22M in DC With No Friends… So I’m Fixing That

22M from DC Looking for Entrepreneur Friends in the DMV

Alright, this is either going to be a great idea or the beginning of a Netflix documentary. 😂

I'm 22 years old from Washington, DC, and I recently realized something...

I literally have no friends.

Yeah... as sad as that sounds. 💀 So at this point, I'm basically accepting applications. 😂

I'm looking to meet people around my age who are entrepreneurs, starting their entrepreneurial journey, or simply people who are ambitious and trying to build something with their lives.

I'm looking for genuine people who would rather talk about business ideas, goals, things they're learning, places they want to explore, experiences they've had, accomplishments they're proud of, and what they're working toward next.

I'm not really interested in the usual conversations about drama, gossip, partying every weekend, or just talking about random bullshit for hours. I'd rather be around people who actually inspire each other, challenge each other, learn from each other, and push each other to become better.

I'm especially interested in people who have big goals and are serious about creating something for themselves. I want to meet people who are building businesses, investing, creating, exploring different opportunities, and constantly looking for ways to level up their lives. Basically, people who have a lot going on and aren't afraid to think bigger.

A little about me: I'm 22, I'm from DC, and I'm the founder of 88 Studio. Our motto is "We Create Experiences."

We're not just a nightlife business. That's only one part of what we're building. The bigger vision is creating experiences, communities, and projects that bring people together and eventually grow into something much bigger.

I'd love to actually meet up somewhere in the DMV rather than just becoming another Reddit username we occasionally message. 😂 We could grab coffee, explore DC, work on our own projects together, talk business, check out new places, or just hang out and see if we click.

If you're also looking for genuine friends who are ambitious, curious, and trying to make something out of their lives, feel free to reach out.

You can comment here or email me directly:

clsfb55@gmail.com

And if this post somehow leads to an actual friend group, I'll consider Reddit officially useful for once. 😂

Looking for a Meme Video Editor / Content Creator (Paid)

Looking for a Meme Video Editor / Content Creator (Paid)

I'm looking for someone who specializes in creating viral meme style content that can organically promote my brand and events.

I don't have an existing content library for you to clip from. Instead, I'm looking for someone who can create the videos from scratch using memes, trending formats, stock footage, creative edits, storytelling, sound design, and whatever else it takes to make people stop scrolling.

The end goal is for every video to naturally lead viewers to our Instagram and create interest around 88 Studio and our upcoming events without feeling like a traditional advertisement.

I also want someone who understands content distribution. After creating the videos, I want them clipped, repurposed, and posted across platforms the same way creators do for Kick and Twitch streamers. Think multiple short clips from one concept spread across Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, X, and anywhere else that can generate organic reach.

I'm looking for someone who understands retention, hooks, pacing, memes, internet culture, and how to create content that people actually want to watch and share.

This is a paid opportunity. If this sounds like something you're good at, send me your portfolio, your rates, examples of similar work you've done, and how you'd approach building this type of content strategy from the ground up.

Looking to Relearn Trading From Scratch. Can Someone Explain It to Me Like I'm New?

Looking to Relearn Trading From Scratch. Can Someone Explain It to Me Like I'm New?

I've decided I want to relearn trading from the ground up because I realized I never actually understood what I was doing.

A few years ago I tried getting into trading, but it always felt more like gambling than actually making informed decisions. Looking back, I think I was just clicking buttons without understanding why.

I've used Pump.fun (and lost money), OANDA, Webull, TradingView, and even tried trading crypto using Trojan. Every time I thought I was starting to get it, I'd lose money or get confused, so I eventually stopped.

Now I want to start over and actually learn how trading works. I want to understand bulls and bears, candlesticks, why the market moves the way it does, how people decide what stocks or crypto to trade, when to buy, when to sell, how to manage risk, and how experienced traders think before entering a trade.

If you were starting from absolute zero today, what platform would you learn on? Would you recommend stocks, crypto, forex, or something else? What strategy do you personally use, and how did you find it? How do you decide what stock or coin is worth trading instead of just picking something randomly?

I also want to know what I should spend the next few months researching before I even think about risking real money again. If there are any books, YouTube channels, websites, or courses that genuinely helped you understand trading, I'd love to hear about them.

If anyone here has been trading for years and wouldn't mind explaining things in really simple terms—seriously, almost gorilla-level simple—I would genuinely appreciate it. I'm not looking for a shortcut or a get-rich-quick strategy. I just want to understand how the markets actually work so I'm making decisions based on knowledge instead of luck.

Thanks in advance to anyone willing to help.

Question for people who run clipping pages for streamers

I've been trying to learn how the whole streamer clipping business actually works behind the scenes.

For the people who run clipping pages or manage creators, how are you uploading so many clips every day across TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, X, Facebook, etc.? Is there software where you can drop in a full VOD or YouTube video, have it automatically create clips, and then schedule/post them to every platform? Or is everyone doing this manually?

