My plants are so confused this year. A few of the Trident maples lost their initial leaves this year, same as last year, due to an early heat wave and then cold snaps. Half of it has fall colors. And now after a false spring some new buds are failing.
A couple of the tropicals don't like it either. Getting down to 55 or so. Most the plants are ok but I'm tempted to build a cold frame or something as bringing inside is not an option really.

Infection started last year and spread fast. Tried to treat it but this year's growth started to show signs of mites.

All the leaves had damage and I did like this trunk but I'm not holding my breath. Decided to leave a few that appeared to not be affected vs removing everything.
TL;DR: Verizon offered me a “free” Pixel upgrade with no trade-in required but charged me instead of applying credits. My partner traded in an iPhone, Verizon sent an email confirming receipt, then acted like it was never returned and billed us like we bought two phones. After nearly seven hours, multiple reps, and one accusing me of lying and stealing I proved both issues and got two months credited. The next bill added a $650 early cancellation charge even though we cancelled nothing. Another two-hour call brought conflicting answers and credits. I escalated and requested call audio, and I’m leaving Verizon after eight years.

Last year I got offered a free upgrade with no trade in. Yes I know it would have just been a credit for X months. So I upgraded my pixel and kept my old phone like they said.

A few weeks later my partner got an offer to upgrade his iPhone with trade in with credit each month towards the upgrade purchase. We send it in and I have the email confirmation.
​
A few months go by and I notice my bill is high. Looking into it they had been charging me monthly for the upgrade and not a credit. And they were double charging my partner for a phone that we supposedly never returned phone and the new. Ie it looked like we were getting charged for buying two phones.

So after almost 7 hours and multiple supposed managers I was finally able to prove we returned the phone and that my offer didn't include a trade in and was supposed to be a credit not a charge each month.
​
The first one accused me of stealing the phone, called me a liar and wanted me to go into a store to show the return receipt. And offered like 20 in credit. So that fueled me.
​
I kept pushing until they zeroed out 2 months of bills. That showed on the app. Then this months Bill comes and it says I cancelled a line early and owe 650. We didn't cancel anything it was their double charge being cancelled.

Spent another 2 hours on the phone with multiple people all telling me different things they can or cannot do. The 2nd person went on and on about how they have done the max credit and can't do more. That call drops and I call back to only have someone offer me more credit on top of what the lady said was the max they can do this billing cycle without escalation and waiting 2 to 3 months. Today Max was what they offered me last call but i wanted more for my two hours today.

The day my contact is up I'm so out Verizon after 8 years. I've escalated this and I'm asking for the audio of my calls but they have to "investigate" first lol supposedly they will call me back next week.

I definitely have noticed more this year, I know it's mating season so im pretty sure these are the same 2 that will come by at least once a day. Had as many as 5 or 6 back there at one time. Thankfully they leave the potted plants alone unlike those damn finches. Iv had two of those in my house.
Got them a couple months ago. Will do some clean up later in the summer but decent bonsai show score

Focused on setting the branches to angle down first and to lengthen up.

Trimmed a lot of growth today, it got really bushy and did branch selection. All of them might not make it to the final design.

Then added some wire to the branches.Now that they are a bit older they can handle shaping. Still very rough but the plan is a tree that got a bunch of snow weight over many years.
Had this pretty much since a sapling graft and have slowly exposed it more and more each year. This will likely be the last exposure.
​
But I'm still torn on the final plan. Originally it was to keep it shohin or even mame size but today a cascade style kinda struck me so I put in a plan B. This one has always been more of my experiment tree lol
