Is there a way to see which users “reacted” messages in the chat

In the that, several people 👍’d ❤️‘d and other reactions to certain messages.

When I tried to click the emoji to hopefully expand and see the names of the individuals who had reacted…

Instead, it added yet another heart- appearing as if I “❤️’d“ it

So it’s just emojis with a number next to it to indicate the amount of people who had that particular reaction

Is there a way to see the names of the users who reacted to what?

Recommendations for cream eyeshadows that stay put?

37f, very hooded eyes (eyelid’s becoming invisible at rest), more texture and dryness around eyes now. Most shadow looks so weird on me now. One time I swept a bit of my contour all over my eye lid and a little above the hood, some mascara, and was very pleased with the look! For reference I use a cream-based contour stick from e.l.f. So now I’m on the hunt for a shadow with the same consistency and so far no luck. They’re either too dull, too sparkly, or don’t stay put. The shades that I like on my skin are deep but warm brown (like my contour shade), and deep rusty-copper with a cool undertone. And absolutely no glitter! Thanks in advance!

Dad, I feel guilty I can’t afford anything for my brothers bday

So far I surprised him with breakfast (eggs, croissant, bacon, fruit and juice)

We are going to see the Odyssey later and go to dinner

Last night I went to our fav local bakery to get him something only to find it it’s permanently closed :(

I may have time before the movie to grab him something or maybe we’ll just dessert at the restaurant

Hes a very lowkey chill guy. He doesn't like fanfare around his birthday . Or so I’ve gathered from previous heads. He’s very introverted and a bit f a reclusive person. He doesn’t really go out, see friends or date

Btw Im late 30s he’s early 40s. We are both estranged from our family due to trauma. (But bc of our trauma we’re probably like developmentally and emotionally a lot younger. That’s just my opinion based on my own therapy, knowledge of trauma, and observation.)

Im unemployed and healing from a pretty intense breakdown / trauma .He knows Im working on getting back on my feet. He’s working, and he lets me live with him. He also very generous, helps me out buying stuff or paying for an Uber if needed.

I wish I had money to buy him something nice but unfortunately I don’t

How can I accept this and just be present with him and have a good day?

PS I can’t wait til I am making money. I would like to repay him for all he’s done for me and get him nice things like a watch, nice clothing , or pay for a trip for us to take

edit: I just realize that I also feel… weird? Idk the emotion. But I realized I feel this intense pressure bc he doesn’t have any one else. Maybe I should give myself a little grace ? It’s kind of hard when your a persons entire support system

Who do you see for non-MS related neurological issues? Hear me out...

While I have a specialist and a MS team, who are on top of all my MS-related stuff, MRI's, on a DMT, routine exams, etc...

I genuinely feel like I have nerve-related issues that are not a direct result of the MS.

For example I believe I have a pinched nerve in my upper traps and some nerve compression in my forearm that is leading to some loss of sensation. And I definitely have something going on with my neck, my PT told me. I think it has to do with how I sleep and probably my habit of grinding my teeth. Yes, it could be MS or MS could exacerbate it. But my MS team doesn't take it seriously and lumps everything under disease symptom, just manage it with lifestyle and PT.

Do I see a separate neurogist? I don't want to tell them MS when I give my history. I'm curious what kind of diagnosis or treatment I could get if the doctor doesn't know I have MS.

Can anyone relate?

I’m Black and I blow dry and straighten my hair after every (medicated) wash. Should I use MCT8 before or after styling?

I’m Black and I blow dry and straighten my hair after every (medicated) wash. Should I use MCT8 before or after styling? At first I was thinking use after. But then I thought maybe using it before, could help protect my scalp from the tugging… or would it be too much with the oil and the heat? I have no clue. Anyone who blow dries or presses regularly can weigh in?

How do you deal with resentments that pop up?

For the record, I completed the Yellow Workbook with a fellow traveler. Where I did that thorough resentment inventory that I never want to see again

I have resentments that pop up. For example a lady in my book group, my roommate etc. Is there a spot check inventory you like to use?

For me, I attend ACA because I want to work a program - I have problem - and there is a solution. While outreach is great, I need something more concrete

So, does anyone have a spot check inventory or process that they like to use? For when a resentment crops up and interferes with your serenity?

For those of us affected by the poor air quality due to the Canadian wildfires

I normally try to get outside multiple times a day. But with the air quality being so poor (180-200) where I am, I feel like I should limit my time outdoors.

How are you all coping?

I’m getting scared - need encouragement to find my way out of this

I’m getting worse and I’m getting scared. I have no support, only my brother. (We are both estranged from entire family.) He has his head in the clouds/denial. I
get the feeling he doubts me or maybe he just acts like that because it’s overwhelming. I’m unemployed and very isolated. Like I have no friends. This was a “tear everything down and rebuild” period of my life. I never expected all these physical health issues due to the environment would be part of it.

I’m going to try and find a job even though I’m currently applying for disability (waiting on a decision.)

Sometimes I don’t recognize myself in the mirror. When I step outside - even for 30
minutes only - I look SO different/less inflamed. I know it’s something in my home/building. The longer I’m out of the house, the better I feel. In a few hours I start to feel human again, feel like “me” … like “Ohh THIS is who I really am. Not the shell I am when I’m home.” Reminds me of my childhood trauma: I know something’s “not right” at home but no one cares, and I can’t do anything about it. Everyone’s oblivious but me. I feel better outside the home but I’m “stuck.” Except now I am an adult - I can and have to do something about it.

