Why doesn't she look into Job Corps? They take in homeless people all the time and she'll have the opportunity to get a highschool diploma, drivers license, free access to laundry, free clothes, an allowance, and a certificate for a decent job all for free as well as shelter and food. They can probably provide her assistance to get free or extremely discounted dental care for her meth mouth. They obviously won't allow her to do meth, and she'll actually need to shower regularly (w/ soap) and practice decent hygiene, so I'll assume the program is out of the question for her, but I can see it making her quality of life much better. She literally has a shit ton of resources available as a homeless teen/young adult.

The center I'm at barely pays over 80 dollars a month, which for my lifestyle (I have a full skincare routine I'm into herbalism), isn't sustainable. I hate driving so doordash is out of the question. Are there any other ways to get a little bit of extra money?

Does anyone know the lore of this lolcow? She seems to be only discussed on the farms, where she has over 800 pages on her thread. Her thread is a decade old and still fairly active. After reading a few pages, all I really know about her is that she's overweight but lost weight due to heroin, regained that weight+more, has a rich dad, and spent all of her large inheritance on heroin. For her to be discussed this long, there has to be more about her that keeps farmers interested.

I've been getting better at it, but I am still struggling a bit. Admittedly , I was just caught gossiping telling a new girl at school to avoid a guy who is the boyfriend of someone I'm cool with. I didn't say he had a relationship, but he has a habit of approaching new girls and he has cheated on this friend once because of his habits. I don't support the relationship, but that's none of my business and I don't talk about the relationship itself (which I'm doing good of keeping to myself), but the one time I slip up by just talking about the guy I get caught. I'm now filled with so much guilt now. I said too much and I received the consequences. And yes, I did unfortunately tell her of a rumor that has been around before I was even enrolled here.

Since this girl was new obviously, I didn't know her character and apparently she's a huge gossiper and even makes up nonsensical rumors. She is now saying I am dating this guy I talk to once in a while (I have a boyfriend, but thankfully he's mature and doesn't believe everything. He also isn't at the school) as well as some other stuff probably.

I really want to keep my mouth shut, but it's so much harder said than done. Any advice?

I usually prefer loose leaf tea (I live in a Moroccan household.. we have green tea everyday) but I'm at Job Corp atm and unfortunately don't have access to a kettle or a nutritious diet. I have to go the tag bag route as well as eat whatever food they give me that doesn't have pork.

I've been getting the worst headaches since coming here. Do any of you guys recommend any tea bags with herbs to help stop these? I still drink coffee (instant now tho) so I don't think it's completely because of caffeine withdrawal

Obviously I know exercising isn't the cure all for BV and Yeast Infections, I'm taking other steps such as increasing my probiotic consumption via foods like Kefir, taking supplements, and making sure it's completely dry down there after showering. I was just wondering if doing these can help with preventative care in someone who has never given birth (they're usually recommended for postpartum women)?

I don't want to specify which program I'm at, since I know people in this center that also use reddit and have noticed a change in my behavior, but for you guys to understand this post better: it is a residential job center.

I've been living at this job center for almost a month now. During this time, there has been a rapid mental health decline on my part. But I need to stay here in order to get a stable job due to my financial situation not allowing me to afford even community college as an unmarried <24yr old.

Firstly, this center has VERY STRICT rules. Ones that had been guilty or almost guilty of breaking were bringing my face razor/dermaplane, cleanser with alcohol, supplements, air fresheners, bleach, Lysol, etc. Hygiene is a huge deal to me, and having to use body razors on my face has made me irritated. I also can't clean my room, especially the toilet with Lysol, how I'd like to- nor can I clean blood stains from my underwear. I am also a huge fan of taking supplements, and due to a past of Bulimia and current chronic infections, they have been a huge help in preventative care and overall health maintenance. Now I don't have access to them, and had already got an infection as a result of discontinuing my probiotic supplement as well as having to change my diet to the school food (which haven't been agreeing with me btw). No joke, the staff offered TYLENOL to deal with it. Thankfully they took me to express care after I talked to them a bit and I was able to get an antibiotic.

I noticed people here also gossip a lot which has made me much more anxious. Even the teachers would talk poorly of a kid who might just have autism or is very stressed (I hear judgement about fidgeting a lot). For me, when I'm stressed, I pace a lot. Now I'm afraid if someone catches me (I try to do it in private but stuff happens), I'm afraid I'll be talked shit about for a harmless coping mechanism. And if you're wondering, I don't have autism, just ADHD.

