Monica is 2 years old, and her babies, Walter (boy) and Jolene (girl), are 5 months old. We would love for this little family to stay together. If that isn’t possible, Walter and Jolene need to be adopted together.

They were rescued in South Carolina and are now being fostered in Charlotte, NC.We’re willing to drive for good home.(columbia sc area)

Their story breaks our hearts.❤️‍🩹💔

When someone moved away, they left Monica and her two tiny babies outside on the property. They sometimes went three or four days without food. Monica kept showing up at a neighbor’s door, asking for something to eat. The lady fed them when she could, but it wasn’t consistent.

They were skin and bones and had severe upper respiratory infections. Still, Monica kept going back and forth, trying to care for her babies.

The lady called us several times. We were already completely full, caring for severely sick cats, with each foster looking after more than ten cats. We couldn’t take in another family, but we went there with food.

When we gave Monica wet pâté, she grabbed a mouthful and ran into the bushes to bring it to her babies. Even when she was starving, she was thinking of them. 💔

We brought them in for TNR, hoping we could arrange twice-daily feeding and a heated shelter where they had been living. But the location was too far for us to manage, no one nearby could commit to feeding them consistently, and there were coyotes in the area.

We contacted other rescues, but everyone was full and facing the same struggle.

Thankfully, a kind foster agreed to bring the family inside. They are safe now, but she cannot keep them much longer, and we don’t have the space or resources for a long-term placement, as much as we wish we did.

All three are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, treated for fleas, and combo-test negative.

This time he’s showing off his handsome bow tie. Apparently, he’s not very happy with a few of you because some of you called him a “grumpy old man” or even “an old grandpa’s cat.” 😹

He said he much prefers “Teddy Bear” and “Winnie the Pooh.” 🧸🍯

So he told me, “Mom, give me a proper photoshoot so people know I’m ONLY 4 years old… I’m still a baby!”

She is currently on prescription food, but we are always open to hearing from people who have been through something like this.

Meet Cassy. 🩷

A girl had been posting about her every day and texting me every day asking for help. Our rescue didn’t have space, and we were already caring for several very sick kitties, so unfortunately, I didn’t respond at first.

But when she reached out again and said Cassy could die if help didn’t come, I couldn’t ignore her. I contacted our rescue, and we said we needed to see Cassy first.

When we found her, we treated her for fleas and gave her food. The very next day, she went to the vet.

The vet said she needed to stay overnight because, without treatment, there was a very small chance she would make it. Her tests showed severe anemia, dehydration, a severe URI, and uncontrollable bowel movements. 💔

It was completely unexpected, and we had to use money we had saved for Blue’s upcoming surgery to help Cassy. Blue’s surgery is coming up, so this has been extremely difficult for us, but we couldn’t leave this little angel without help.

Then her finder/foster told us she couldn’t keep Cassy anymore, so I brought her into my bathroom. I stayed awake through the night cleaning and caring for her. She was eating very well, but she was having constant bowel movements and would end up completely covered in poop.

Because she is severely anemic, she gets cold and shaky, so I had to make sure she stayed warm and comfortable.She is only 8 years old & her weight is around 3 pounds.💔

Honestly, I was scared. I had never cared for a cat this sick before, and I was worried that I might not be able to give her everything she needed.

So Cassy is now back with our rescue, where we can continue monitoring her and getting her the care she needs.

The vet gave her Panacur, Flagyl, and a 10 day course of antibiotics. She is also on parasite prevention. Her poop improved while she was on treatment, but after the 10 days of medication, the diarrhea came back and became the same again. 💔

She is currently on a prescription diet, and we are also giving her Pedialyte and probiotics. She has already had another vet visit and additional testing.

The good news is that she can control her poop now, so she is no longer having uncontrollable bowel movements. But her stool is still very runny, and we are still very worried about her. 😔

The vet has recommended an ultrasound to try to understand what is happening internally. We are planning to have that done in the coming days. The vet is also concerned about the possibility of cancer, which is something we were absolutely not prepared to hear.

