Wingstop brownies

I am a Wingstop brownie lover. I love the chewiness and fudginess and I always add 1-2 with my order. I always order through the Wingstop app or DoorDash with either in store pickup or delivery. However, more often than not I’ve been having some brownie issues over the past couple of years with orders.

It’s almost guaranteed now that whenever add a brownie, something goes wrong. Yesterday I placed an order through the app with two brownies. I pick it up, go home, brownies are not there.

Today I tried my luck again, ordered from a different Wingstop restaurant. Added two brownies. Received only one.

In the past when I do in store pickups I’ll sometimes look in the bag to make sure they’re there, more often than not they aren’t so I go back in and ask about it. But lately I’ve been doing delivery so I don’t have that option.

Besides these most recent two times, there have been so many times in the past I’m missing the brownie altogether or I’m shorted one.

So what’s with the brownie situation? When a customer submits an order, is the brownie part like, easy to miss on your screen or receipt that prints? Does anyone else have this issue? Seems kinda odd that it happens at both locations near me.

Why does membership pull from front end to do their tables and promotions?

Every time we have the Citi card table up, or more recently the digital membership card promotion table up, membership pulls from front end. We are already short handed as it is. Do all warehouses do this? Also, lots of the front end people don’t even know how these promotions work. I think it would make more sense to have actual membership people promote membership things. They always set up the table far away from anything so when you need help or have a question, you have no one to ask because you can’t leave.

Tired of disturbing animal abuse posts showing up on my feed. Everything I do doesn’t make it go away

For the last several months I’ve been getting disturbing posts involving animal abuse on my feed. Whether it’s a news article talking about what a person did to an animal before being arrested, or just a picture of an animal in distress or being abused. Just right now I got a picture of someone I don’t even follow posting a picture of a glue trap with two dead mice on it, the post right after that was an article talking about a man and how he killed two kittens, describing how he killed them. I always hide these posts and mark them as disturbing, hoping the algorithm kicks in and realizes I don’t want to see this stuff but nothing seems to be working. I’m tired of it. As an animal lover I don’t need to see this shit first thing in the morning from people and pages I don’t even follow.

Is there something I’m doing wrong to get this crap off my feed?

Alexa suddenly won’t shuffle Spotify anymore

For over a year I could tell my Echo things like “Alexa, shuffle my music,” “shuffle,” or “turn shuffle on,” and it would shuffle whatever I was listening to on Spotify without any issues. I do this specifically with a single playlist I created.

Out of nowhere, it stopped working. Spotify playback itself is completely fine, I can still ask Alexa to play music, specific artists, albums, or playlists, and it does so normally. The only thing that no longer works is shuffle.
Every single shuffle command now gets the same response:

“I can’t shuffle music right now.”

I’ve already factory reset the Echo, unplugged it, unlinked and relinked Spotify, verified Spotify is my default music service, and nothing has changed.

It seems really odd because Spotify works perfectly otherwise. It’s only the shuffle command that has completely stopped functioning.

Has anyone found a fix for this, or is this just a bug with the Alexa/Spotify integration?

Does anyone else suddenly fall back into binge eating after months of doing great?

Over the past several months I’ve lost about 20 pounds, and for a while I genuinely felt like I had finally figured things out. I was counting calories every day, staying within my goal, and I actually enjoyed seeing the progress on the scale. I felt motivated, confident, and like this was finally becoming my lifestyle instead of just another diet. Then, over the past few weeks, something changed. I honestly can’t even tell you what triggered it. It’s like a switch flipped in my brain. I’ve started binging again, craving junk food constantly, and slipping back into the eating habits that caused me to gain weight in the first place.

The weird part is that I know what I need to do. I know how to count calories. But for some reason, I can’t seem to get myself back into that mindset I had before. Every day I tell myself “Tomorrow I’ll get back on track,” and then I end up repeating the same cycle.

I’m also scared to step on the scale because I’m worried I’ll see that I’ve undone a lot of my progress, even though I know avoiding it probably isn’t helping.

Has anyone else gone through something like this after months of doing really well? If so, what caused it for you, and more importantly, what actually helped you break the cycle and get back to being consistent?

Woke up to five random Amazon Prime refunds on my credit card.

I woke up this morning and noticed five separate refunds of $15.16 credited to my credit card. My banking app says they all came from Amazon Prime. I never requested a refund, canceled my Prime membership, or contacted Amazon. I have no idea what these refunds are for.

Has anyone else had this happen? Did Amazon make a billing mistake, or is there another explanation?

Edit: just found ANOTHER refund of the same amount in another card I have linked to my Amazon account. That’s $90.96 that has mysteriously appeared in my accounts overnight.

Lady thought I worked at Petco

This one is going to be short but one I’ll never forget. It was several years ago. I was at Petco, standing near the entrance waiting for my friend to be done checking out. I was wearing black sweatpants, and a big black hoodie with a big picture of Jack Skellington’s face in the center. All black, all sweats.

Lady comes up out of nowhere, points at me and asks if I work there. I’m flabbergasted. What part of me even remotely suggests that I work there?

Can’t make this crap up.

