Says it's seashells and flowers and grass. I see some snails in there too. Finger painting with some brush work too.
I hate the commercialization of Halloween. I miss when it was a niche holiday and you didn't start seeing Halloween in stores until September. It all just seems to feed so much into the machine of over-consumption and endless waste. It feels like the fast fashion of holidays. Part of the fun (for me anyway) growing up was making homemade decorations. Now it honestly just feels like spooky Christmas. People try to outdo their neighbors and it's just copypaste decor. Someone has a giant skeleton on the left side of the lawn and inflatables on the other. The person next door has a giant skeleton on the right side of the lawn and some mass produced ghosts hanging from a tree. It looks like everyone gets the same shit and the only variation is positioning. I can't help but feel that somehow it just lost what made it special.
No shade to the people posting Halloween hauls (I was the person who'd hit the stores November 1st to buy year-round spooky decor for 80% off lmao) but at what point do we just stop buying into the mass production and over consumption of cheap crap? I don't want to see Halloween shit in stores in July. It's like we, as a society, cannot be in the present day. Halloween starts in summer, Christmas starts in September, Valentine's Day starts in early January. Enough already.

Took out a book called Little Witch Hazel from the library to read to my kiddo based solely on the cover art. Imagine how delighted I was to find that in several of the illustrations, Little Witch Hazel has leg hair!! And it's never brought up or discussed in any way. It's just how Witch Hazel looks. 💚 Besides that cool detail, the book itself was very awesome & I highly recommend it.
This was recently posted to the Ed Kemper Stories website. The website stated that the picture may have been taken between June 2024 and May 2026.
He looks moody without his moustache. His image resembles the description given by Dr. Loomis of what evil looks like in the Halloween films. His eyes turn darker in every new picture.
I love taking the kiddo out for a hike the day after it rains and looking for mushies together 💚🍄🟫
I can't overstate how much I love walking in the woods the day after it rains and looking for cutie patootie mushies with my kiddo. We also found a shelter (a goblin home obviously) hidden deep in the woods.
Within the last 5-ish years, I've noticed WAYYYY more inflatable outdoor decor. I'm just curious about what this community thinks. Do you prefer more traditional decor? Do you like or own any inflatables? Or could you not care less either way?
I normally wear leggings under shorter dresses and skirts because chafing is real when you're a bigger baddie, but I was in a rush to get to work today. So the legs are on full display.
Please ignore the bruises (I'm clumsy) and the swelling on the left leg. I broke my ankle and foot REALLY badly 2 years ago and it just stays swollen now.
I actually love my house so much in this save file!

I've been playing Stardew since a few months after it came out. I have A LOT of saves, but I've never pursued perfection because it never mattered to me either way. Last night at about 4am, I achieved perfection for the very first time. I had never read spoilers about perfection or the summit, so it was a total surprise to see the cutscenes. I almost cried at how sweet and cute it was. I don't know if I'll ever pursue perfection again, but I'm glad I got around to it.
It took 10 irl years to get it, and funnily enough it took 10 in game years too. (I am not an efficiency player, I like to wander and do whatever I feel like in that particular moment).
I've been a pothead since I was 17. I'm 40 now. My weed usage has dropped considerably in the last 3 years since I've had a child. The last two times I went to the dispensary, I got a variety of pre-rolls (indicas and hybrids, I'm not much of a sativa person) and was just...massively disappointed? I barely felt anything, if I felt anything at all. Didn't matter which brand, which strain. Just felt like I was experiencing nothing from it. So I stopped smoking/ingesting at the beginning of the month and tbh I miss it but I'm not sure if I'm going to smoke again before the end of the year. It just seems like a waste of money if I'm not getting stoned.
I'm surprised because I really haven't been smoking much at all in the last 3 years. Mayyybe one or two pre-rolls a week? I used to smoke a helluva lot more daily, so I'm surprised that my system seemed to abruptly "turn off" given that my tolerance should be much lower.
