The roots, on the outside, were great but terrible growth. Dug a little deeper into the center under the main trunk line in the center and found the problem.
Turns out it was rotting. Cleaned it up and gave it a few heavy doses of fertilizer.... And bam.
Can we just do bottle porn on Sundays or change the rules finally? It's not like we get millions of posts here a day. Posts with photos should just require mod approval like other subs

Experiment I started a few 3to4 years ago.
The lower trunks are pretty much fused together but some of the upper sections still need more time.
A few more years and this trunk should be gnarly

Some nice growth patterns on this lil guy. It's the one on the left in the second image.
It put out a foot or two of vine a few months ago but I looked away for a day and bam...new vine... And even stronger. Just when I think these guys are done for the year they push.
My larger one has been dormant for a longer than usual so fingers crossed
Maiden stole the show. Notes and flavors seemed like a 10 have highway. So much going on there. Really surprised by the eucalyptus, cedar notes and deep fruit leather. 2 hour plus decant. Definitely want to try more
Mayacamas might have been a very close second. Coravined on Friday, drank on Sunday. Extremely plush and well rounded. Soft tanins but still a bit of a grip and those luscious black fruit notes. Lots of boysenberry and black Berry.
Deep amber in hue, it offers wonderful aromas of mandarin, orange blossom, wax resin and a light adhesive scent. I was actually quite taken aback but the splendid delineation and life-affirming vitality of this example, hints of crème brûlée interwoven through the honeyed fruit, Clementine and hints of caramelised pear. It fans out wonderfully on the finish.
On the highway none the less. You could see his jaw shaking when I got closer.

After looking deeper at all the back budding I'm a little torn here with this one. What are your thoughts
Windswept? Bunjin? Shohin?
The main line isn't very flexible so I don't think I can add much movement. But tons of sck buds that could be branched out eventually. The uncovered the one side a bit to show that this side has more flare development

Thinking of bunjin obviously and to do some carving. Maybe keep the lower branch as counter balance.
