I used to sketch during my walks, but since my health has declined i'm practically housebound. So i decided i can still sketch and paint from where i'm at right now!
Not my best work, it's been a while and i forgot to take a pen outside with me, but it's better than not sketching at all.
I'm usually not very spiritually focused but i feel like i gotta ask this.
This is my grandpa, who passed away about 2 weeks ago after 8 long years with Parkinson's disease and eventually the related dementia.
I'm really wondering what happens to the soul or energy of people who had already lost most of their personality due to illnesses like dementia during their life. Are they themselves again as a soul, are parts of them or their energy lost already during life, or something else?
And do you sense anything from him at the moment?
Thanks in advance!
Hi everyone,
I'm really wondering what happens to the soul/energy of people with dementia, after they have passed. (Or even during life) Since they already lose their own personality during their life.
My grandfather recently passed, after 8 years with Parkinsons' disease and the related dementia. He lost his long-term memory quite early on, eventually lost his ability to talk, understand language, and just lost his whole personality eventually. In the end, only some little moments of a few seconds we would catch a glimpse of 'himself'. And then he would be lost again and staring into nothing.
In your knowledge/experience, do they return to themselves as a soul after they die, or are parts of their soul or energy lost forever due to the dementia?
Any info you'd like to share is appreciated, thanks!
I like survival games like Green Hell and Subnautica, story-based games like FireWatch and Kona, i've played the ANNO series but also like cosy games like The Leafy Corner.
Let me know what you think i'd like!

I have a question for those with hEDS or HSD.
What kind and how much sitting support and adjustments do you need?
I'm an ambulatory user with hEDS and Post-Covid / ME-CFS and the main reasons why i use a powered manual wheelchair when outside are dysautonomia and PEM, not my joints.
But i keep getting a painful lower back after 1 hour in my chair and they've already adjusted tons of stuff but nothing seems to help.
Did a fitting with a custom chair builder with my OT to find out what my body actually needs. (Which unfortunately won't get covered so i have to go with alternatives my supplier can provide.)
Apparently i need 9.5cm dump!? And the sitting, pelvic and back support that a lower body paraplegic person would need, to be able to sit up straight without unnessecary muscle tension in my back or falling forward when relaxing my body.. I know my body deteriorated a lot the last few years but i didn't expect it to be this much. Especially since i'm ambulatory..
- Lichte dosis anti epileptica
- Feliway
- Zylkene
- Vitaminedruppels tegen jeuk
- Plastic cones
- Kloos Kraag
Charlie is an ikea kitty which i might have assembled wrong.
And yes, that's her leg under her head.
Goodluck :)
Also, does anyone know how to remove the lighter streaks on the glass of the plum bottle?
I've noticed my nails growing wider over time. I assume that's because i kept cutting the edges too short and cutting the flaky skin on the sides of the nailbeds and cuticles.
I've been trying to cut my nails more straight and stop cutting the flaky skin lately and that seems to be working a bit, but will it be enough to get a more straight and slimmer shape over time?
What else can i do, or should i do something differently? As a guy i'd rather not wear shiny polish, but i'm willing to try other things!
(Yes i have to wear these silversplints daily and they do put some pressure on my cuticle and nailbed)

I never make things like this, but my old and cheap sneakers were supposed to be thrown away. My gf bought acrylic markers 'which you can use on everything' so ofcourse i had to try that out!
Not sure if i'd wear these myself, but it was fun to make and i think i'll give them away if one of my friends likes them.

Has anyone else had this issue recently?
I received a new golden Telstar base with minor imperfections but visible enough to contact Mathmos about it.
They acknowledged the problem and were happy to send a new base after i cut the cord of the first one.
I just received the 2nd base and this one also has an imperfection, looking like 2 little scratches where the paint didn't stick. Also at the front part near the logo.
I'll just turn the base/legs now i guess, I'm not gonna cut another base cord and ask for a 3rd one. But i have to say i'm quite disappointed... I expected Mathmos to have better quality (control) than this for the money you pay for it. :(
Got a quite expensive Mathmos lavalamp for my birthday, but there was a noticeable dent in the paint of the base right at the front.. I contacted them and they wanted to send a new base after i sent them proof of cutting the cord of this one.
I get it, they don't want me to resell it or to receive bullshit warranty claims, but this policy really disappointed me and sucks regarding sustainability and unnessecary waste.. It was functional, just not looking the way it should have been. I would have been happy to send it back and they could have just sold it with a mishap-discount or something.
Just wanted to share these.
Thyme-lemon 'cheese'cake and Chai-spiced mango tart. (With a bit too soft of a mango for a fancy display lol)
The recipes are from Nisha Vora and Niki Webster. Didn't even have to be altered!
They were DELICIOUS! I'm so so thankful for my girlfriend to find the fun and tasteful parts of dealing with my quite complex dietary restrictions due to MCAS.
My family even wanted to take the leftover pieces home. You wouldn't know they were Glutenfree and vegan by taste at all.
My gf decided she wanted to bake the cake/pie/tart for the birthday celebration with my family and twinsister. Thyme-lemon 'cheese'cake, Chai-spiced mango tart (of which the mango got a bit too soft for a fancy display lol) and i forgot to take a pic of the caramelized peach cobbler she made for desert.
It was DELICIOUS! Everyone even wanted a piece of both and a leftover piece to take home. You wouldn't know these were Glutenfree and vegan by taste at all!

Recipes are by Nisha Vora and Niki Webster by the way. Didn't even have to be altered!
