Hard to get into the game?

Just wondering going in basic, doing something really basic like mining or taxi, trading, etc building up credits getting new ships, kind freelancer style. How hard is the game?

I tried many many years ago, but it was quite grindy and I think was early days lot of bugs and such.

I would be using mouse/keyboard a lot.

How is Surviving on the Planet these days go?

Been a while since I played. I enjoyed played on the planet, but sometimes I kind of really sucked at it. Was hard to find the ores, and really build up and get off it. Was fun, but also sometimes I wish it was slightly more casual / arcade not overdone. But this was also the more early days as well plagued with a lot of bugs especially physics bugs that ruined your day haha.

Wondering if much has changed?

How many months does the 30 minutes for Bluelink to activate take?

Got a used car from the dealer and of course they messed up with a lot of things, but finally got to activate it via the car / phone. Says it takes 30 minutes and this was days ago. Am I going have to sit here on the phone like it's the 90's to get someone to fix it?

If I create videos like a Let's Play, etc is there some do's and don'ts due to it being private server?

Just wondering if there any kind of takedown issues, or worries or as long you're not selling something or showing how to hack/modify the client / assets I assume I should be fine?

Buying a Used 2023 Palisade Calligraphy in Canada and it feels like I'm scamming them on the Warranty offer... 200,000km, 10 years for pretty much everything but wearables?

Is this normal? Why does it seem so cheap there was 2 options I think 4k and 5k both for 200,000km and 10 years it's a 2023 has 100,000km on it... I am happy with it, but damn this seems like a dream... It seems to come with labour and parts you just bring it in if there is an issue?

What if I want to get brakes done and such, can I still bring to my own mechanic or is that maybe where you get screwed?

Sat in a 2023 Palisade Today. My Fat was being eaten by the side trim or bolsters or whatever their called. Anyone else had this issue? Does on get use to it?

Little worried this might end me haha. I feel like couple years ago when I tried the santa fe it might of also had a similar design / feel.

I'm right now driving 2012 for escape.

Just wondering about people's experiences, maybe even tips and advice? Went about 3 months ago, got tired of all the bugs and issues with Windows. Happy camper.

Been years since I look into this wondering how MMO/RPG Style Servers have gotten since the Start?

So the biggest question here is how things have improved. At the start most servers had some scripts, but Roleplaying was a big part of it. The time I mostly played was the Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, heavily scripted, but even then you had to still RP heavily because of limitations and such.

I'm wondering if that has changed a lot now? I was more interested doing silly stuff like farming, earning money, getting new cars, maybe lurking around the corners watching cops / baddies get into a fight... I treated more like a MMORPG if you know what I mean. Enjoyed that a lot, but like I said scripts had limited a lot in the early days.

I'm wondering if that is a issue these days.

PS: I'm on Linux these days, not sure if that will shoot my in the foot or not.

I automated Cetane-Boosted Diesel with Single Block Machines...

I have a feeling this is going a little too far? Sounded like most people think this was a bad idea not using the multi blocks and I'm sure it was, but I wanted to wait till I got to the PDIM! Have not launched the rocket yet.

After 10 Years of playing GTNH I finally crafted a Rocket lol.

I have been running GTNH Servers and playing GTNH for 10 years. I Have gotten to HV I think 4 times, Crafted the NASA Worktable 3 times and Crafted the Rocket today for the first time.

I have well over 10k hours in GTNH, and I have never launched a rocket or been to space or past HV before.

What should one bring to space for the First time once their Rocket / Gear is Ready? First time in 10 Years!

I know the wiki has some info, but I wanted to hear from players. This also 2.9 if there possible new items / features might want to do.

I don't want to just go there once either and never go back. I like kind taking my time making a small base, etc. So maybe things I need for a base to survive up there be awesome as well.

