Like, I get that one bubble means that the other party hasn't read your text, but what is the difference between the two bubbles that are next to each other when they are blank/empty vs. when they are filled in/full?

Hi all! I am not a Scorpio, but I've been enjoying reading all of your posts and getting a feel for all of your different perspectives and things and I have a question because I know someone in my life who is responding in a very Scorpio-like way to things that I'm not very familiar with since I am not a Scorpio and I have no Scorpio placements, and actually a good chunk of Scorpio is in my 12th house, so it's just not an energy-style that comes naturally to me, though I don't typically mind it or anything.
ANYWAY, I have a friend who is actually a Virgo, but they have their Sun and mercury in the 8th house and Pluto in Scorpio trining their Moon and I have MY sun and mercury in their 12th house so even though I'm not a person who is typically "psychic" in any sort of dependable way, sometimes I can kind of pick up on things that they don't say but that they FEEL which is interesting for me since I can't really do that with anybody else.
Anyways, recently I felt out the fact that they seem to be jealous of the attention that I give other people, like they don't like that I'm nice to other people and it feels like they wish that I would ONLY be nice to them/they get all of my attention. Now some of that might be their Leo venus talking, but it felt very ~ Scorpio ~ to me and I wanted a second opinion from other people who might be able to relate to this feeling on what I should do about this, if anything.
Like, on the one hand I want to make my friend happy and feel valuable, but on the other hand I don't think that I want them to necessarily be able to dictate what I DO and how I interact with other people.
I've also had it happen in the past where sometimes I have been less outspoken or friendly with people and it's felt like they've taken that as a go-ahead to craft a certain narrative around either me or our friendship or whatever and then other people don't really know the truth/the difference since they haven't really TALKED to me though. Though, I know that they have been working on being a better version of themselves over the last few years, so that might not play-out again the way that it has before, but I am unsure.
Any thoughts?