Made it to “one-derland”

31F, 5’8. After about seven years, and constantly yo-yoing up and down, this morning I saw the number. 199.3

It’s been so hard. Cravings, binging, excuses. But I decided to crack down and DO something after so long. Food no longer has control over me.

I am already feeling like a completely new person. I still have about 50 more to reach my goal. But no longer seeing that number 2 in front is a whole new kind of breath of fresh air. It’s almost hard to believe, but I made it. Milestone accomplished. 💪🏻

Just finished the season 2 finale and…. (spoilers)

Holy crap. That finale had me glued to the screen. Everyone coming together to stop the cannon from overloading while singing that breathtaking song. I watched everyone one by one coming together and working as a team and each one made me more happy.

Once the main group got together, and after the other overlords came, I was thinking “this would be perfect if Val and Velvette came together and helped too” but then I was like nahh… they’re probably off hiding somewhere and want nothing to do with it. But then I saw how they decided to join in and when I tell you I literally smiled ear to ear…. I haven’t grinned that hard in a long time.

Then Alastor and Rosie came too which was the icing on the cake. Love how everyone contributed and sang and came together….

I do have one question that I’m still confused about. When it showed Alastor and Rosie right before they helped out, what were they singing about? Rosie was asking why Alastor wasn’t helping them and he said he doesn’t work for free. Then they just sang about each other and whatnot, what was the turning point that made Alastor decide to jump in? I couldn’t follow along that part.

Anyway, I cannot wait for season 3 (and the next season of Helluva Boss for that matter). I’m so glad I finally decided to watch the series. I’ve seen the pilot on YouTube numerous times and finally decided after several years to watch the series and holy shit. What a work of art. 🌈💖

Where are my fellow 30+ fans at?

Hi! 31f here. Just got into the show recently and currently in the middle of season 2. I’ve seen the pilot numerous times but never decided to go forward with the series until now. Loving it so far! I especially love the saturated and rich colors, and the animation style is beautiful and unique as well.

I already finished Helluva Boss which I also loved, so now it’s onto Hazbin. My favorite character so far is definitely Charlie, she’s so cute and I love her design. I even went out and got a Funko Pop figure of her to add to my collection. And the music and songs in the show? Amazing!! So far my favorites are Whatever It Takes and More Than Anything. Simply beautiful and both gave me goosebumps.

Anyway, wondering where my fellow 30 year olds and up are? Leave a comment!

Gold star member mentality

I work at Costco, and this morning I was stationed near the entrance, so I had a front row seat to everything happening at the front doors. We open at 9 for Executive Members and 10 for everyone else, and today was absolute chaos.

Starting well before 10, there was a steady stream of Gold Star members walking up expecting to be let in. The employee working the entrance door, an older gentleman who has always been polite and professional, must have repeated the same explanation hundreds of times. He calmly told people they would need to wait until 10 and reminded them that the membership hours are clearly posted right outside the entrance. You’d think that would be the end of it, but nope. So many people got nasty, snarky, argumentative, and downright rude over having to wait a few extra minutes. Some rolled their eyes, some acted like the policy was a personal attack, and others tried to argue that they should be allowed in anyway. The poor guy stayed surprisingly patient, but you could tell it was wearing on him.

At one point, one member became so difficult over waiting literally ten more minutes that the door employee asked me to call a manager for backup because the guy just would not let it go.

Then 10 finally hit. Instead of everyone just walking in, several Gold Star members started sarcastically cheering as if they’d survived some great injustice. One woman dramatically waved her white card in the air and said, “Wow, such a privilege to finally be allowed in,” with sarcasm as she walked through the door. All of this…over waiting a few extra minutes.

I understand being disappointed if you didn’t realize the hours had changed, but taking it out on the employees standing at the door who have absolutely no control over the policy is wild. They were just doing their jobs.
I’m curious if other Costco warehouses are seeing the same thing since the new Executive shopping hours started or if today was just unusually rough.

Nature’s armored giants enjoying the shrubbery.

In central Florida. The big one in front I actually rescued from inside my job, I was the only one not “afraid.” 🫶🏻

I know these guys aren’t great for the environment but they sure are beautiful.

Crow imitating owl sound

Not the best video but my friend and I kept hearing an owl sound in the tree above us but it was daytime and couldn’t find the owl. Lo and behind there’s a crow imitating it! I know crows can mimic noises but never heard one do it like this in person. Short video but super cool to hear!

Greyhound hand towel!

Found this adorable greyhound hand towel at Kohl’s and had to get it. I guess it could also be seen as a whippet or Italian greyhound but it’s okay. I don’t have a greyhound myself but they are one of my favorite breeds! Just wanted to share this cute find.

Hit a milestone this morning

31F, 5’8

Stepped on the scale this morning and saw 212 lbs. My highest weight was 274 lbs, so I’m down 62 pounds. What makes this feel like a big milestone is that it’s the lowest I’ve weighed since moving to Florida about 5 years ago. I was still around the 220s when I lived in California, so seeing 212 this morning was a pretty cool moment. It’s funny because when you’re losing weight gradually, you don’t always notice how far you’ve come. Then one day you step on the scale and realize you’re seeing a number you haven’t seen in years.

I’m still working toward my goal, but today feels like one of those milestones worth stopping and appreciating for a minute.

Just wanted to share because I’m pretty excited about it. 🙂
