📝 Shelter Notes:

Behavior (painting in kennel overnight, pulling covers inside of kennel, scurried in circles to avoid handler, thrashing when wrapped in blanket, he escaped the handler's hands and ran to hid in multiple places)

Several dogs that continues to come into her yard. States all medium in size and various colors. Dogs are under the home,

but come out throughout the day and night.

8/12/2026 INTAKE

Rooster painted in kennel over night as well as pulled in cover that was hanging on the outside of kennel. As I went in to

leash pup scurried in circles to avoid me, I was able to leash and used a towel to carry and pup was trying to thrash when

doing so. I placed in the temp kennel in south nursery but when coming back to retrieve pup he escape from the opposite

and began running and hiding in multiple places each time I would go to pup he ran to a different location to go hide. I

was able to finally leash and use the towel to carry back to kennel. Once placed insdie he ran to his bedding and began to

tremble.

08/16/26 16:53 Very timid, tense when approached. Cowers away when entering kennel to spot clean, placed treats but

did not touch them until after leaving kennel completely.

Rooster is trembling on bedding and cowaring in kennel . When attempting leash puppy up he began to tremble. I had to

use a blanket and carry and pup was trying to thrash. I had to plaqce in the temp kennel in order to clean kennel. When

going back to leash dog was trying to go under and hide. I was able to leash and use the blanket to carry back to kennel.

📝 Shelter Notes:

8/5/26: Vinny greeted staff with a wiggly body and wagging tail. He was easy to leash and walked out on a loose leash. In the runs, he found another tennis ball and happily played with it before walking back to his kennel on a loose leash.

8/6/26: Vinny was vocal during morning feeding and cleaning. When staff approached, he greeted them with a wiggly body, high wagging tail, and soft open smiling mouth with a loose tongue. Once leashed, he walked on a loose leash going in and out of the building.

8/8/26: Vinny was quietly lying at the front of his kennel. When approached, he displayed a loose body, wagging tail, and soft closed mouth.

8/9/26: Vinny greeted staff with a high wagging tail and loose body. He was easy to leash and walked nicely on a loose leash. Outside, he enjoyed playing and running along the fence with a tennis ball in his mouth before returning to his kennel on a loose leash.

8/10/26: Vinny came to his kennel door with a wiggly body and wagging tail. He was easy to leash and walked to and from the runs on a loose leash.

8/11/26: Vinny greeted staff at his kennel door with a relaxed body and soft open mouth. He walked loosely to the runs, found a tennis ball, and happily played with it and with the dog in the neighboring run through the fence. He walked back on a loose leash and remained quiet and relaxed throughout the rest of morning cleaning and walking.

💖 Vinny is a playful, happy young boy who absolutely loves his tennis balls! He repeatedly greets staff with a wiggly body and wagging tail, is easy to leash, and walks beautifully on a loose leash. He has even shown playful interest in a neighboring dog through the fence. The kennel environment can make him restless at times, but outside he shines as a fun, affectionate, energetic pup who would love a home where he can play, exercise, and finally relax.
