Freaking out - did I just ruin my hair?

Last night I went a bit overboard with my trim and turned my bob into a mullet (rattails were always there). I'm freaking out because between all the hair I cut off on the top and the microbangs I can't tell if I'm just not used to the person I see in the mirror or if I ruined it and I need a way to do damage control. All advice is greatly appreciated. 😭

Hormonal IUD just for period?

I'm hoping this is not really weird to ask but I figured it might help to get an outside opinion. I'm not sexually active (asexual + waiting for marriage anyways) and I don't have the kinds of periods I hear about that require birth control for them to function.

I just hate having a period, having cramps that I need to constantly be on loads of ibuprofen for, and I'm about to move out on my own and I'm worried about the cost of menstrual products on top of everything else while I'm trying to pay for college.

I've heard that Mirena can have a fantastic effect on periods and I've been really interested recently. There's a health clinic near me that offers low to no cost Mirena implants for 18-19 year olds (my age) without insurance, or probably full coverage with insurance?

I'm still on my parents insurance and I'm really concerned about if they find out that I got an IUD. My family and I are religious and believe in waiting until marriage (if I even have sex at all haha) so I'm worried about them judging me for my choice or thinking I'm going to college to hook up with people.

Would this be a valid reason to get a hormonal iud? Is there some other method of birth control for periods I don't know about that would be better? From what I'm seeing it feels like Mirena could be a fantastic, long term, cheap solution but I am worried that I'll come across as selfish for getting an IUD when I'm not even sexually active.

(Also side note but another reason I want an IUD over pills/patches is because I'm in the US and I'm unfortunately a bit concerned about losing my bodily autonomy in the future due to the current administration.)

Any advice is much appreciated.

Selling 6 sets!

Selling a bunch of my old Harry Potter LEGO sets! I'm hoping to sell them all together for $295 but I'll also consider legimate offers for the other ones! 😊 I'm just hoping they get a new home since mine have been stored away for a while.

Where to look for full time jobs with no experience?

I'm moving to a $7.25 minimum wage state for college in January so I'm hoping to focus on college to keep my scholarship and try to get a full time job while I'm still in Colorado but I'm not sure where to look. I'm available any day/time besides Sundays and I'm ideally looking for something around $20+ but I know I can't be picky.

I can't afford a part time job right now but I'm just not sure where to look for full time + no qualifications. I have 2 years of retail experience but only a GED.

Where or what kinds of jobs are the best places for me to look for? Any help is appreciated!

My F1 energy drink collection!

It's a small collection due to its specific nature but I want to show it off somewhere. :)

I just got back from a trip to Europe and was able to (anxiously and painstakingly) bring back three F1 monster cans that brought my measly collection to 5! I had to empty them out and carefully carry three cans across two long flights and bus rides so it was quite the relief to get them home whole. I've only been a fan for about a year so my collection is pretty small at the moment but I'm hoping to keep collecting!

I don't drink energy drinks so I just buy them for the F1 novelty.

2019 LEGO Harry Potter -> Sell or Wait?

Hello! I've had a few Harry Potter sets from 2018-19 taking up space in my closet for the last few years since I stopped supporting the series. The sets I have are

2019 75947: Hagrid's Hut: Buckbeak's Rescue 75948: Hogwarts Clock Tower 75957: The Knight Bus

2018 75953: Hogwarts Whomping Willow 75954: Hogwarts Great Hall

According to Brickset they were worth ~$350 retail and ~$200 now. Is it worth it to just sell them now and get rid of them? I have all the pieces, mini figs, and instructions, and most of the boxes. Is eBay still the best place to sell LEGOs, and would it be better to sell them individually or try to sell them altogether? (Also is it better to ship the boxes or not? I've heard it makes it cheaper to not?)

Thanks for the help!

My first "big" pull!

I've been collecting cards for just a couple months now and I wanted to show off my first pull from a pack that was worth more than a couple dollars! The card is ~$25 I believe, but I have no plans to sell it. It makes a colorful addition to my binders!

1965 Ludwig Snare - Post cleaning, what's it worth, and is it worth it to buy the missing parts?

Hello! I've spent some time cleaning up my 1965 Ludwig snare, and I wanted to show it off since it's a gorgeous snare, and I need my hours of work polishing to be recognized. (Especially those little screws and washers. If I can go the rest of my life without smelling Colonel Brassy Polish I will die happy.)

Additionally, I have two questions. The snare is currently missing it's tension rods and it's snares. The cost to replace both with parts from the 60s-70s is about $125. What is my snare worth as it is, and is it worth investing that money to get the missing parts?

(I'm also considering keeping it and just using it as a concert snare, in which case I'm not sure whether having newer (cheaper) snares would be better?)

Thanks for the help!

Why can't I find normal versions of my cards on TCGPlayer, eBay, or Price Charting?

Hello! I got these two cards second hand and I was trying to scan them on TCGPlayer to add them to my collection but I wasn't able to find normal versions of either card. Both cards are normal, but searching TCGPlayer, Price Charting, and eBay, I couldn't find any matching cards. Are these cards missing from their databases or am I just going crazy?

Help! Am I gold or silver?

My whole life I've been wearing gold and silver jewelry and makeup and I've never been able to figure out which one looks better on me. Everyone I talk to gives me different answers and I can't figure it out. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Questions about temple clothes

Hello everyone! I'm planning to get endowed soon, and I'm a bit confused about temple clothes vs ceremonial clothes. I've only ever done baptisms, so I'm used to wearing colorful outside clothes -> change into jumpsuit in the temple -> change back into outside clothes. I'm a girl, but I feel the most comfortable in suits, or button up shirts/ties/skirts. If you have a problem with this you can mind your own celestial business.

From what I've seen reading church policies, women can wear dresses or blouses and skirts, so I'm hoping I can do the button up shirt/tie/skirt combo, does anyone have experience with this? From what I can tell, temple clothes can be from anywhere as long as they're white and appropriate but ceremonial clothes can only be bought at the church distribution center? I'm also confused about what clothes you wear when.

Any help is appreciated! Thank you!

1920s Ludwig 5x14 10 Lug Nickle on Brass Snare - What's it worth?

I apologize for the mess, I was disassembling a snare and a half that I recently got from a friend in an attempt to Frankenstein a better snare together when I decided to try to identify what kind of snares I had and found that they were older than I thought. From what I can tell, the metal one is 20-30s and the tan shell in the background is 60-70s.

The tan shell has a Ludwig logo but the metal one does not, so I'm going off of similar results on Google that seem to show the same drum.

The frame is in fairly good condition; needs some polishing of course, with a dent on the side and a few spots of rust, while the only thing broken are a few of the the small pieces that hold the tension rods to the counter hoops.

When I was trying to identify the frame, I saw a bunch of high listings on eBay. When checking the sold tab, I'm seeing a lot of similar drums sold in the last couple months for between $350-1000.

Is there a genuine demand for this type of drum or are those just random recent sales? What is my hardware worth?

Any advice is greatly appreciated!