We are already completely full and caring for so many sick kitties, and Cassy’s situation came so suddenly. We are trying to figure everything out and get her the care she needs.

We are honestly scared that we may be losing her. But this little girl is still fighting.

She is sick, but she is still eating. She still wants to snuggle, she makes biscuits, and she is constantly purring. Those little things give us hope. 🥹

She is so brave. She is fighting.

So we are fighting with her.

Meet Fig Newton ❤️

His foster mom can’t keep him for much longer because her cat is aggressive toward him and has a history of biting. Fig Newton is currently isolated in one room, and he really wants to be part of the family.
We are also completely full, mostly with sick cats, so unfortunately we don’t have space for healthy cats right now.

It was clear that Fig had either been lost or dumped. But when his rescuer(her foster mom) spotted him and stopped, Fig ran right over to her car. As soon as she opened the door, he started purring, rubbing against her, and headbutting her like he was so relieved to finally have a friend.

That sweet personality never changed.

Even at the vet, Fig was such a friendly boy that the vet techs kept stopping by to meet the super sweet kitty they had heard about. He greeted everyone with the same loving personality.

Fig is a true little lovebug. He loves people, loves belly rubs, greets you with meows, and wants nothing more than to be included as part of the family. He absolutely loves dogs and may even think he is one. ❤️

Fig is FIV positive, but he is otherwise fully vetted and ready for his forever home.

FIV-positive cats can live long, happy, and normal lives, and they can live with FIV-negative cats in a peaceful, stable household. One of our cats lived to be 23 years old. ❤️

He is seriously the funniest little thing ever. He loves people, and the moment you start walking, he may suddenly run up and jump on you like he’s trying to scare you! He plays, talks to you, follows you around, and somehow makes you laugh constantly.

He is such a little baby! 🥹When he gets sleepy, he cries until you settle him. Then he wakes up, looks around for you like, “Where did you go?” and wants to be held like a baby until he calms down.

He loves his wet food too..4 times a day, please! 😂 He will ask, stare, and make sure you know it’s mealtime. And of course, he has already discovered that stealing my other cats’ food is also part of the job.

He is always at your feet, making little demands, and somehow you just can’t say no to him. 😂

You can hold him, cuddle him, love on him..he loves it all. He has CONSTANT energy, but he is also such a good boy. He doesn’t destroy things or cause trouble. He just wants to play, love, and be part of everything you’re doing.

He loves watching TV, follows you everywhere, and is basically a dog in a cat’s body. 😂❤️

He’ll yell and even let out little cries just to get you to pick him up or hold him. He’s such a needy, loving baby.

His story is pretty special too.

Someone found Kevin near Columbia SC while traveling and somehow ended up finding the rescue’s home address. They showed up with this little guy because the shelter was already closed, and Kevin had nowhere to go. The rescue was already completely full, but she couldn’t turn him away.

And maybe Kevin came at exactly the right time. She was grieving the loss of her beloved kitty, and this little boy somehow came into her life and filled it with love again.

I’ve been fostering Kevin for just 5 days, and honestly, he met me like he had known me for years. 😂

Kevin is about 6 months old. He was neutered and is fully vetted..vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, deflead, and combo-test negative.

🐾 He said he’d love to go to his new home with his best friend(they both are funny lol). 🥹 But if that’s not possible, that’s okay too…as long as you have a kitty playmate who can keep him company, play with him, and engage with him. He can be adopted as a single kitty in that case.

Thank you to everyone sending Cuddles love, prayers, and blessings, and for lifting me up with kind words whenever I felt weak. I truly believe it works. All that love and prayer has carried her through. 🥹❤️

Cuddles had her surgery almost one and a half weeks ago, and I’m so happy to say that her surgery was successful. ❤️

Her vet was actually shocked at how beautifully her scar healed. I think it was my prayers. 😂🙏 Or maybe that antibiotic shot she got one week before surgery. Lol.

