A maid ruined my SA - how does NPC detection work?

I am quite new to the game, I'm playing freelancer, and I got to the point where I get these prestige objectives, and doing SA is usually the least complicated and ridiculous one.

I was on a mission in Dartmoor, and everything was going well, but at one point I encountered a situation where I was on a balcony, and in the room adjacent to that balcony were two enforcers - the maid and some other dude, who I lured out and threw a crowbar at his head, it was fine, nobody noticed a thing, until I started dragging his body, when the maid noticed me, despite the fact that she didn't see me earlier. I also feel like she detected me really quickly but maybe it just is like this normally.

So my question is if the viewcones are larger when I'm doing something illegal or what? Or did I just get unlucky and she turned towards me at the wrong time?

Another city i have created

Some mods involved to increase public transport usage and walking percentages on a super flat to try and create the perfect city with the following context bc people are missing it in comments. No connectivity to the highway for specialised industry means no huge amounts of trucks clogging the high ways, each square has its own dedicated cargo line to move goods instead quicker and more efficient with each square also having its own warehouses to hold excess incase of a train station malfunction. The colleges, airport and race track are equally not connected to again reduce highway clogs and force public transport usage meaning less overall traffic and more money earnt from transport. Each of the squares are built predominantly with pedestrian or bus and pedestrian roads to ensure most of the traffic driving around is for goods delivery and doesn't get blocked behind private vehicles just driving round the corner. Each half of the map or 3 squares are connected to the airport via a train line. And each square has a highway connection so when people are moving in the can either come via plane, train or car but once this has happened most ise public transport to get around the city. The entire aim was to reduce traffic as much as possible and increase cargo delivery efficiency. Lmk what you think

ULT Wear or XM5?

I'm planning to get myself new headphones in the near future, and I don't know if it's worth paying almost double for the XM5s. I know that the XM5's ANC is better, but how big of a difference it actually is? I am also aware that both of them have some hinge problems, but they can't be as common as the amount of posts here suggests, right? Also how much better is the sound on the XM5s? I know that the ULTs have a lot of bass, but I'm fine with it, I'm asking about the overall sound quality.

Edit: I'll be using them mostly for commutes, and maybe sometimes for the gym and gaming (if they turn out to be better than my gaming headset) so I'd prefer the more comfortable one, unless it's not a big difference/depends on the person

I'm looking for a valley surrounded by mountains, but on a much bigger scale

I'm looking for a valley surrounded by mountains (like in the picture), but a really big one. This one's around 16x16 chunks for comparison, but I'd want it to be way bigger, while also looking reasonable with the width:height ratio. The biomes don't really matter, but I'd prefer something like in the picture - greenery (a cherry blossom would be nice as well) inside with snowy mountains around it

How to achieve anything as Kraków?

I'm playing Kraków with the ultimate goal to reform PLC and get the achievement, but I have no clue how to break free. I have around 2 million GDP, with 75% literacy and 700k population, which I guess isn't that bad, and I managed to get Prussia and Hungary to support my independence, but the problem is that Prussia isn't really that strong this time, especially compared to Austria, and that Austria and Russia like each other so I have to fight both of them at once.

My biggest problem is probably getting involvement in other regions - I managed to get to level 3 in the Balkans to get Hungary's support, but unless I get lucky with some military access shenanigans, there's no way for me to get to level 3 somewhere where France or Britain also are involved (as a puppet I have very limited diplomatic capacity)

Is there a way, including cheesy ones, to either get that involvement, or make Austria and Russia break the holy alliance (they're both at about +70 reasons to keep it)? Or should I just wait and pray that Prussia gets strong enough to beat Austria and Russia, but only for a moment so that I can take what I need from them later?
