Has anyone tried making a city with one road?

No, I’m not talking about one straight line, I mean you start in one corner of the map (infinite money is preferred) and go down to the bottom corner, turn sharp right, go up, turn sharp left, go down, repeat until you have no room.

Do zoning for industrial, commercial, and residential as needed. No intersections for U-turns. Miss your turn? You have to go to end of the road, across town, U-turn, and go back.

Would it work?

For those who know WW2, can you answer this for me?

I’m making a WWII creative map (not based on any battle in particular) and I need help knowing what the Fortnite equivalent of these guns are.

Allied guns: M1 Garand, Lee-Enfield No. 1 Mk. 4, Colt M1911, Browning Automatic Rifle (BAR), Winchester Model 1912, Thompson M1919, M3 Grease Gun

Axis guns: Kar98K, MG42, MP40, Luger P08.

If you have other suggestions, comment and let me know.

If I were to go to Key West, should I catch the Key West Express ferry in FMB?

I did the research and it’s about $300 round-trip and it’s about a 3.5 hour journey one-way. However, there’s only one per day. Departing FMB at 8 AM, arriving at Key West at 11, departing Key West at 6:30, arriving in FMB around 9. And how much stuff is there to do in Key West, I’ve never been. Is it enough to see in that ~5 hour period between ferries?

What’s your best Universal experience?

Back in 2021, I went to Universal with my family. This was still in the heart of COVID restrictions so the park was mostly empty. In ONE DAY we rode all rides except for The Incredible Hulk (I was too short at the time and my dad didn’t ride out of solidarity), Storm Force Acceleratron (we didn't see it at all), Hagrid’s (too short), Flight of the Hippogriff (I believe it was out of order that day), Rip Ride Rockit (too short), Revenge of the Mummy (too short), Fast & Furious (closed due to COVID), and Gringott’s (too short).

All in one day, and it finished off with dinner at the world’s largest McDonald’s.

What are some recommended PC specs to run Autoation/Beam?

I don‘t own a PC but I want a PC to run Automation and BeamNG. I don’t need anything fancy, something that can run it at 60 FPS without detonating. What are the parts I need and would it be cheaper to buy the parts and build it or buy a pre-built?

Mexi Miglia Share Codes

Backstory: I created a 22.8 mile track called the Mexi Miglia. It takes inspiration from the Mille Miglia in Italy. There are four different versions of the Mexi Miglia (see image).

The versions are:

Vintage (1 lap, class: Vintage Racers): Cars include the Maserati 8CTF, Bugatti Type 35C, Auto Union Type D, etc.

Classic (1 lap, class: Classic Racers): Cars include the Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR, Ferrari 250 GTO, Aston Martin DBR1, etc.

Modern (2 laps, class: Extreme Track Toys): Cars include the Ariel Atom 500 V8, Bugatti Divo, Ferrari F50 GT, etc.

Open (1 lap, no car restriction): Cars include the Peel P50, Koenigsegg Jesko, and Renault Clio Williams.

What is your guys’ least favorite intersections to drive through in Lee County (not just FM, there was no LC subreddit)?

Mine are probably:

  1. 82 and Fowler/Evans (the one-ways which lead onto the Old 41 bridge: Not that bad at surface level but throw in the railroad crossing and it becomes a nightmare.

  2. Colonial and Ortiz (pre-renovation): Interstate traffic + Walmart traffic + other traffic = Nightmare. Even worse during morning/afternoon rush hour due to the nearby schools.

  3. Lee Blvd and Sunshine Blvd (Lehigh): No, just no. Hated going through it when I lived in Lehigh.

  4. The entire entry to Fort Myers Beach. First of all, you’re going downhill from a bridge (gravity is gonna naturally pull your car down), second of all, the road goes from 4-lanes to 2, third of all, tourists don’t know what they're doing, fourth of all, there’s a random light just for the trolley to pull off, make a stop, and get back on, fifth of all, a road is never open.

  5. 82 and Shoemaker (pre-sync). For the longest time, the two sets of lights at Shoemaker (north and south side) and 82 were not synced. One set could be Shoemaker red, 82 green while the other set could be Shoemaker green, 82 red and because the two sets were ~200 ft apart, it turned a simple signaled intersection into a 4-way stop with extra steps.

Anyone remember when the lights at Shoemaker and 82 were not synced?

For example: While the light on 82 is red to let the traffic heading south on Shoemaker go, the light at Shoemaker north was red so 82 traffic could go. It caused so many gridlocks and accidents due to one of the 82 lights being green and one of the Shoemaker lights being green and when there was a gridlock (not an if, it was never an if), it turned from a stoplight intersection to a 4-way stop with extra steps. It was also a nightmare for pedestrians.

Also. why does Shoemaker split into a northbound side and southbound side after the Edison light but comes together again before the Michigan light? Never understood it, never will.

For those who drive in that area frequently, what is your opinion on the Colonial/Ortiz/I-75 area after the remodel?

During the construction, it was a nightmare but now that it is over, I’m a pretty good fan of it.

Before the remodel, it was always in the news for accidents and I read somewhere that it was one of the most dangerous intersections in Lee County but afterwards, I haven’t heard much. A wise man once said that no news is good news.

Mazda NC Miata key replica

Bit of backstory: In Japan, Bandai Namco (yes, the same Bandai Namco that created Pac-Man) released a series of replica Mazda keys (they have RX-7 and Miata keys) in their Gashapon machines (similar to a gumball machine). Because they are Japan-exclusive, I thought I would never get my hands on one because I live in the United States.

Until a couple weeks ago. I was in Orlando for a vacation and went to a place called Ebisu. Towards the back, they have rows of Gashapon machines and they had that one. I paid $12 for the 4 tokens it needed (I didn’t get scammed, they go on EBay for similar prices), put the tokens in, spun the dial, opened the case, and got the NC key (I was hoping for the ND key but I’ll accept the other ones).

How should I convince my mom to get me a Twingo as my first car?

So, I live in the United States and obviously, the Twingo wasn’t sold in the States. I looked up how much it would be to import a Twingo from France and with the price of the car, imports, and insurance, it’s about $10K.

She doesn’t know cars, so much so that she thinks that all turbocharged cars are fast, no matter how many times I tell her that most turbocharged cars aren’t for speed, it’s for reliability and fuel economy. She says no if the car has a ”fast-sounding name” which means cars with excess letters and numbers (ex. GT). I showed her a picture of the Twingo (1993 model year, best Twingo year), she asked for the specs and I told her. She’s still deciding, a month and a half later. I still have about a year and some change before getting my unrestricted license but it’s better to have it now than later.
