Purussaurus was a giant caiman that was the apex predator of Miocene South America 5 to 16 million years ago, was one of the largest crocodilians ever, and had a bite force stronger than a T Rex at an estimated 52,500 to 69,000 newtons, which it used to crush the bones of giant sloths, giant turtles, and other various large megafauna. So what character or creature is the weakest that could survive a full force bite to the head or a vital from this beast?

When watching Nolan’s Odyssey the Cyclops scene (best part of the movie btw) gave me major Attack on Titan vibes, Polyphemus (they don’t actually call him that in the movie but that’s his name in the Myth) mostly reminded me of a Pure Titan from AoT. So I’m wondering, if you gave Polyphemus knowledge of the Titan’s nape weakness, what is the strongest AoT Titan he could defeat? The fight would take place on Poly’s island.

I’m trying to get way more into the horror genre as a whole and see the movies I haven’t seen and play the games I haven’t played, but I know I won’t be able to play everything, as I have a gigantic backlog. What are some games that are more fun to watch someone else play than actually play? Maybe due to tedium or something like boring gameplay but good horror?

The other stuff is cool but I mostly want to play as a giant humanoid Kaiju monster and just fuck shit up. I want detailed destruction physics and fun Titan Vs. Titan combat. If this game has weak Titan gameplay then I’m not gonna buy it until it goes on sale for like 20 dollars.

The lovable giant simp gorilla vs the creepy man eating cave giant, who wins? Polyphemus hasn’t been blinded by Odysseus yet, battle is in a large cave big enough for both of them to fight in but still a bit cramped.

I’d love to try a good hunting game like this, and I heard it’s the best one, but I’ve noticed that this game has an amount of dlc and micro-transactions that rivals monster hunter games. I don’t know which ones are actually important or which ones are just useless fluff/cosmetics and I’d like to know if there’s a bundle that just has all the actual content. Thank you

I feel like almost every game I find myself playing I genuinely like or at least don’t think is bad or mid, at worst just not completely for me. The last game that truly disappointed me was Tears of the Kingdom as a huge fan of Breath of the Wild. I just haven’t had that many games where I’ve played them and truly disliked them.

Monarch season 2’s main new aquatic Kaiju is clearly inspired by HP Lovecraft’s fish god Dagon. Worshipping fishing village, eye symbol, sea god, the inspiration is clear. If these two sea gods were to do battle over who should be worshipped, who would win?

The Hastaventor is a fictional species of dinosaur from the Triassic period in the indie horror game Blood Mall. It is a Megaraptor like creature that has the ability to create keratin spears in its throat and shoot them out of its mouth, impaling people and terraforming its environment into a bloody mess. It is durable enough to take shotgun shots. The Night Feeder is another Megaraptor like monster from the show Primal. It is covered in a jet black tar like substance that is highly flammable, but the creature itself has incredible strength, being able to cut entire herds of ceratopsians clean in half with its claws, as well as gigantic redwood trees in a single swing from it’s claws. It also has superspeed and a shrieking roar that can stun it’s opponents. It is theorized to have werewolf like transformation abilities at night, appearing like a regular, small, harmless dinosaur (Compsognathus) during the daytime. If these two prehistoric monsters were to fight in both the Blood Mall and a forest during a full moon, who would win?

This question randomly came to my head. I don’t know how we would even know the answer, but I find it interesting that despite fear supposedly being a negative emotion, people enjoy it so much that we watch tons of scary movies, play scary games, read spooky stories etc. But there’s also the fact that we now live in a society where we mostly don’t have any “scary monsters” to fear, while our ancestors had to constantly be scared of things like saber toothed tigers, wolves, bears etc. So clearly actually being scared for our own lives isn’t fun, but the thought of fictional scary monsters appeals to humans a lot, and I wonder if any animals imagine things like that or would enjoy telling spooky stories to their packs if they could talk, even if there’s no way to actually know that.

I’m thinking Silent Hill, Fear and Hunger, Look Outside, the Amnesia games, maybe some Souls games. what else? Sorry if this post seems kind of low effort but I’m just wondering.

If this scene isn’t enough, this crocodile actually eats a dog onscreen in the scene right before this one, a line that most killer animal/monster movies refuse to cross. This movie was a banger, I recommend it to people who like killer animal movies and just wanted an excuse to talk about it, but I really wish the current Jurassic world movies were more like this.
