All Jagger wanted was somewhere to hide from the rain

She sat in an autorickshaw, probably thinking she'd found a little shelter from the world. Instead, she was poisoned, abused, and beaten until her leg broke.

Read that again.

A little cat who couldn't even understand why she was all soaked up with water and cold, suddenly had to face the cruelty of world..

I keep thinking about how scared she must have been. How much pain she must have been in. And how, despite everything that was done to her, she still deserves to be loved..

I found her just in time. But I can't protect her forever on my own.

Jagger needs a home. Not just somewhere to sleep, but a HOME.

Somewhere she can curl up without being scared. Somewhere she can sleep peacefully, knowing nobody is going to hurt her. Somewhere she can finally be someone's baby.

I don't want her life to be one long story of the horrible things humans have done to her. I want her story to have a happy ending, too.

I want someone to look at her and see a little soul who deserves the world. Someone who will love her on the days she's cuddly and the days she's scared. Someone who will never make her feel like she has to fight for her life again.

Please, please help me with wet food for these babies..

I’m honestly running out of food for them. I have enough wet food to last maybe a week at best, and after that I genuinely don’t know what I’m going to do. I also cover their vet bills and sterilizations, which leaves me with very little to put towards wet food.

They’re still tiny babies and they can’t properly eat dry food yet. I’ve tried, but they either struggle with it or simply won’t eat it and I can’t just leave them hungry and hope they figure it out :(

I’m already trying to manage food for so many cats and right now I’m really stretched thin financially.

I hate having to keep asking but these little ones obviously don’t understand that I’m running out. They just know they’re hungry and they want their food :(

If anyone can spare even one can/pouch of kitten wet food, it would genuinely help. You don’t have to donate like 10 cans even 1 or 2 cans help and the cats need 1 bag of kibbles too. I've added the cheapest possible kibble available..

Please help me keep their little tummies full until they’re old enough to properly eat kibble..

When Chimney was diagnosed with ckd, I was incredibly worried about how I was going to manage everything she needed... I could manage the vet but renal food is expensive and when you're caring for a community cat even the smallest expense can quickly become overwhelming

I'm not gonna but I'm on the verge of giving up. I've been looking for a good home for Jagger but it's turning out to be almost impossible... Idk what I'm doing wrong? Are Indie cats even adopted? Meet precious Jagger, she's barely a year old but has already went through so much. She was poisoned and abused by an auto driver, wanna know why? Because she used to go inside his auto to hide from heavy rain. That's it. That was her crime.

He hit her so much that her front leg broke, poisoned her and left her to die. A fellow feeder saw her and called me to rescue her. I didn't have any hopes ngl. I didn't think she'd survive. But she did. After months of pain and hurt she's again healthy and happy. She's at a foster right now and if no one comes forward I'll have to leave her back to the place where I used to feed her because I can't afford to keep her in a foster forever..

So I'm asking all the animal lovers of Mumbai. To come forward and adopt Jagger. You know her story, now let's get to know about her. She's a spicy babe and lovesssss to play hide and seek, she'll chase you, WILL BUG YOU FOR FOOD BECAUSE SHE'S BHUKKAD but most of all. She's a tiny baby who needs her family. She's accustomed to indoor life now, she's litter trained, healthy, sterilized and vaccinated.

Remember Chimney? The community cat who has chronic kidney disease, she's about to run out of her renal food in maybe next 10 days.. We'll need 3 bags which will last her for next 3 months.. She's been going every day to vet for 2 months and alternate days for 1 month. I can cover her vet cost but food + vaccination will take a toll on my other rescues.. I'm attaching her recent blood test and I really really hope we can get her the vaccine and her dry food.

Now update on mixie.. It's not looking good for her. Her anemia is still extremely poor and she's having bouts of bloody diarrhea. I need a med that could possibly stop it.. But then again I can't afford it along with the veterinary cost and the vet has recommended to put her on recovery food...

2 rescue cats and both of them dealing with stuff no cat should.

Mixie: Barely 4 months old and was fighting for her life when I found her, she had rectal prolapse and is still severely jaundiced and anemic. I got her surgery done and the result is on the 5th pic but she still needs her meds and hepatic food. I made the decision to foster her till she's fine and then try for her adoption.

Now Verstappen: her story is heartbreaking beacause she was soaking in rain for a month, we tried everything, we made her a shelter, we tried local adoption but nothing worked.

Then she fell sick, so much so her temperature started dropping, I got her to ER 3 times and then to my vet when we discovered that she has high ammonia and acute kidney injury.. She needs to be fostered and needs renal food.

I can't take care of them alone, vet? Yes. But not the foster and food..
