I love how Mary’s basically a wag in season 6 with races and glamour, although the cars and racing suits are much different than what we see now. If Mary was a wag right now, what wag do you think she’d be the most like? How she’d dress, which other wags she’d hang out with which team would she be a wag for. To be clear, im not glorifying wags or anything, i just found the storyline a common thing between downton and f1, two of my favourite things. Mary would hate to have her identity reduced to a wag

Edith was such a bitch. That’s it. I don’t care how the Edith defenders attack me, she was a bitch to Mrs. Drewe. Edith and Mr. Drewe were both at fault. I hated Edith because of the Pamuk business but after that she was really improving with her soldiers and column and Gregson. But of course they had to go and ruin it with the Drewe business. Not even the actress’s beauty could save her. She treated Mrs. Drewe like a glorified nanny who had stolen her child. People who are saying she was coerced, no, she said she wouldn’t be cast out when she had decided to terminate the pregnancy. She was not bullied, she was given the choice that she could live without being cast out and her child would be well cared for. Mrs. Drewe cared for marigold like one of her own, she didn’t know Edith was her mother, why should she immediately accept it? The class difference could have easily meant Edith was pressuring Mr. Drewe to give up marigold (in Mrs. Drewe’s eyes, not for us as the audience). I don’t understand where this sub even gets the thought that Mrs. Drewe was wrong. She was the victim who was used and discarded by edith and lied to by her husband

Isobel really rubbed me the wrong way during the whole convalescent home business. Especially when the general came to downton and she interrupted matthew to toot her own horn. Also the whole business of jutting herself in and making clarkson write to the ministry about william and molesley. War is such a terrible thing, most men would obviously not want to go, leaving their families, sacrificing their lives and dying in the trenches. If molesley and william had a chance to stay back and be with their aging fathers, isobel had no business to force them to go. I know william wanted to enlist but his father had no one, had lost william’s mother recently. Those episodes are always unwatchable for me.

I know it’s just a sitcom but man the flood room girls were so rude and annoying. The chronic fatigue girl would have qualified for disabled housing right? Why was the other one so agitated on her behalf? And why was the chronic fatigue one’s twin not living with her sister then? The other girl was so entitled, it’s not your room it’s university housing it can go to anyone. Imo she was just mad about giving up her walk in closet. I felt especially bad for sue considering good things happened to her almost never

It’s a nice balance, sue and brick and submissive and docile but have other expenses and stuff whereas axl is rebellious and rude but also has the least expenses. I love how they didn’t give any kid the upper hand by being perfect in terms of either money or personality

The glossners are obviously the black sheep of the neighbourhood, in and out of jail. But Rita has at least three kids dependent on her, plus im guessing bills and property taxes. How do you think rita made the money?

The left side passenger seat door wasn’t shit properly so the handle didn’t go in. I was reversing out of the gate and the gate swing inside and the open handle hot caught in it and snapped. The cover of the handle was intact, the inside plastic handle snapped. I put it snapped part in the cover and attached the cover to the intact part. What can i do and how much will it cost?

I love Frankie, she’s a normal person with flaws and quirks. But sometimes she gets a bit unlikable😭 her uncle’s funeral when mike wanted to go to the final four pissed me off. He would have never gotten a chance again to get free tickets she should’ve just let him go, especially since they weren’t even close to that uncle. Also the simple Christmas let your kids have some gifts once a year😭 she’s a great character but these two plotlines pissed me off on my rewatch

I walk my dog every evening. We talk the same route everyday since my locality is filled with stray dogs and this route has the least amount and the most docile ones. Today, the dogs were fighting amongst themselves. My boy is a year old and very boisterous, he doesn’t attack dogs but will bark and growl. As we were returning home, we were just around the corner and the dogs went rushing by. He tugged at his leash and squeezed his head out of the collar. He is freakishly strong to the point where i have to dig my feet into the ground to stop him from dragging me. He tan after the dogs and entered this abandoned lot where most of the dogs live. I ran after him while trying to call mg family but no one picked up. He rushed out of the lot immediately with 6-7 dogs surrounding him, one had the part above my dog’s hind legs in his mouth. I was on the opposite side of the road and i froze. My dog was trying to free himself, i lost a cat two years ago the same way, he was bitten at the exact place where the dog was biting my boy. I halted for few seconds not knowing what to do, a thought crosses my mind that it’s done. I got out of the trance and immediately rushed there and smacked the dog with my stick, which made all of them run away. My dog was scared and ran to our house. I feel extremely guilty that i froze and didn’t save him immediately. I hate how the thought that it’s over crossed my mind and i didn’t rush over. I know most people would find this childish and stupid but i cant forgive myself for the delay

I saw a reel on Instagram that the government has invoked section 163 to stop the protest. Did a little digging and found out that section 163 prohibits gatherings of 5 or more people apart from weddings or funerals, creating an emergency like state. Now creators on instagram were rioting about how the government is stealing away rights and this is a dictatorship. A little more digging into the law told me that section 163 is invoked every time the parliament is in session for the last 5 or so decades. The law wasn’t selectively enforced for the protest but has been enforced for years during parliamentary sessions especially after the parliament attack. This law made the cjp protest entirely illegal. Before anyone comes at me, i fully believe that the education “minister” should resign. The government needs to show accountability and some backbone instead of hiding like cowards. This is just a psa that don’t believe everything on the internet without research, whichever party of side the claim supports
