Does anyone remember/know a fic where in the end Jon asks HR to send him a form for an assistant to quit but HR answers that "sorry there is no such form but I can send a form for assistant who stops working because they died"? It was just a small bit nearly in the end

Hi! This is your friendly reminder to check all possible links you added to your fics (like images' twitter's links) and see if they are still working

Today I think I've encountered maybe 10th non-working link for an fan-art that author provided... just to see it's already gone.

It's just sad, you know? The author clearly wanted to share something but they probably have no idea it doesn't work now.

So here is a reminder for you to go check it too!

Nothing hits harder than lines like that in the middle of seemingly straightforward pure-dirty-smutty-smut

What exactly makes Holmes such likable character for many people?

Sherlock Holmes was one of my favourite characters ever since I've read the books as a child. But I never thought *why*.

We have enough smart and eccentric characters in media who didn't get even close in terms of likability. I doubt he is *that* much relatable for so many readers/viewers to get them hooked because of it. Some people say that character becomes loveable as they grow and go through their character arcs towards their goal and stuff like that plot related. I don't think it's really a case here, Holmes' character stays more or less the same usually.

These are just few examples of my thinking process, of course there are much more aspects of what may make a character likable. And TBH writing and worldbuilding/character building are not my speciality, I don't very much about it.

So now I wanna ask you — why is Sherlock Holmes got such popularity among so many people? It's not a question about anyone's personal answer in specific about their *own* reason to like him but rather why is he likable for so MANY people

Spoiler question about "28: The Undefeated"

So did Arthur actually die there? Or was he injured and John managed to save him? (And I have some doubts it was possible for him to do it WITH DAMN HOOKS)

Kayne says that "Yeah, he is dead, I know Death" and some more like that. And he says he doesn't care about "the logistics" and it's John's responsibility to keep Arthur safe. But Kayne is a sleazy fucker and it's hard to know what he means and if he is sincere.

Or did he die and got little help from the Manager with resurrection and Kayne just didn't pay attention to how Arthur was no longer dead after that?

"Nothing can surprise me", I said. "Hold my beer", AO3 replied.

"Not just few crackfics but this much?? WOW". But then I thought about it and this ship now sounds VERY intriguing

Yeah these long-tags-sentences are good for description and explaining how your fic can be perceived differently etc etc

But it's impossible to find your work when you search specifically for platonic relationship fic. These little explanations are not helpful even though that's what you kinda trying to do here

And it's the same with anything like that, when you mention "it can be read as such" but don't put separate tag for it — PLEASE do

Tbh I am especially curious if there would be any suggestions for Soviet/Russian movies by people from non-post-soviet countries.

I'm Russian and I know well enough people's opinions about such movie "from the inside" but I have no idea which movies people like who are "from outside"