Has this happened to anyone else? For whatever reason, it just stops doing what it used to do? Do I need a loooooooong tolerance break or something else? I MUCH prefer to smoke it va edibles or vapes. I like the extra cash in my pocket, but I miss having a few tokes to unwind after work when kiddo is with my ex. Or should I embrace my new "sobriety" and just be a former ent wife?
"Men don't love women who don't respect them"
FIRST OF ALL, women don't respect men who are disrespectful.
SECOND OF ALL, Kody is 10000% equating "respect" with "subservient.
Usually the people who get sucked into the manosphere are young, single men. The fact that this fool is 50 fuckin years old with 4 (now 3) wives went down that rabbit hole is even more pathetic than the average red piller. He's such a goddamn clown. It's infuriating to watch him.
His meltdown at Christine. "Like a knife to the kidneys!!! All the sacrifices I've made to love you! WASTED!!!" had me laughing uncontrollably. What a flaccid little man-child. I am REVELING in watching him turn into a typical woman-hating "alpha male" as his wives drop like flies, yet he's just shocked Pikachu face about whyyyyy. Dimwitted jackass.

I'm on season 13 on my first time watching the show and I have thoughts. First of all, Kody is (even more) intolerable. Almost out of nowhere. He doesn't seem like he's even trying to hide his contempt for the OG3 & is much more openly nasty and domineering. I cannot wait to watch his family implode right in front of his face.
Also Janelle. OMFG. She prides herself on being so practical and logical, but she's so fucking lazy. She's openly telling the confessional that she wants the other wives to just pick s location and she's seemingly ambivalent about it, but she's constantly dragging Meri for not being enthusiastic enough for Janelle's standards. I'm so sick of watching her avoid any emotion except anger, while demanding Meri assuage her a thousand fucking times about a single issue. How many times did SHE need to hear that Meri wasn't leaving the family? How many times did SHE need Meri to apologize about not telling the family that she closed on the B&B? Meri says she's fine with moving to Coyote Pass even though she prefers Cottonwood, and Janelle's like "I want her to be excited about it and instead Meri's just like 'it's fine'" YOU WERE JUST SAYING HOW MUCH YOU WANTED THE OTHER WIVES TO DECIDE, YET MERI'S LACK OF ENTHUSIASM IS A MASSIVE ISSUE??? I need Janelle to take several fucking seats. She is sooooooooooo easily my least favorite wife. And they're all kinda terrible, so to be the worst of the worst is quite an accomplishment.
Kody and Janelle turn gaslighting & double standards into a goddamned art form. They deserve each other.
3 years ago, I got pregnant by someone I never intended to be in a relationship with. I was on birth control, but it happened anyway. I made 2 appointments for an abortion, but he didn't take me to either one. (At the time, I was a transplant from NYC so I didn't have a car because I never needed one with the abundance of public transportation available). He begged me endlessly to have the baby and told me on multiple occasions that he would take full legal responsibility for the child and I could sign over parental rights, etc. Eventually it got too late for an abortion, so I went through the whole pregnancy fully intending to surrender legal and physical custody to him as soon as the child was born. The pregnancy was horrendous, I was in and out of the hospital multiple times. I started hemorrhaging after childbirth, was quite literally 2 minutes from needing a transfusion to stop me from dying. When I was stabilized, one of the nurses asked me if I still wanted to go ahead with my plan to not see or hold the baby. I said "let me see the little thing that tried to kill me" so they put my baby on my chest and the first thing baby did was exhale from their nose onto my face. I'm agnostic to the core, but I immediately felt like my baby had breathed life into me, like God into Adam.
I fell in love immediately and since that day, I've been a very involved parent (as well as the primary parent) because surprise, surprise the dad liked the idea more than the reality. He and I have never ever had a smooth relationship, it's been fraught with anger, pain, hurt, sadness since day one. Despite this, I determined to do my best to make ur family work for the benefit of our child.
