From what I’ve noticed, ABCDs usually keep their phones on vibrate or silent however NRIs almost always have their notification sounds on regardless of age. Do you know why is this?

From what I’ve noticed, Asian Americans usually keep their phones on vibrate or silent however FOBs almost always have their notification sounds on regardless of age especially Asian Parents Do you know why is this? And how do Asian Parents react to you keeping your phone on vibrate or silent if you do so?

Ticket prices for the World Cup are abnormally expensive. In previous world cups, the World Cup ticket prices were about half what they are in 2026

Those that have hurt you or abused you don’t deserve a single ounce of your respect. If someone treats you like shit, treat them even worse than how they treated you. It feels good to release all the inner hatred you have for someone. Being nice to a person that hurt you only makes you feel more hurt in the long run so please don’t be nice to them

I was never the one who had a great discipline record at school and I got in trouble quite a lot especially in middle school. I got suspended a total of 6 times, 3 times in school and 3 times out of school. My parents used to feel disgraced and ashamed every time I got in trouble and used to yell at me for bringing shame into the family every time I got suspended. If I’m being honest, I deserved to be suspended every time I did get suspended except for once since for some reason, even though I had a poor discipline record, I was liked by teachers and administration for being a nice and polite kid. I just never could keep calm in heated situations and would react violently in anger all the time. I once avoided a ten day suspension in high school for pushing a kid into a locker for bullying me. I avoided the suspension since I was the one being bullied. My high school had a rule that fights caused a ten day suspension. And if I had gotten suspended, I would’ve been kicked out of the stage crew for the musical which thankfully I didn’t get kicked out. Are there any other Asians out there who got in trouble in school? If so, how did your parents react?

I’m obviously talking about it from a middle/upper class Gen Z perspective as someone who is lower class or from an older generation has no similarities to western culture. Also to add, which cities would you feel more connected to as a westerner vs which cities would you say are absolutely difficult for any westerner to vibe in?

I’m an Indian American dude myself who is on the autism spectrum and has ADHD as well. I just wanted to see if there were any other individuals who have Autism or ADHD over here and can relate to any of the struggles I’ve faced as an Asian person on the spectrum. Did you have double the expectations due to being Asian and autistic? Did your parents still have high expectations for you regardless?

I’m Indian American born and raised in the USA but have lots of cousins who live in India and grew up there. I hear schooling in India is very intense and very cut throat pressure especially in Grades 11 and 12. Which one do you think is more accurate about Asian parenting and Asian schooling?

I’ve been driving since 2017 and each passing day I’m behind the wheel, I notice people are driving worse. For example either driving way too fast and tailgating me on the slow lane or driving extremely slow and preventing me from increasing my speed or preventing me from switching lanes while I’m on the fast lane. And whenever people honk or get honked, they always seem to be shouting at each other. Don’t get me started on merging. I notice when I’m merging on to a highway to another road, the drivers drive even faster to make sure I can’t merge. What is wrong with drivers these days? On top of that I have autism, so it makes it even harder. I am one of those autistic people that like to drive though

Edit: I live in Central Massachusetts

Growing up in a house that has carpet in bedrooms but have also slept over people’s houses that have hardwood floors in bedrooms, I can easily conclude that I would rather have the carpet in my bedroom. The bedroom is supposed to be the coziest room in the house and should be the room where I can sit on the floor and relax if I want to. I also don’t want to fall off my bed in a hard floor and I would rather have some cushion if that were to ever happen. I understand having hardwood floors in living rooms, stairs, hallways but bedroom is where I need my wall to wall carpet. Area rugs are no where near as comfortable and are often annoying. People ripping off carpet for hardwood in bedrooms in their house annoys me a lot. I’m ok if they do it in all the other rooms but at least leave the carpet in all the bedrooms. However I do understand that hardwood is easier to clean and I’m not denying any of that. I’m just stating my opinion

Edit: I’ve only ever fallen from the bed once. It’s just an afterthought in my mind