They removed the entire mass and her bad teeth. They didn’t do another biopsy because there was no scar tissue left.

And now her little tongue is almost completely back inside her mouth. 😂

I know I should be happy about that, but honestly, I miss seeing her little cute tongue sticking out. 😂❤️

For those who don’t know Cuddles’ story…

I rescued her from the shelter because I’m also a shelter volunteer. I received an email saying they were going to euthanize her and that only a rescue pull could save her.

They said she had a broken jaw and severe dental problems.

So I basically forced my rescue to pull her for me. 😂

We took her to two different vets, and both believed it was cancer. They said she was in pain and that we should let her go.

But I couldn’t agree with them.

I knew Cuddles.

I saw her playing. I saw her eating. I saw her snuggling. I saw how much life she still had in her.

So I decided to do a biopsy.

And the biopsy came back negative. 🥹

Then came multiple vet visits, trying to find someone who could perform the surgery she needed. Cuddles is also a very picky eater, and her food is expensive. 😂

We had already spent around $1,200 on her, and I was thinking about how I was going to manage her surgery bill.

I wasn’t thinking about asking anyone for help. I was just trying to figure it out somehow.

And then, suddenly, I received a message.

“Don’t worry about Cuddles’ surgery. I will pay for her, whatever the cost.”

That beautiful angel paid for Cuddles’ entire surgery in memory of her beloved kitty, Nemo. ❤️🕊️

I will never forget that kindness.

And that’s why I always feel Cuddles doesn’t belong to just me.

She belongs to everyone.

She belongs to everyone who prayed for her, loved her, believed in her, and followed her journey.

Her follow-up appointment is this Friday, and then we will start looking for her forever home.

So today, I just want to celebrate this little girl with all of you.

She was once a shelter kitty with a deadline.

Today, she is healing.

And she is still here.

Cuddles is still fighting, still loving, still making biscuits… and slowly putting that little tongue back where it belongs. 😂❤️

🚨 URGENT: SEBASTIAN & SAMUEL ARE 2 OF THE 7 KITTIES FACING THE SHELTER 🚨

Sebastian was rescued from chapel hill area with her mom and siblings,but while in foster care, he became bonded with Samuel. They are best friends and MUST be adopted together.

📍 RESCUE NOTE:
The rescue is based in Charlotte, NC, but we rescue throughout NC and parts of SC. Many of these kitties came from the Triangle area.

Please, I don’t need judgment or negativity. I am a volunteer doing everything I can to help these cats find safe and loving homes. I am sharing their situation because their time is running out.

They are with us only until today. Some of the kitties are going to the shelter today, and some are going tomorrow. We are trying so hard to find them homes before it’s too late. 💔

These two beautiful boys are among the 12 kitties who are running out of time.

Sebastian is our adorable cross-eyed boy, and both he and Samuel are absolute love bugs. They are sweet, funny, playful, affectionate, and incredibly loving.

They deserve the chance to grow old together in a loving home.

We have had a little good news ..two bonded pairs were just adopted, and one sweet orange girl has an adoption pending. But the rest are still waiting, and Sebastian and Samuel are two of them.

This year has been incredibly difficult for our rescue. We have had fewer adoptions, less support, more sick cats, more bottle babies, more abandoned cats, and more returns.

We are a foster- and volunteer-based rescue and are completely over capacity. Many of our fosters are already caring for 10+ cats. The rescue and fosters have been putting so much of their own money into these cats, but we have reached our limit.

That’s why finding homes for the cats already in our care is so important.

I honestly feel this is one of the best rescues I have ever seen. They have always gone above and beyond for animals and never look away when a kitty needs help.

