At the end of the day, I personally ain't letting the design of the shell dictate the possible longevity with the console.

It's more about the games that I care about on the platform, than the machine itself. I know Slims and E's are currently seeing an influx of failures recently. So I do take that into account as well.

And also the Slims are seemingly more moddable, as far as I can tell. Depending on the board version.

But are folks really avoiding newer E's with possible less mileage (pre-owned usage/years old) just because of a few port connections (video, USB) and shell differences?

And if it is toast, will that effect it receiving any possible future updates?

I've been considering selling this thing. But for a measly couple hundred bucks or whatever the going rate is feels like a very stupid decision the more I think about it.

That little amount of money isn't gonna make or break my bank one way or another. I still play it. It's been cleaned and repasted. Works like a dream. Relatively quite.

Am I crazy? I should just keep it, yeah?

Once you see how often sharks are just within a stones throw from you underneath, nah. I'm good. Don't care about "the odds" or any other defense that tries to downplay this.

I ain't doing it anymore.
