They really go together

I actually have seen all of these (even the more niche and obscure ones as a kid). Yes, I am also counting PAW Patrol.

I generally think its okay. Still, the original series was far more better than the reboot. But there are a few things I didn't like:

1. Power Paige, now I don't really hate Power Paige. I think she's ok? I mean its nice to see them add a new member. But what I don't like about her is that she took most of the screentime away from the original Super Readers (like she always had to appear in every short). I just hope they don't focus too much on Power Paige in the upcoming full series.

2. I really wished there were shorts consistent on more than 1 or 2 Super Readers, Like Super Why appeared in 8 shorts, Wonder Red appeared in 4, and worst of all, Princess Presto only appeared in just 3 shorts! That's not how you treat the original team!! Also, I really wanted Super Why and Princess Presto to be together in at least one short since I usually think they have a relationship (I mean they are confirmed to be together in the upcoming series).

3. No Alpha Pig and Woofster, that generally sucks that they don't have these two in the 2023 shorts. Because of that, the shorts are mostly "Girl Power". Now, I do know they actually paid homage to Alpha Pig and Woofster as cameos. But still, you can't have the Super Readers without them! (especially Woofster). But hey, at least they actually listened to the fans and brought back Alpha Pig. Now if only they could bring back Woofster in the full series.

In conclusion, the 2023 shorts were fine. But I can't wait for the upcoming full reboot coming out next month! (Please don't let me down, PBS).

At first, I thought of this show being ok as a kid, but now rewatching it, it’s PEAK!!!!! This is one the best PBS Kids shows I ever seen (besides Curious George, that will always hold a place in my heart).

All I really need to watch is the reboot shorts so I can get fully ready for the upcoming full reboot this October.

The first movie was the only time they did this.

Here's my opinions on all the movies:

Despicable Me: Underrated classic that was really good.

Hop: Overhated gem (yes, idc what anyone thinks. ESPECIALLY Schaffrillas). I'm a huge fan of The Pink Berets.

The Lorax: Ehh, it had it's moments. Good movie, but bad adaptation

Despicable Me 2: Underrated childhood favorite of the Despicable Me franchise

Minions: It was fun watching it.

The Secret Life of Pets: Ummm... it's ok.

Sing: It's quite good, ngl.

Despicable Me 3: Remember watching this movie in theaters and I had a lotta fun. Also this movie is really good.

The Grinch: Jim Carrey did it better. Not a huge fan at Illumination's Dr. Seuss adaptations.

The Secret Life of Pets: honestly better than the first one (i like fast paced movies.)

Sing 2: Like TSLOP 2, better than the first.

Minions: The Rise of Gru: Very good movie that had the Minions really do something instead of doing goofy stuff when we see them. (even though I like them for how they are)

The Super Mario Bros. Movie: My god, it's so GOOD!!

Migration: Did see it in theaters, and thought it was a great film.

Despicable Me 4: call me crazy, but I loved this movie (still though, I wished we had more Mega Minions scenes)

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie: Best movie I ever seen (even though it had it's problems)

Minions & Monsters: A really fun and outstanding watch, looks like the Minions movies are getting better and better.

Can't wait for Not Alone next year.
