I was wrong about the Lapdock origins !

I always thought that the Motorola Lapdock was the first of its kind but one of you mentionned the Celio Redfly Mobile Companion, released in 2008 !!!! Wow what a discovery.

As I always say,

Success is often built on a graveyard of failures.

Technologies rarely arrive fully formed. They stumble, they disappoint, they disappear, and then they return stronger. Every industry follows the same pattern. It mocks the first generation, doubts the second, copies the third, and by the fourth, pretends the outcome was inevitable all along.

Mobile-Only belongs to that story.

It is not a sudden disruption. It is the continuation of a long and natural evolution. And this time, the world is finally close to catching up.

We have to talk about it ! https://prodocktive.com/
I just had a demonstration of this and it looks amazing ! Obviously it will be limited because it is iOS, however it does look great and I just hope this will dynamise the competition to escalate on Android. What do you guys think? The approach is different than InfiniteX2P

I mostly use Samsung DeX when I travel but here is my full setup:

  • Samsung Galaxy Fold 5
  • MiraDock station
  • LG OLED C2 55"
  • MiraBook Lapdock for when I travel
  • Remarkable 2

Now you may have notice my Gaming PC which I mostly use when I am at the office and connect to remotely using Parsec via DeX when I am not around.

Hope you like it !

This gives even more hope for a polished OS. I guess we'll find out more during next Google I/O

It is called infiniteX2P ! The project has been around for 3 years now with ups and downs. A month ago they announced discontinuing the development but after a few days they changed their mind.

Now they are back.

It is really a struggle because they have to deal with Apple strict policy and a closed environment but eventually this will help open the market.

I don't know you, but in my opinion we have now Samsung and Google ready for Mobile-Only, but only Apple has the marketing power to generalize a technology as they are about to do with Foldable phones (I admire and hate them for that).

Infinite X2P iPhone Desktop Mode

Good luck to him. I am sure that one day we will see the shift with Apple having their own iPhone PC mode.

I am curious, have you tested this InfiniteX2P app?

Do you agree with me on Apple ?
