wake up in the morning but by 7/8pm i would get so tired
for example yesterday I slept around 9/10PM and woke up around 7:30am
so this is almost 10 hours but I get really sleepy by 8PM and Idk how to fix this without drinking caffeine because I don’t want to get used to drinking it and dont even like it
another thing is, I genuinely never get deep sleep every night when I sleep I wake up inbetween at least 4 times, Im never able to get deep sleep or just not wake up in between
I would really like some advice im not sure what to do
my quality of sleep has been a struggle for so long because I can never get enough sleep and when I do I get tired early even though when I don’t get enough sleep im able to pass by the day easily

getting a nap inbetween the day isn’t good with me because if I try to nap for an hour I would sleep more ignoring the alarm and instead of an hour it can become 3

Who else loves kiraz mevsimi

Im new to this subreddit and I looked up kiraz mevsimi and no one mentioned it…I also looked up the imbd rating I was surprised by how low it is, its at 5.7 😭
I was so surprised, it may have some stereotypical plots like memory loss, car accidents and such but it’s still such a fun drama
its actually my favorite turkish series and also my favorite romance series in general
I LITERALLY rewatch it every year once sometimes twice
Its such a comfort show for me and I always loved the relationship between Oyku and Ayaz, they clearly had crazy chemistry since they got married in real life but in general I loved their relationship in the show its one of the few relationships in a drama where I felt the characters really did love each other and aren’t just acting

I have watched kdrama, arab series, turkish series and few american shows and the relationship between oyku and ayaz remains my favorite
also the show is fun and can be lighthearted when seyma isnt doing anything 😭 my biggest op at the start of the show fr

[N/A] SHRM CP student eligibility

Anyone was eligible for SHRM-CP Exam and student discount with a non HR Related Degree?

I have been contacting their customer service for the past week about having technical issues and also about eligibility as student majoring in Management and not HR

Their customer service replied to me about the technical issues but didn't answer the question about my major and their next two days are off so I'm still waiting for a reply but I need an answer sooner

I really don't have much time because I want to pay for the exam before the early bird discount before the end of the month I also want to know if I'm eligible so I can start preparing for the exam, and if I'm not eligible I need to look for another certification I could get and waiting for the customer service to reply is going to take so much time

so if anyone applied before with a BBA in Management or another degree irrelevant to HR and had no HR experience please let me know

New to coursera - Im looking at getting a professional certificate but I have some questions

I’m looking into getting a professional certificate and found coursera
Problems is the website doesn’t have enough information about fees for the certificate
So I’m looking into the “HRCI Human Resource Associate Professional Certificate”but the website doesn’t not include anything about the fees for the certification so I want to know how to find the full information for the program
I also want to do a “Payroll professional certificate”but I also can’t find the fees for the program/certificate so I’m not sure if I’m using the website wrong or I misunderstood the way to enroll

I also want to know if anyone has tried coursera for a professional certification if it was worth it or not

also can I pay for the certificate/program only or do I have to pay for for coursera plus

I’m also unemployed and my parents would be paying but if there could be a discount or financial aid that would be helpful but I’m not sure of the requirements and how to do it

Want to start looking for a job again, specifically in Entry Level HR- give me your tips and advice

I have bee unemployed since September last year and I wasn't able to look for a job after because it was my last year of university and I could only work again now
Im also an expat, I posted on other subreddits about this but I wanted to get advice that is more directed to the kuwait workforce

Anyways, I want to start applying for jobs and I want to land a really good one, though I know the job market is horrible worldwide I'm hoping to land a really good job

I just finished my Bachelors Degree in Business Administration majoring in Management with a GPA of 3.75 I worked as a receptionist and secretary in a poly clinic for 1.4 years

I want to land an entry level job in HR since it's the department I want to work in in the future.

First off I was able collect and make a list of 112 major companies/organizations I want to apply to in Kuwait.

I plan on adding many people to my Linkedin profile so I can connect with HR/ Recruiters in Kuwait who may post job vacancies

I was told to use a template that was called Andy something for my CV but I wanted more options

Sot if there are any other recommendations that would be helpful so I have more options to look at

I also plan on getting a professional certificate maybe SHRM-CP and learning about HRMS and HR processes

I really want to land a good job I don't want to settle for any job since the job I land I will transfer my visa to and be stuck there for a year so I can't settle for less than I want which is a entry level HR Jobs with a good salary and benefits

To those working in HR, please advice me on how to get into entry level jobs and any other advice related to HR would be helpful

I also want advice regarding my CV since I will first apply to the major companies ( list of 112 companies) and if it doesn't work out then I will look at smaller ones but I realllyy so bady want a job at one of the companies that I have on the list but they're a bit big so it will be really competitive.

Also I was told in another subreddit to message recruiters in Linkedin but from what I know this isn’t really a thing to message recruiters in linkedin in Kuwait, if it is let me
Any advice would be helpful really I don’t know how HR Entry level industries seem in Kuwait but I really want to enter it and know what I’m doing
I also didn’t work in Corporate before only a clinic so I would like advice about working in corporate jobs in Kuwait

Is it bad to drink green tea regularly if I want to gain weight

I’m underweight and trying to build muscle and gain weight and I saw that green tea maintains weight or helps lose weight
and I don’t want to drink it for that
I drink it for my skin since I tend to break out a lot and it helps me with that and evening my skin tone
im not sure if drinking it regularly while trying to gain muscle and weight is okay or if it will reduce my progress

am i the only one who doesn’t understand the matcha craze thats happening

i tried matcha like 2 times and both times i didn’t like, i didnt hate it but I just found it so boringgg
its obviously trending everywhere in the world rn
But speaking of Kuwait I follow bloggers and influencers go every morning to get matcha…and I find it surprising because it really tastes so plain like if I see an influencer go every day for like a spanish latte or any coffee I could understand it could have a sweet taste but then matcha tasted like milk to me so im confused

Maybe I didn’t try a good matcha so if you like matcha and there is a good place to get it from give me some recommendation so I can give it another try
I want to know how many ppl actually like it or if its just an influencer/blogger thing😭

SHRM-CP Exam application and student discount [N/A]

I want to apply for the SHRM-CP exam I looked through their website and online but I couldn’t find good information on how to apply for student discount
I thought of asking my uni for a letter of proof stating that I’m student and my major but I’m not sure if its not or if something else is needed

My bachelors degree is in Business Administration majoring in Management

So I wanted to ask if anyone took this exam and applied for the student discount, what did they provide and what was needed of them
Thank you
