The best alternative to chrome for Android?
Hi,
I'm seriously considering purchasing an OM-D EM10 Mark 2 and was reading a lot of reviews about this beautiful old lady.
I was thinking about using it with the default settings... and then I read this guide:
https://robinwong.blogspot.com/2019/11/robin-wongs-om-d-cheat-sheet-updated.html
Which seems to get the most out of the camera.
Are any of you using these settings as Robin suggested?
Thanks a lot.
What do you think about switching from a Lumix GF2 to an Olympus OM-D EM10 Mark 2?
I know both are outdated, but the latter has a ton of features and still seems superior compared to the later ones.
I'm thinking of buying my first smartwatch, but I'm really not sure whether to go with the classic BIP 6, which is small, comfortable, and lightweight with lots of features, or go with a OnePlus Watch 4, which has Android Wear and many more features. What do you recommend? I know that the Bip 6 has a long battery life, but the OnePlus Watch 4 has the full Android system, which seems interesting (payments, various health monitoring). Then it also depends... who will be more accurate? Thanks.
Hi everyone,
Do you know if the USB ports can be used to watch MP4/MKV videos?
Or are they blocked and therefore unusable?
Thank you very much.
Ciao a tutti,
Hi,
I noticed that this setting is enabled by default in the Client Management section:
- Client Compatibility Mode
This says:
When enabled, allows communications with the client management software via an unencrypted port to increase compatibility.
Do you think it's best to disable it for security reasons?
I'm unsure which version of the BIP 6 to get.
The black one seems very common...
The charcoal one looks the prettiest with the shiny silver bezel.
But what about the red version? What color is it? I can't tell if it's gold or silver.
Thanks
P.S: i see that a lot of store don't have bip 6 available... there is some problem with the watch?
Hi,
this will be my first smartwatch... do you suggest to buy a BIP 6 or Amazfit Active 3 Premium?
P.S: i'm evalautaing the Huawei Fit 5 Pro or the Fit 5 but a lot of people tell me that the app and the software is not at the same level of Amazfit. (true?)
I'm considering purchasing an Amazfit Bip 6, but I wanted to know something about the colors.
Aside from black, aren't the other colors—RED, BLUSH, and STONE—exactly the same?
Alternatively, I've seen charcoal, but it seems impossible to find.
What do you think?
Hi,
i need a new camera and my question is basically if buy one that have a battery or go with a normal camera with power usb?
Il mio dubbio riguarda la perdita di protezione in caso di black out
Do you think it's okay to have a doorbell from one company and a camera from another? Or is it better to unify the entire ecosystem?
Thanks
Hi, I need an advice about the management of 2.4 and 5 GHz band.
My new modem-router by factory use the same SSID for the WiFi but in my old time I remover that it's better separate band to prevent compatibility issue and random disconnection.
What do you suggest?
It's true that it's better not use some character in the SSID name (and the same for the password) because sometime there are problem with connection?
Thanks a lot!
Hi friends,
I need a single camera (with microSD), i read a lot about ezviz, Imou, eufy, relink, tapo etc...
My question is very simple, my old Yi camera died and I need a new one that allow:
24 h surveillance
If possible manual siren/light if I turn on via the app.
Good ecosystem and good security
No unbranded or unknown camera
What do you suggest?
I read that EzViz is a very good brand, can you confirm or it's better stay away?
I admit that I m so confused, I want the best camera and best security for the same price tag.
No axis or other super $$$$$$ camera.
Thanks a lot
I want to buy my first smartwatch and was thinking about the Amazfit Bip 6, which many people speak highly of.
Alternatively, I also saw the Huawei Watch Fit 5 and the Pro, which is even nicer.
But the question is this:
- Is there anything in the same price range that's better than the Huawei?
- Compared to the Amazfit Bip 6, is the Huawei really superior?
I've seen so many Amazfit models, but I don't know which to choose... other than the Bip 6.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks
I should point out that I don't have any active cloud features or subscriptions with EZVIZ.
Well, today I formatted my microSD card to clean it up and tried connecting it to my PC.
Old videos reappeared as soon as I reinserted it...
I reformatted it both from the PC and then from the app.
I reread it on my PC.
The videos reappeared.
How the hell is this possible?
I cleared the app cache and the app's internal memory, but to no avail.
It would be very serious if unauthorized videos were saved online.
I really can't figure out one thing.
I bought a DP2C doorbell, and during setup it asked me to set a password to encrypt my videos/photos.
Well... how come if I remove the microSD card and put it on my PC, the videos can still be viewed with VLC?
Isn't that a contradiction? Or maybe I just don't understand what they mean by encryption...
Hi,
I've read good things about Reolink cameras, especially since I've been told the firmware is updated frequently (which is very important for security).
I wanted to ask. A friend told me you can use the app without an account and pair the camera with the app with a simple serial/QR scan.
But doesn't this reduce the device's security?
Can you explain and confirm if this is actually possible? What features do I lose if I pair without an account? Only the cloud part on the website? (Which I don't actually want to minimize the attack surface.)
So far, I've only had Xiaomi and EZVIZ cameras, which all required an account, and I'm trying to figure out which is better in terms of security, updates, and protection.
I know it would be better not to connect them to the internet, but in this case, I don't have many customization options due to my very basic router.
Thanks
I'm thinking of switching from Linux Mint to Cachy OS.
Why?
Linux Mint uses really outdated packages, starting with LibreOffice, which I use a lot.
How are you finding stability over time?
My concern is that over time it may experience unexpected downtime due to the nature of Arch rolling updates.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks
I'm evaluating to switch to Tuta, but I see that notification are not reliable.
I turned off power management and disabled all the kill switch from my Android phone but nothing change.
If I open the app it sync and show alla the email, but after some time if I receive a new email it not notify me and I can see only if I open the app.
Do you have similar problem?
Thanks a lot
