Why is it any time you get a Latino cashier they sit there talking on the phone for 10 minutes like you don't exist before they decide you deserve some attention?

If Mamdani isn't antisemitic then why did he put shrimp in the tap water? 🤔

Imagine the outrage from liberals if Texas put bacon in the tap water.

Why do people still refuse to say New Jersey when talking about MetLife Stadium?

Obviously I’m talking about the World Cup here now since it just started (although I know other events have this issue) but people love to say a MetLife game is in ‘New York’, ‘near New York’, ‘New York area’ or whatever. We are in 2026 man and people still act like it being in NJ is a curse. From constant articles, gov officials, etc everyone says it. And on the same topic, I found it sillier they changed the stadium name to ‘New York New Jersey Stadium’ for this event, like who the hell in both states wanted that? Is it THAT confusing to international folks who travel here??

I get NYers have always shat on Jersey whether friendly or serious jokes and totally understand this state is boring in comparison but it’s gotta come to a point where they grow balls and acknowledge us. What gives?!

Why are New Yorkers so vocal about transplants?

I understand if people move in and gentrify an area or cause it to lose its culture that’s a bad thing, but there’s discourse that if you’re not born in NYC then you’re a transplant and that transplants are bad.

I never really hear about this with any other city and think about “what if they spoke like that but replaced the city with the country and spoke about immigrants that way”