Rain, storms, day or night..they go out and rescue them. They have worked nonstop to save these babies, and now they are completely overwhelmed and running out of space and resources. 💔

We are rescuing more and more kitties, but adoptions are extremely low. Many of us fosters are also paying expenses out of our own pockets because we simply cannot stand to see these babies go without help.

CT people, I have heard that some of the kindest and nicest people are here, so I’m reaching out to you with a very heavy heart.

All the rescues here are drowning and are completely over capacity. Many rescues are having to send kitties to shelters simply because they have nowhere else to put them.

We are a Charlotte, North Carolina–based rescue that rescues cats throughout North Carolina and parts of South Carolina.

When we have volunteers available, we are able to send our kitties out of state for adoption. We have a wonderful volunteer in Connecticut who can help with transportation. If you are interested in adopting one of these babies, our volunteer can deliver them to you.

Right now, we are desperately hoping that Connecticut might be where some of these babies finally find their families.

Our rescue community is completely overwhelmed. Many rescues have had to shut down or stop taking cats, and some are being forced to send kitties to shelters because they simply have nowhere else to put them.

I am a volunteer foster myself, and I currently have 14 cats in my home. Many of our other fosters are doing the same. We are all trying to save as many lives as we can, but we are reaching our breaking point.

I work with an amazing rescue, but even the best rescues sometimes reach a point where they simply cannot take another cat. Right now, we have very few adoptions, very little financial support, and more cats needing help every day.

Unfortunately, things are not like a true no-kill shelter here. We are now at risk of having 9 of our sweet kitties sent to a shelter tomorrow.

There is a process, though. You will need to complete our adoption application first. If you are approved, you will complete the adoption agreement, and then the rescue can hold the kitty for you and arrange transportation.

I’m posting them every day, over and over, because I’m trying SO hard to save them. 🥺 I’m just a volunteer who is fostering as many cats as I possibly can, but my space is limited.(right now fostering 14..sometimes even more)

Hi everyone! 🩷

I’d like to thank everyone who supported us, and especially the moderator who was kind enough to let me post here twice. I truly appreciate it.

I’m a little late with this update because we’re still struggling to find homes for some of our kitties who are sadly shelter-bound. But we do have some really good news too!

Chloe has been adopted by the sweetest family. Her new mom and dad absolutely adore her, and they even bought everything Chloe likes before she arrived…her favorite food, litter, toys, and all her little favorites. She is already completely spoiled!

We went to their home to drop her off, and Chloe was surprisingly comfortable with them. She usually needs a little time to warm up to new people because she has some trust issues. She was neglected in the past, returned twice, and was also separated from her brother, Tango, so we were a little nervous about another big change for her.

But she is doing so well! She’s settling in like she has always belonged there, and it makes us so happy to see her comfortable, loved, and finally home.
After everything she has been through, Chloe truly deserves this happy ending. 🐾

12 — initially it was 8, but we had to take in 2 bottle babies and another very sick baby and one more baby this morning, so the number has gone up again. 🥺

These 12 sweet kitties will be going to the shelter in a week if we cannot find adopters for them. The rescue and all of us fosters are completely heartbroken. We have loved and cared for these babies in our homes, and the thought of them going from a loving foster home to an overcrowded shelter is absolutely devastating. 💔

We are rescuing more and more kitties, but adoptions are very low. Many of us fosters are also paying expenses from our own pockets because we simply don’t want to see these babies without help.

Our rescue is completely full now and may have to shut down. We have volunteer fosters who are already fostering 10+ cats. I am fostering 14 myself. We are doing everything we can to support the rescue, but we also have our limits. Without adoptions, there is only so much we can do.

I got a heartbreaking message from my rescue.

She told me that she may have to send 8 (now12) kitties to a shelter because she has no resources, no available foster homes, and no other rescues able to take them. She was so sad and heartbroken. Our rescue partner has already had to send a few kitties to shelters. 💔 Daisy & Maisy are among the kitties at the MOST risk of being sent to a shelter.