We signed a lease on an apartment together and that's when everything spiraled. I found out he'd slept with at least 3 other people during our relationship, he became verbally and emotionally abusive, and finally culminated in physical abuse. I didn't have the financial means to leave the apartment/break the lease, so I stayed all while he and I were broken up for the final 5 months of the lease.
During the move (our last day in the apartment was June 30th) he seemed giddy and without a care in the world, while I was sobbing uncontrollably, mourning the loss of my hopes and dreams. His parents paid for a brand new apartment for him (he signed his new lease on the morning of June 30th) and I had been planning on living in my car because I couldn't afford a lot of the rentals available in my area.
Today, I met with my old landlady about a room she had available in her basement. She'd offered it to me before, but I wouldn't be able to swing it based on the hours I was getting at work. A week and a half ago, I got a new job with better hours, so I did the math and realized I could afford it now. I'm moving in tomorrow. She knows I don't have the full deposit, but she told me she'd happily take what I have and I can pay it off every month and when we're square with that, my rent will drop to the agreed upon price.
All that to say, I've been so fucking sad and hurt and angry. And I don't understand why. I've wanted to be away from him for MONTHS but now that he's gone, I miss him. I find myself aching for a hug from him. We've been texting each other about deep topics that were a frequent cause of conflict between us in an effort to improve our co-parenting relationship. And I'm horrified to find myself bending over backwards to ingratiate myself to him, actually contemplating changing every fundamental belief and value I have simply to reunite the family unit. Logically I know he's a narcissistic abuser who made me live in fear and never appreciated or acknowledged everything I'd done for him/our family. He felt entitled to it. I KNOW for a fact that I don't want to compromise myself for a man and I CERTAINLY don't want our child to grow up thinking this relationship dynamic is normal or healthy. But despite knowing all of that, I'm still so fucking sad and beside myself with missing him.
I don't know why I'm feeling this way. Our romantic relationship has been over for months and when the breakup was fresh, I dealt with it then. But the last few days have felt like a fresh breakup all over again. My therapist says I'm using my emotional brain (which I absolutely am) and having a trauma response (no argument here) but no matter how much I know and understand, I can't stop myself from missing the absolute fuck out of him and trying to get in his good graces in the hopes that *maybe* I can make him care again. I'm mad at myself for feeling that way. It feels like I'm betraying myself for a man, which I thought I would never do again.
I just needed to get this off my chest & if anyone has any advice or insight, I'm all ears. Thanks for reading.
Today is the day. After 3 years of living as a family unit, we are moving out separately. Our child will spend time at his place and my place, but never under one roof as a family again.
I wanted this. I still do. He's an abusive narcissist who is enabled by his family to remain a man-child forever. We are not compatible in any way, shape, or form. We never were. We found ourselves in a situation we'd never planned on and spent the last 3 years trying to make it work.
I hate him. I hate who he is, I hate his values, I genuinely despise him as a human being. We're basically antagonistic strangers trying to co-parent. I don't even consider him a friend because friends make you feel safe and loved, they make you feel comfortable enough to be vulnerable and be yourself. He does none of those things.
And yet I'm still so sad. I'm so angry. So, so angry. I'm angry and I'm sad and I'm hurt... I feel SO many things right now and none of them are good. I don't understand why I feel this way because I can't wait to not have to share my living space with him.
I'm struggling so fucking badly and I want to cry and scream and yell and get everything out so thoroughly I'm physically exhausted afterwards.
He's upset that I'm not moving the last of my furniture until this evening. He wants me to let his brother come by with his truck and "move everything and get it over with" but I have a friend coming over with a truck after he gets out of work. I don't want his brother or him to do it. He's been downright giddy this whole move while I've been sobbing. I packed up our child's room, I packed up my stuff. I did it all. And he's just been prancing around without a care in the world while my life crumbles around me.
I'm just so fucking sad.
