Should I change the prices?

Should I change the prices?

I've listed my first collection for ebay auction but I'm not sure if the starting bid is too high? I accounted for at least 20% over my materials and time so I can at least make a small profit but I'm not sure if it seems outrageous for what it is. Any opinions appreciated.

A lot of the previous comments did say my selling price would be reasonable and they say if 30% of people say its too expensive then you're pricing it right but still not sure what I could be doing better to attract an audience. I promoted these online like mad for the past 2 months but it hasnt seemed to yield results 🫠

Just finished these this week

I went for a simpler look conpared to previous pieces as there were opinions that they were too cluttered

I made some fantasy relics

I think theyre pretty good as trinket trays or just general decor, I keep them on my bookshelf (among all the fantasy books 😆 where they belong)

Are there any Artist Alleys in the UK where there would be audience for something like these

Specifically London areas. I have tried looking online but there's minimal markets that show up. The ones that do show up in my area I find out about them too late. Sort of fantasy, whimsical, fair type alleys are what I'm looking for but any that would be acceptable to have these at would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Finished this duo today!

I dont know why the process for the black one went so smooth but the red kicked me in the face multiple times throughout. I had to step away so many times but THEY'RE DONE. Bedtime for me now. Please do enjoy some new fantasy relics

What do you think of this trinket tray as a gift?

A friend is graduating and whimsigoth is her style so I made her a custom piece as a gift. I have a few more pieces in similar styles, red pink and purple so I'm wondering if I should make more?

The first piece of my collection

You guys really liked my previous post, so I thought I'd share the first ever completed piece I made that got me hooked on this art style. I fear I will never top this

Would love advice on the finishing touches for this trinket tray

I've been staring at this too long and was also indecisive working on it this morning too.

So there's a few things going on...

  1. 1st pic. Does it all look cohesive? I tried to stick to roses throughout but is there anything from those elements I should remove? One complaint I got about my previous pieces is that there is barely any space for trinkets so I am actively trying NOT to add too much. Also another complaint was there's too much clutter and different styles in the elements so I kept it strictly roses this time.

  2. Should I leave the wood grain plain, or paint it black, or use white crystals (only colour I have that would go here) like on my other trays and pieces? I would like to add rhinestones and smaller beads around the base of the wings like I did with the moons too but without crystals they would look unfinished

  3. I placed the same rhinestone patch I used on the "stem" against the wood piece. Should I wrap the border with it too like in the other pieces? Would the plain wood floor look strange?

I think I need to sleep, but I know if I leave it now and come back to it, the same questions will just keep swimming. I have 3 other similar ones to make too. Thank you in advance.

Trying a simpler design to suit her tastes

I didn't expect so much engagement on my last post. I suppose it could count as market research if I do ever expand and start to sell them 😂

2 of the most voiced concerns in the last post were they're too cluttery and there's not much space for jewellery (which is probably the same thing lol). So this time I've used less elements and kept the giftee's tastes in mind. Instead of adding all the sparkles to the base, I'm just going to paint it black and add minimal embellishments around the wings.

Speaking of the wings, I'd love your opinions about their placement. Should I centre them or keep them off centre as they are in the pic? The large flower does make the whole piece look a little left-heavy hence why I tilted it slightly. Or I could maybe switch it for a black rose, which is smaller and also so the same dark rose theme is used throughout?

I really really appreciate everyone's comments in the last post, I realised I had focused so much on matching the right colours that I had added way too many elements despite the fact that all the styles were mismatched. Trying to go between minimalist and maximalist from now on.

Again, thank you so much! Here's hoping she loves it. I have red wings too and a few other frames so if this post does better I'll continue to make more in this style!