Our rescue is drowning right now. Every foster is already caring for 10+ cats (I am fostering 14), and we are struggling with both space and resources. Other rescues are overwhelmed and full too.

We fosters are helping the rescue as much as possible, but we have limitations now. This is an amazing rescue..one of the best I have ever seen..and I never want to see it shut down. ❤️

And honestly, that’s what breaks my heart the most. 💔 We don’t know what their future would look like in a shelter. If they are adopted from there, we may never know who took them home or where they end up. And if they are returned someday, how would we even know or be able to bring them back?
Our rescue is struggling right now, but I truly believe this is only a difficult chapter, not the end of their story. I just want these babies to have a safe, loving home where we know they are loved and protected forever.

When Daisy & Maisy were only 4 weeks old, their little world was turned upside down. They were found abandoned in storm drains behind a mall..tiny, scared, and alone without their mama. 💔

For two long days, they cried in that frightening place, waiting for someone to hear them. When we learned about them, we knew we couldn’t leave them behind.

Their rescue was an emotional roller coaster. As heavy rain started pouring down, our hearts sank. We searched and called for them, terrified that we had lost them. We felt helpless… until we heard a tiny, weak cry through the rain.

That little voice gave us hope. We searched tirelessly, and finally, they were both safe. 🥹🐾

These little girls had already experienced fear and uncertainty at such a young age. But through everything, they had each other. They became each other’s comfort, strength, and family. ❤️

Now, at 15 weeks old, Daisy & Maisy have blossomed into playful, sweet, loving kittens. Their bond is truly beautiful, and they need a forever home TOGETHER.

We never want to separate them. They survived their hardest days together, and they deserve to spend their happiest days together too. 💔

Every kitty we rescue comes from a difficult situation and has their own story. We have bonded pairs, sweet tabbies and so many kittens and cats who have been waiting for someone to notice them. I have been posting them everywhere I can. They have gone to adoption events too, but somehow they are still getting overlooked.

I honestly don’t understand how nobody has chosen them yet. They are the sweetest babies. ❤️

I know shelters do everything they can, and some of these kitties may get adopted there because they are social and fully vetted. But when shelters are already so full, making space means other cats may lose their chance. That is what makes this so hard for us.

I just don’t want these babies to go from a loving foster home to a shelter because we couldn’t find someone in time. 💔

We are looking for adopters only. If you are ready to give one of these sweet babies a permanent, loving home, please consider adopting.

Some of our babies are already facing the shelter because no one has come forward to adopt them. 💔

They are fully vetted and ready for their forever homes, but they are still here with us. I have been posting our rescue babies for many days, trying everything I can to find them loving homes.

We are already completely full. We don’t have space for another cat. We don’t have extra rooms, extra fosters, or extra resources.💔

And yet, when a life is in danger, how can we say no?

This morning, we had to take in two tiny bottle babies. We literally had no space for them, so we had to make room in our bedroom. They need to be fed every two hours, around the clock.

We are exhausted and honestly at our breaking point, but if we don’t help them, they may not survive. Every rescue and shelter around us is full. We didn’t want to take them in because we simply cannot take on more right now, but we had no choice. We had to save them.

And then there is this sick senior black boy. He is still outside because we simply don’t have the space to bring him in. His owner passed away and the landlord put him outside. He is a senior, sick, and desperately needs dental care. We also need to get him neutered.

It breaks our hearts knowing he is still outside while we are trying to figure out where we can possibly put him. 💔

We are trying to figure out how to help him while we already have many pending vet bills and very little to no donations coming in.

This is the reality of rescue.

We keep saying yes because these animals have nowhere else to go. But at the same time, our own babies are waiting, our fosters are full, our bills are piling up, and we are running out of space and resources.

We are spending our own hard-earned money and doing everything we can, day and night.

But all of this effort becomes heartbreaking when no one comes forward to adopt.
