Could defending eternal punishment be a sin? That belief in-and-of-itself will be sanctified from people, will it not?

Perhaps because they are going against God's desire and will to save everyone, they are in direct rebellion against The Almighty. I would like to add that they are free to think that way in this life, but not without its own inherent consequences, such as living in fear.

If there was a logo for CU what might it look like?

I have a degree in commercial art and marketing, but I realize that everyone has their own opinion and style. Just a mental exercise.

Ever since dad passed away, not one person friend or stranger told me that he might be burning in hell. They all say he's resting with the Lord.

I say this only because it shows that people truly yearn for a loving God and not a God of "justice".

Why does this taste more natural than the stuff I buy at the grocery store? (unsweet tea)

My brother invited a few of his old friends to my dad's funeral tomorrow and I have social anxiety about it.

I'm a private person and get easily embarrassed. I hope they don't try to drill into what I've been doing all these years, being a loser.

It's going to be rough but I have to go see my dad off.

My sibling is a social-flower that gets mad at me when I tell them I have social anxiety. Then they tell me they have it worse than me. Why do they do that?

Are they narcissists? Am I misreading something. Should I not tell them that I have difficulties with social interactions?

My father recently passed away and I put my hope in a loving God. I don't live in fear that my dad said the right words in the right way with the right frame of mind like it's some kind of christian magic spell. He had terminal dementia.

Either you believe God is love, or you don't.

My dad passed away this morning at home (hospice) and my mom is struggling with her loss.

I'm so tired and sick with grief and need to comfort my mom somehow. I know that he is present with the all-loving Lord.

Hell may not be what many people thought it would be, so what do y'all think heaven and the new earth will be like?

I'd like to focus a bit on something less bleak. The world has to be large enough to accommodate around 100 billion people. Perhaps other planets will be possible to go to. Space travel? And what do you think of what work or fun stuff will be like? I like to cook and play sports.

"Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do."

None of us know what we are doing. Even Paul says "I do not understand what I do." We can't be responsible for our actions.

My faith in God is being extremely tested watching my dad suffer at home in hospice.

Why does an omnipotent being need his creatures to suffer so much?

My dad is aspirating food and the doctors recommend Peg, but I thought that only prolonged pain and suffering.

My family wants to peg but if it's a consensus, I have to go with it. However if he starts to decline further, I want him to get hospice care at home.

As a CU, how did you come to believe the Bible is true?

I find CU to be the most rational of all the sects, and would like explore how you as a CU come to trust what the words of the Bible say to you.
