Man I’m honestly disappointed in this community for all this. Well from what I’ve seen the subreddit hasn’t really been mad about this whole war machine not being F2P stuff, which is nice to see. Why do people even attack devs for not allowing a dev tower that’s not even that good to become public? Plus it’s actually just pixels on a screen, why are people so mad about this?? Ok first thing to clarify before you read my rant, some people have said “why do people become so emotional over a game?”, and like I get it, SAB children raging clips were funny af and it was all because kids were emotional over some AI generated shit. But this is not that typa stuff. I personally don’t adore this game nor it’s devs, it’s fun but there’s better games out there, and I haven’t been very active with this until around 1 week ago. I wanna to see actual CHANGE happen. I want to see the game that I’ve put blood and sweat into CHANGE for the better. This probably won’t reach the devs, and even if they do see this exact post they probably won’t care, but the chances are better than not trying.

Ok first thing, we need new metas. Sure, me, pellepu, golden, 5on7 and others don’t use the hard meta, we use underrated weapons (CB, ER, RPG, flame in order), and we fight the sweats just fine (well I can’t until the guy with no head and wearing a purple hat with two ears fixes matchmaking). But 99% of the community can’t use the meta, they’re forced to use something like AR, because either they simply can’t shift away from a certain playstyle (it’s hard to change playstyles from meta to non-meta, no matter how rewarding it may be), and that makes high level games just sniper/AR/EP/revo/exo/scythe/war horn. It’s just very bland, and sure every match is different like there’s 20 smth different maps but everyone just mindlessly votes arena, same map, basically same skill, same guns. It’s very bland, don’t you think? Sure some of you will disagree but still, it’s very bland for me. As a beginner to high-level gameplay, it’s very hard to adjust past level 200, and as I can see from most of the lobbies in this game most people in them are level 1-100 and all the high levels in matchmaking. If you grind to 200 in the lobby, find it too easy, queue matchmaking, find it too hard and don’t adjust (mind you most people in those lobbies are children who are under 13), you’re bound to go back to the lobbies, and troll all the new players coming in, and the moment that starts happening, new players quit, game starts making less money, nosniy sees it’s not making him money so he makes more P2W, game becomes slop, dies.

We need change. Fair matchmaking, fair balancing, a new “meta” that’s not too strong nor weak, good moderation. This will probably fix the issue with this game. Maybe, I don’t know, I’m only level 228, idk much about the rivals comp scene. But no matter what this game needs to CHANGE for the better. If the things I said above won’t make the game die, something else definitely will. Once the game starts dying it’s going to be rapid, as rivals relies only on their players to keep the games alive. And now we need change. The gaming industry in general needs change. Fast.

Yes, this clip you see here is real and not edited (why would you think it’s edited? Are you insane), a level 200 PC blatantly flying who has not been banned yet, on his main acc. If Nosniy wants the game to progress in a better direction he’s gonna have to change the moderation, and currently he’s not doing anything. Think about it: if you want the moderators to be competent at their job, you have to reward them to do so, and clearly the moderators are not being rewarded for banning hackers. I trust them to do well, something about this but well it’s basically a lost cause. If they take 1000 RBX bribes from top clan closet cheaters that means 1. They’re not getting paid enough 2. They’re lazy and greedy and only want the bag. It’s a pattern all the way from nosniy&sensei (yes you too don’t think you will just get away with it) that they only want to make a quick buck before they ruin the game and make it die. If you want a game to stay in peoples hearts forever, make it fun, make it not greedy, make it not repetitive. NDS did well at that, it was created very early on in the history of Roblox and still averages 10k CCU, believe it or not it still gets updated occasionally. The entire dev team does NOT want to do that. When was the last time they added a real gun that’s not just something else copied? Grappler? No, just a shitty movement gun that made new freeze shorty tech. Permafrost? Assualt rifle+freeze ray. Distortion? RPG+shotgun with a wormhole ability. All the battlepass weapons? They don’t even have their own niche at all. The last time they actually added something real, something new was with satchels, crossbow, EP etc etc. Nosniy says he cares about the game, but he really doesn’t. He’s just squeezing every last dime out of every last player, and does nothing to care about whatever the fuck the mods do, which leads to incompetent mods, and therefore worse moderation. Thing is, this helps him make money, he’s making veterans quit to keep the noobs “happy” so they spend more on the game, and when they eventually become high levels they’ll realize the problem with the game, then quit, which makes new players happier, repeat. Hackers are very rare at low level queues, more rare than the 100s-300s in fact, so they noobs think “oh this game has good mods” and keep playing, keep feeding the loop, and they’re mostly under 13, so they don’t realize the trap they’ve walked into.

If this game wants change it’s gonna have to change fast, and by that I mean within 2-3 months before the new player flow stops. I trust that this game can be better, just it needs change. Now.

Sure, there’s much worse and much more greedy games out there, but the reason why I’m making this rant ie because rivals is probably one of the biggest and most well-hidden greedy games in all of gaming. Rivals averages 100k-300k CCU daily, which is consisted mostly of little children (<13) and teenagers under (≤18).