I'm also wondering how people usually hire clippers. Is it better to find one person who can handle every platform, or separate people for different platforms? Where do you even find reliable clippers?

One more thing: if you're paying based on performance, is $0.50 per 1,000 views considered fair, too low, or too high? I'd love to hear what creators and clippers are actually paying nowadays.

Just trying to understand the business before I build out a system. Any advice or personal experience would be appreciated.

Looking to connect with other entrepreneurs (18-28).

Looking to connect with other entrepreneurs (18-28).

You can be just getting started, have a tech background, run a clothing brand, do eCommerce, trading, marketing, or simply be someone who enjoys building things and wants to be around like-minded people.

A little about me:

I'm 22, based in Washington, DC, and currently working on building 88 Studio, a brand focused around hosting events, parties, and creating experiences.

I've always been entrepreneurial at heart. I started taking entrepreneurship seriously around 20/21, but honestly it started way before that. Back in middle school, I was selling candy and making around $100 a week. As I got older, I tried a little bit of everything.

At 19, I launched my first Shopify store called "Out The Nest" selling silicone baby products through dropshipping. It failed.

After that, I started selling what I called "Chug Juices"—fruit juices mixed with a little alcohol for adults during the summer. It was inspired by a VICE video about a guy selling street cocktails.

Later, my younger brother and I started selling homemade dog treats door-to-door. Surprisingly, we made more doing that than selling juice. That eventually led to SnacksNWags.com. It wasn't a huge success, but it made enough money to fund the next idea.

Over the years, I've learned that entrepreneurship is mostly failing, learning, and trying again.

Today, I'm focused on the experience industry—events, parties, and building communities through 88 Studio.

If you're building something, have ideas, want to ask/give advice, or just want to meet other entrepreneurs, drop a comment or send me a message. Doesn't matter if you're in DC or on the other side of the world.

If enough people are interested, I'd be down to start a Discord server or even put together an iMessage/WhatsApp group chat so we can all connect, share ideas, keep each other accountable, and grow together.

Would love to build a small network of people who are trying to do more with their lives. Comment your age, where you're from, and what you're currently building.

Looking for Marketing Help for Homeover Takeover (DMV Area)

Hey everyone,

I’m the founder of 88 Studio, and we’re currently preparing for our upcoming event, Homeover Takeover.

We’re creating a high energy, movie inspired house party experience with a unique atmosphere and identity built around the 88 Studio brand.

The event itself is already set up. We have the location, DJs, equipment, and production handled. Ticket sales will be through Plots, and we’ve already started physical marketing.

Right now, we’re looking for someone who can help with the marketing side by building awareness, creating excitement, reaching the right audience, and helping drive attendance.

This is an opportunity to be involved early in building something with a lot of room to grow. We have the vision and execution in place, and we’re looking for someone who can help amplify it.

We’re offering $1,000 after the event is successfully completed and we achieve our targeted event revenue milestone.

If you have experience with event marketing, nightlife promotion, social media growth, or creating buzz around experiences, feel free to reach out.

Looking for an AI Engineer / Technical Partner to Build a Startup With Me

Hey everyone,

I'm looking for someone who genuinely enjoys building products with AI and wants to be part of something from the beginning.

For the last couple of years I've been developing a startup called OIRO. I've spent countless hours working on the vision, business model, branding, and long-term direction because I believe AI is completely changing how businesses will advertise over the next decade.

The only problem is that I'm not a software engineer.

I know exactly what I want to build and where I want to take the company, but I need someone who can help turn that vision into a real product. I'm not looking to hire someone to build an app and disappear. I'm looking for someone who wants to build a company together.

I see this as a partnership where we each focus on what we're best at. I'll be leading the vision, product direction, branding, strategy, partnerships, and growing the business. I'm looking for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, building scalable products, and knows how to use tools like Claude, Cursor, GitHub, and other AI development tools to move quickly.

You don't need to know everything, and I'm not expecting a unicorn. What matters most to me is that you're curious, ambitious, honest, and excited about building something that could become much bigger than just another startup.

Because this is an original business idea, I'd like us to sign a mutual NDA before getting into the deeper details of the platform. If we decide we're a good fit, we'll also make sure everything is clearly documented so both of us understand our roles, responsibilities, ownership of the work, intellectual property, and any future equity discussions. I want everything to be transparent from the start so we're both protected and can focus on building.

I'm not looking for someone chasing a quick freelance job. I'm looking for someone who wants to solve difficult problems, build an incredible product, and hopefully create something that has a real impact.

If that sounds like you, send me a message. Tell me a little about yourself, what you've worked on, how you've been using AI in development, and what excites you about building startups. If we get along and our goals align, I'd love to jump on a call and see where it goes.

Looking forward to meeting some great people.