This will be the first time in 10 years I have gone to space. I always quite at HV I think mostly cuz I keep trying automate things like Teflon, do too much magic, etc and burn out. I think instead I should go to space launch a rocket and USE AE2 to help me do things like Teflon from my understanding much easier for automation loops and such.

Either way any info be amazing.

Anyone else hate taking down old setups so instead you make EBF's lol?

So I finally hit HV and Made my Vacuum Freezer and I was really hating / debating on upgrading my 2-3 Steam EBF's that are HV Powered with Kanthal Coils... Instead upgrading them to Diesel EV / Nichrome Coils I was like screw it... Built 2 more EBF's that will use the new power Source.

PS: My entire Base to the end of MV is powered by 3 Railcraft full size HP Boilers, 2 Large Steel Boilers, 2 Large Bronze Boilers, and 32 Advanced Solar Boilers that I actually just retired (did not need them).

I wanted to for fun and overkilled it just fine Steam till the Start of HV even though had Automated Light Fuel in LV and Diesel in MV, I just enjoyed steam a lot.

I also used Huge Dark Steel Fluid Pipes that does 111k Steam throughput!

I had a lot of fun with it.

PS2: all the Boilers were diamond powered fueled thanks to CropsNH Thanks to those Diareeds!

PS3: Yes I'm not the biggest wallsharing fan at least with more tight setups like the EBF. I love making resources and wasting resources.

I really hated Crowded Cleanroom, so this my first Cleanroom I'm starting with.

I really hate crowded cleanroom to work in, so I decided to go with a 7x7x13 tall clean room. Has a false floor with 3 air gap for cable management, and such as well.

I wanted a small view as well to look out while working.

LifeLabs facing shortage?

I go in every couple of weeks for blood work for medical reasons and a urine sample as well. The tests for Blood work mostly came in within 12 hours or so if I go in the mornings, now their taking over 24+ hours sometimes 2 days. (pattern is growing)

My one urine sample use to be about 3-4 days takes time on it they culture it or something I assume either way now it's up to 7-8 days.

It's gotten so bad, that the Kidney Clinic now has us get the blood work done 2 weeks in advanced before appointments, but it's annoying to the Specialists because the info is so outdated now, but by the time they get the info, nurses files / preps it, they were actually not able to get it in time doing it 1 week in advanced.

I'm just wondering if there been any public info / news about Lifelabs having shortages, cutbacks, or what has been going on.

Lots of Anxiety Car buying, not great at it. Any decent dealers for suggestion?

Trying find a decent size car for my wife and I (I drive she does not). Were both 6 Foot 2", I'm on the quite larger size for now hopefully not forever till my medication treatment is over.

Looking for something with 7 or so seats. Love to have Captain in the middle for comfortability.

I like SUV style or at least raised high enough to slide in and out without the need to duck, for both my wife and I mostly for her disability as she uses crutches and has very little body strength. Mine ones again temp from the drugs for my treatment.

I tried smaller car like Rav4, but it seems a bit too small for us did not meet the seat requirement anyways.

It would be nice if it came with 360 view, blind spot cameras, etc for safety as we also have a little one.

I was thinking a Used maybe 3-5 year old Palisade Seems the price about right 30-35k...

I kind of like the car and the idea the reviews and even mechanic reviews don't seem terrible, mostly some the shocks can get a bit expensive cuz self adjusted ones, but overall seems like most repairability is similar to other vehicles.

It's no Toyota but then your looking at like another 10k+ for something like a Highlander.

Cars are really bad place right now $$$, but I guess everything is really.

But once again the issue here is the whole anxiety, haggling, all the crap I hate and actually is very medically bad for me with my current medical condition. We don't have the family support for this unfortunately.

Suggestions on possible dealers be great. I can't leave town far my current mechanic suggests staying with in Barrie with my Car LOL. Good guy, said the end of my vehicle is now. Fist holes on the body, AC shot, lots of damage, it's scrap metal sadly at this point. Right now I drive a Ford Escape 2012 to give you an idea.

Thanks.