Ok so how did the game get so popular in the first place? It was simply new and innovative. Before rivals the main FPS on Roblox was phantom forces, black hawk down, gunfight arena etc etc. However they had some serious issues. Phantom forces and black hawk down were good, but phantom forces was PC exclusive and black hawk down was not easy to learn as a noob, gunfight arena was greedy and botted and when they started the season shit I truly quit that thing. Rivals was not any of those: it was simple, not botted, easy to learn, HAD fair matchmaking and wasn’t P2W. You play, unlock weapons, you fight, get keys, get more weapons, but at the same time every weapon was a different experience, there was no absolute meta and everything had it’s own niche, the devs gave free keys every update, and those updates weren’t slop, they were often and gave good balancing and good content. Sure the tutorial was kinda useless but one YouTube video and you’ve learnt the basics. It was fun.

Now why is it boring now, and why do so many people still play it? Well the earliest reason was auto sniper, but that could just get easily outplayed because most people who used it just stood in one place and didn’t care if they died so with the right strats auto sniper was easy to counter. Rivals kept growing, new people kept coming. And then they added the season pass. This is where it all started. Pay 500 Robux and get a shotgun that does a stupid amount of damage, pierces riot and katana and explodes! The season pass ended? You can still get it for the low low price of SEVEN HUNDRED AND FIFTY KEYS! What’s this? You only get 1 daily task a day and after that grinding is boring as hell and you wanna refresh the tasks? No problem, fork up 9 Robux, EVERY TIME! You don’t wanna do those tasks? No problem just buy 1100 keys with 5000 Robux and you can now buy the gun that used to cost ONLY 500 Robux! If you’re someone F2P and grind say 10 keys a day, that’s 2 months and a half of grinding for 1 weapon, and once you finally buy it you realize nosniy nerfed it a huge amount and it sucks now. You worked harder for less than someone who just paid their way to victory. And this is a pattern. You bought permafrost F2P for 750 keys? Well it sucks now, good luck using it. Your friend who bought permafrost at the start of S2? He already got diamond on it in FFA because it was OP for the first month of release. Oh yeah then there’s the new free summer crate where you have to WIN 100 GAMES and GET 100 kills OUTSIDE of FFA, TDM, or gun game. All this can be skipped by using 249 Robux an infinite amount of times, oh and without the 14 day time limit.

Well if the free summer case was so bad why wasn’t the OG free cases not “greedy”? Well, they were easy and fun to grind for, you didn’t have to skip the process you could just do it yourself without suffering so much, it’’s just win 2 games, play 5 games, get 15 kills. Easy. The candle knife skin was annyoing to grind for sure, did it suck, definitely but it’s a free skin, plus you couldn’t just pay your way and just buy it with money. What nosniy is doing is actively encouraging people to pay for the skin case while appearing to give a free skin case for F2P users.

Now let’s get to the main reason rivals is just shitslop now, it’s because of the matchmaking. It’s not fun anymore. Wanna play ranked? Nah you queue into hackers every game, or you get queued into archnems as gold 2. Wanna play 1v1s? Nah you queue into bacons who are secretly level 400 playing on an alt. Oh yeah nosniy won’t do shit about this, stop begging him to do smth, the mods literally take bribes for unbans (yes im serious). Paying for better guns won’t fix this, which brings frustration once you reach a certain point, even if you paid, even if you bought every gamepass every weapon every bundle. So, you quit. Nosniy just made 1000 Robux off of you who will now never play again. If you wanna grind to be as good as those level 600s, sure just train for over 300h and you’ll get there. Mind you most people who play rivals are under 18, they have more important stuff to do in life, and they cannot afford to play for 300h whilst getting better. Either you play mindlessly or don’t play at all, you barely get better. Once you get all the weapons, buy all the gamepasses… what else is there left? Destroy noobs for fun? The more you destroy noobs, the more pros you queue into, until it’s intolerable and then you quit. You’re forced to change drastically, once you reach 200 you will get a lot better players, matchmaking will be worse (I queued into a level 473 a few weeks ago as a level 227). Most people have to either change rapidly or give up, and once again, most people who play are under 18, which means either their brain simply cannot adapt to this change (<13) or they have more things to do in life and simply cannot change fast enough before they quit (13-18). Even if you did change fast enough, there’s more sweats Smurfs and hackers down the road, which eventually will get intolerable unless you adapt to that too. The people who come out are few and far between, and those who quit have often spent Robux. Why hasn’t nosniy done anything about this? Because it’s making him money. If most people quit before they become sweaty, new players will keep flooding in, keep feeding him money, while the veterans already bought everything and can’t spend any more. Most low level players are often under 13 which means they aren’t aware of this and WILL feed nosniy money, sometimes even bringing new victims, until they too inevitably quit. You can also see nosniy NERFING standard weapons, making players BUY prime weapons or suffer a disadvantage, be it minor or large. Sure hes nerfed prime weapons but those nerfs were mostly minor, while he buffed weapons like distortion and sniper (yes ik not prime but it is meta) because he knows that will make more people spend money to buy the keys to unlock it, or just downright buy the standard weapons gamepass

Nosniy doesn’t care what the players want, he just wants the bag. It’s a toxic loop, and we the community cannot end it. Speak out in the discord and the same mods who take 2000 Robux bribes for unbanning real cheaters will ban you. The only way it’ll slop when eventually nosniy runs out of steam, and at that point the new players will stop, and the loop of greed finally ends.