I also can't have my car nor can I leave campus without permission, which has just added to my overall anxiety.

I'm trying to find better ways to manage all of this, but unfortunately I sort of just see myself slipping into bad habits, including Bulimia. Any suggestions would be helpful.

I've been experiencing symptoms of heat exhaustion for the past few days. I'm in Job Corps and for over a week I had to stay in a room with no AC in 80-90 degree (fahrenheit) weather. I'm in another room rn with AC, but I still feel ill from the heat (can't eat much due to nausea, dizziness, fatigue, faster heart rate). They also ran out of Gatorade. Any suggestions for electrolytes? I go to the doctor in next couple of days and I plan to ask her to write in the note that I'm allowed to take them, and I doubt with these symptoms she would deny in doing so.

I know, old news but this is such as stupid decision from Olive Young to make us US customers not be able to shop from the global site. Yami literally has everything and better that Olive Young US wants to achieve. They sell sunscreen that didn't go through FDA reformulation, has fast shipping, cheaper, etc. Ive seen Ulta sell some Korean shampoos that Yami doesnt offer such as Rooton. There's no point in giving Olive Young US our money (imo).

There's so much drama here, so many strict rules (I can't dermaplane, have OTC supplements without doctor approval, can't leave without permission, etc), staff is a hit or miss (I asked, NOT EVEN TOOK THE BOTTLE OUT OF THE BAG BTW, about when I could take my ANTIBIOTIC and the front desk lady literally yelled at me as if I was a drug addict), drama everywhere (and I hated highschool), etc. I want to get into the medical field, but this environment just isn't it. I'm probably going to start having panic attacks soon due to my anxiety of not being welcomed. I'll probably fail the math tabe here so there goes my early-ish (6 months) estimated release date, not including advanced training in a separate center. I haven't even been here for 3 weeks.

I moved into Job Corps and literally my 2 other roommates agree she has BO. But unfortunately we were the ones getting in trouble for telling the RA. They said she showered often enough and that it was her pheromones. I don't quite accept that excuse but she's requesting a room change anyways.

As per what she said to the RA, she showers every other day. I personally find that nasty as well as my roommates since it had been at least 80 degrees fahrenheit for the past couple of days, she's a heavy smoker, works out, and we have absolutely no AC in our dorms. I personally got a new bottle of lotion because I feel like I need to shower twice a day in these conditions (I've been using Amlactin, which increases sun sensitivity). You can judge me all you want, but I don't place that expectation on others. I know people who shower once a day that are also residents in this school and they don't have BO like her.

She took a shower tonight after being angry with us and I sleep next to her (in a different bed). I still smell BO. How is that possible? Can pheromones actually smell that bad? Im so confused rn and a bit guilty if that's actually the case. I'm not too sure how she cleanses herself though.

I have a stinky roommate who I only saw take a shower once in the week we've been here. They also smoke.

Starting 2 days ago I've been struggling with a vaginal yeast infection. I have a history of suffering with them due to having an IUD, and the weather with no AC doesn't help. I was in real bad pain today, so I went to the wellness center expecting to just get some over the counter treatment.

Apparently (specifically vaginal) anti fungal creams aren't allowed to be given to students, which shocked me since vaginal yeast infections aren't exactly rare. And due to my center's rules, I wasn't able to go buy some over the counter antifungal cream at Walmart. Who tf is abusing Monistat 3 Day Treatment as if it were opioids? Worse of all, they offered me Tylenol as a substitute 😑

So I had to go to Express care for THREE HOURS. The nurse was super confused as to why I was just seeing her for a yeast infection. I got her to write a note, including permission to take vaginal probiotic supplements for preventive care. You'll think that's the end of it, right?

Nope! They took "to be excused from class" as in "be quarantined in the examination room"! So now I'm being quarantined as if I had COVID19.

I guess you get what you pay for. WTF is this.

I usually just go to Mountain Rose Herbs for all of my needs, but unfortunately they don't sell Carrier Fenugreek Oil. I was wondering if anyone knows of an American brand that sells legit fenugreek oil (I just don't want to spend $30 for shipping... No offense to India or Morocco)? A lot of the store fronts I see online I either had never heard of, show the oil being stored in a plastic bottle, and/or are from a too good to be true brand such as Dr Adorable & H&B Oil Center.

I love Lush but I need to be a bit more frugal with my money. I love the Olive Branch shower gel and the Peppermint Foot Lotion (the effects .. I hate the smell of peppermint), but together, excluding taxes, cost $72 for the largest sizes. Does anyone have any cheaper alternatives for these two products?
