Pixabay music for video games
So, Pixabay music apparently gets copyright claimed a lot. If a content creator is playing a game with pixabay music, does the Pixabay content license extend to them? -- does it count as fair use? Do they have to download the license for the dispute? Not sure how that works, or if it will be an issue and maybe I should get music from elsewhere.
Added gradients in my crochet-doodling game #art #drawing #relaxing
I'm working on a cozy creative game where you design you own brush upgrades. Demo is live now!
Made a doodling game that accidentally fixed my art anxiety.
I'd been wanting to learn drawing for years, and could never really make any progress on it. Then I started working on a game that wasn't supposed to have anything to do with drawing at all. It was originally a crochet simulator. Now it's a drawing and scrapbooking game. I've spent 3 months random scribbling in it to test the game and a massive block I had toward learning drawing was just gone. Feels obvious in hindsight that if you lower the stakes and make the process more fun, anxiety becomes a non-issue.
Recommendations for cozy creature-collectors?
PC or mobile is fine. Creatures should have a nice variety, and should NOT be made to fight each other. Looking for more of a cozy gameplay with pretty visuals, cute (preferably fantasy) animals, engaging story.
I loved the creature-collection in Hogwarts Mystery on android, although the rest of the game was mostly tedious.
Added gradients to my crochet-doodling game and it's awesome
I love making gradients in my game and I've been manually choosing every color for them. Finally added gradients to this and it might be the best addition aside from draw-your-own-brush-upgrades. I'm planning on adding options for more colors and different transition types.
Thoughts?
Game is here, there's a live demo: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4714860/Meander/
I'm convinced I should redo this, but not sure what to fix exactly.
So I'm trying different fonts and different compositions. It's a creative sandbox game. Crochet-doodling and scrapbooking. I want the crochet-doodling part to be clear from the capsule, at least.
Is there an autism-friendly approach to marketing?
I made a game. The internet is full of advice on stuff you have to do make the game not be a massive flop. Brain has trouble caring about most of this advice. It's exhausting and performative and feels like big effort for small result. Will keep this short because I don't just want to rant forever. I think this is an ok tldr.
I love my game. I loved making it, too. I want to find some way to get it to people who might also like it, but I feel like that's a doomed hope. If anyone's figured out this part of adulting, please help.
Destroy this gameplay piece from my game for a short. What change would make you stick around to watch the whole video?
Help me improve this short. I'm new to video editing. What am I missing?
youtube.comLooking for short, narrative-based games.
I'm working on a game right now, and I've pretty much only played it for the last three months or so. And I love it. But the demo is out now and I want to take a little break before diving back into it.
I love Stray and Gris. Looking for good stories, ideally not too sad.
Which games have your favorite stories or characters?
I love deep, realistic characters and engaging stories in games. Not a huge fan of combat, so bonus points if that's not a major part of the game.

Meander, a crochet-inspired drawing and scrapbooking game.
Meander is a relaxing drawing game with a crochet aesthetic. There's a lot of freedom in what you make. Simple stitches and buttons can be combined to make more complex brushes which messes with the crochet realism but is very fun to make. You can save your doodles in your scrapbook and decorate them with customizable stickers and text. The game is currently being playtested and the demo will be released mid-late June.
