Trump seemed right and I thought it should only be the world leaders.

has anyone heard of francine of freeport hospital?
My grandma was at Grand River Terrace at the former Freeport Hospital today when she saw a completely solid-looking, middle-aged woman in a black nurse uniform. The woman looked directly at her, pointed at her, and repeatedly motioned with her finger for her to come closer while saying something my grandma couldn’t understand. A nurse nearby told my grandma that it was Francine and that she was a spirit. Has anyone else heard of or experienced sightings of Francine at Freeport?
I can't understand why ancient doors were so big
Is it still a thing?
......
Whole wall = no obvious weak spot
No weak spot = harder to break through
Harder to break through = safe.
Or
Castle entrance = survived centuries
Survived centuries = probably built properly
Built properly = safe.
Or
Tiny person = door is enormous
Enormous = someone spent a lot of money on it
A lot of money = they probably didn't cheap out on security.
She grabbed a random street kitten to fight mouse in her house
I am back!!!!! and Our Archives Are Back Thank You, Everyone🥹
Yesterday our mods shared the unfortunate news that my account, u/Front-Coconut-8196 had been suspended, It was one of the most stressful moments we've faced as a community, I genuinely thought that months of work thousands of historical archives, photographs, and countless hours of research and curation might have been lost forever
Today, I'm incredibly relieved to say that my account has been restored
Even better, **all of our posts have been restored as well 🥹**Seeing our archives return is honestly one of the biggest reliefs I've felt in a long time
I want to sincerely thank every single one of you who offered support, reached out, commented, shared advice, and stood by us during this difficult time, a special thank you also goes to our moderation team for stepping up posting about the situation and helping me navigate it.
Now that everything has settled down, I'd like to revisit something many of you brought up while my account was unavailable
A lot of you suggested that we should have backups of our archives so that years of work are never at risk again After what happened, I couldn't agree more....
We've already uploaded a portion of our collection to Instagram, but community interest there has been fairly limited, so I don't think it's the ideal long term home for our archives
We've also been working toward building an ArchiveOfHumanity website and We believe this is ultimately the best solution but progress has been slow as you know... building and maintaining a proper archive takes time, technical work, and funding Until now, we weren't sure how much interest there would be from the community in supporting such a project
So I'd like to ask all of you -:
What do you think is the best way to preserve ArchiveOfHumanity for the long term?
Would you prefer:
A dedicated website with a searchable archive?
A public archive on another platform?
Multiple backups across different services?
Something else entirely?
If you have ideas, experience with digital preservation, web development, or archiving, we'd genuinely love to hear them!!!!
this experience taught me something important:- while Reddit is an incredible platform for sharing history, no single platform should be the only home for years of preservation work
Thank you once again for believing in our mission.. we came very close to losing a significant part of what we've built together, and getting it back has only strengthened our determination to preserve humanity's history for generations to come
Here's to the next chapter of ArchiveOfHumanity
This clip from BBC Breakfast lives rent free in my head
> "I don't like ice cream, Hannah" – Naga Munchetty
Did anyone see this live? The segment/story about ice cream itself is innocuous, but Munchetty's response seems so cringe, and with Stayt's reaction it almost feels like an outtake/parody even in the world of breakfast television. The outrageousness is probably why this clip still lingers in my consciousness.
What do you guys think?
I'm convinced nothing will ever be as beautiful as the costume design in The Sissi Trilogy
These movies were my introduction to period dramas. They will always be in my heart.
I want this dude around when they come 🧟♂️
This is exactly what Costco Canada needs
Well can confirm this was not at my local Costco, but I would be all in!