I’m very scared. I have pretty severe CPTSD. I’m going to take it one day at a time. This is a big test of my CPTSD healing: can I become the empowered adult in the situation and take charge? And save myself?

Is anyone in a similar position? I feel like I’m at ground zero and the only way is up but it’s hard getting out of this when I feel so. sick. all. the. time.

Thinking of changing all my logins for things from Google emails to other privacy focused ones. Or do I need to start from scratch?

Starting with my social media apps

This whole thing is so overwhelming

I’ve got proton for personal. I was considering making a separate account for my socials that are currently registered with Google. I’m concerned about the implication. Forgive me, I’m not advanced on these matters. I see it as a boogeyman that can travel across email registration?! lol if you get what I mean. So is it better or is it like you’d better start from
scratch

Is it normal to have the gyn prescribe stuff to you without receiving the results of a culture?

For example doctor diagnosing chronic yeast infections and BV and prescribing the medications for those things. Based on patient history and visual examination alone.

I understand yeast is fairly common and obvious but lately I have found that they just throw flucanozole and antibiotics at you and call it a day. We don’t need to be taking certain things unnecessarily. The lab hasn’t returned the results yet, and yet, the doctor has prescribed medications. I’m not sure how common this is or if I should mention this or not to the provider. My main concern is taking things unnecessarily which can affect the gut. and her assuming without making sure.

Songs as beautiful as What Was I Made For? by Billie Eilish

Could be about anything but must be contemplative, humanistic, optimistic, or at least, not bleak, harsh or scary…. something that can fit in with a nice playlist

Any sound just as long as it’s beautiful (to you). I love that WWIMF is both calming and stirring at the same time

I also like strong melodic components throughout the songwriting, something memorable (as in the melody hooks you and you find yourself wanting to hum along after just a few listens.) Nothing too experimental or disjointed (I like that too but not for this playlist)

Haiti vs Scotland World Cup game and Knicks vs Spurs finals game 5 at the same time, why😓

As a New Yorker Haitian-American I’m kinda vexed these two games are airing at the same time! Anyone else? I don’t know if i should flip back and forth, but then what’s the fun in that?? You miss crucial moments on both. or have 2 screens going at once? or watch one and a playback of the other after?

What’s y’all’s plan?

If you were going away from the offending environment for 4 days, to spend time in nature, what would you do?

First time poster, please be kind I am usually a researcher extraordinaire, used to educating myself my way out of problems. Or use those research skills and tenacity find experts to help me. CIRS is a different beast. Not only am I tired and drained, sick, cognitively dull... living in survival mode... CIRS specialists are hard to find and expensive.

So now I am simply doing my best. I try to remediate what I can. I take Zyrtec and quercetin. That's all I can afford right now.

TL;DR: I got the opportunity to go to a nature retreat for 4 days. Is there anything I can do while I'm there that could aid in my ongoing healing journey? Limited budget but are there any supplements I should buy and use while I'm over there?

Also, can one take binders while in the environment?

Thank you for reading, any input would be appreciated.

Electrolyte supplements without citric acid

Does anyone know of any electrolyte supplements - any form - that don't contain citric acid?

I usually edit:make my own eletrolyte drink using just drink coconut water and take a magnesium supplement, but I will be going on a camping trip and can't bring alot of stuff so looking for something portable. I'm sensitized to citric acid (get little bumps all over from it) so I'd like to avoid it.

Questions ahead of maintenance coming to clean out two vents in my apartment

My building maintenance is finally coming to clean my HVAC vents in my kitchen and bathroom. I don’t think they’ve been cleaned once since I moved in several years ago. I only started paying attention recently after developing skin and breathing issues and learning about indoor air quality.

I’m allergic/sensitive to dust, dust mites, and mold, so I’m worried they’re going to do a quick/sloppy job (they’re hit and miss, they haven’t been that through with some jobs)

A few questions before they come. I’ll bold the questions:

They say they’re going to use a vacuum, should I insist it’s a HEPA vacuum? What’s the difference and how can I tell?

Should I wear an N95/mask during and after the cleaning?

Is there anything I should do beforehand to keep dust/mold from spreading through the apartment?
Or after? How can I tell if they actually cleaned the vents properly?

Also the vents are passive, meaning they don’t suck anything out it seems. Does that mean that air isn’t being circulated between apartments/building units? Can contaminants still travel through the system? It’s a huge building, hundreds of units and over 25 floor, with both residential and commercial (medical, law, dental offices).

Less urgent but questions crossing my mind: If my vents get cleaned but other tenants’ vents don’t, does that still help? How often are vents realistically supposed to be cleaned? Is this something I can maintain after?

One more weird thing: there’s some kind of liquid/drip stain on one of the kitchen vents. It dripped once and then dried/stayed there. Someone told me it could be related to paint or condensation, but I have no idea if that’s true.

It will take me a while because I’m not home yet but I will try and add pics in the comments. Any advice would be appreciated!

What pharmacies are filling your prescriptions? Open to surrounding areas as well. Due to the nationwide shortage issue, my regular pharmacy has advised me to look elsewhere...
