X-Lab RS7

X-Lab RS7

Picked this guy up and just finished my first 100 miles on it.

The tldr for $2100 is a really good bike out the box. For $2250 swapping to real tires makes it a fantastic bike for the price.

I've already ditched the mechanical 105 for sram rival, and my wheels for lighter ones I had laying around, but totally unnecessary. ( Moving those parts to a different frame I have )

It really is a ready to race bike out the box if you swap the tires.

Alternative to Lems Sandals?

I really want to get these but at $120 for sandals, that's simply too much.

If anyone know of any similar sandals let me know.

What did I find in the dumpster?

Saw this in the dumpster and dug it out. I'm certain it's Walmart tier but just wanted to double check. I cycle but am not a BMx guy at all.

Is the cyclocross bike dead?

I've been thinking about selling off my cx bike, I don't really ride it, outside of scooting around the neighborhood every now and again. It's a true cx bike, super aggressive handling and can just barely clear 35mm tires.

I also have a much nicer and newer gravel bike, and outside of true professional racing, is there any point in owning both a cx and gravel bike? Heck even most road bikes are running 32mm tires these days.

In my area cx is basically all but dead. What used to be a full 2 day event every weekend in fall is now maybe 2-3 local events with 10-15 people showing up, half are on gravel bikes. The local guy who runs the cx events now does gravel events because they are much easier and cheaper to set up and organize. ( Compared to renting out a park, which requires an ambulance and police on site )

How's yalls areas? Is it worth hanging onto a cx bike if I can race on my gravel bike if I ever want to race again? ( I'm cat 5 party pace all day every day )

Fan controller that works with fancontrol?

Hello, Im looking for a fan controller box that works natively with the fancontrol app, that allows me to control each fan plugged into the hub.

I bought one but didn't realize that is more of a splitter, and can't individually control each fan plugged into it.

Ideally something that can plug in at least 6 fans, but ideally more.

Thanks!

Worth upgrading from 1gb to 3gb?

3gb just came out in my area, and its only $30 more than my current 1gb plan.

I'm wondering if its worth the upgrade?

Go small or go big?

I bought some xero prios, and the size 10 fits well over the top of my foot, but the toebox is a little short, with about half thumb width from my toes to the end of the shoe, and if I squat down, my toes squish up against the end. Its not painful or super tight, but noticeable.

The next half size up is a large jump, the instep of the shoe is a bit loose and and feel like the length is too long making the shoe feel floppy.

( They are the leather xero piro's, so I don't know if they will break in any if I stick with the smaller size, Or maybe they just are not the shoe for me )

Thanks

Ford Maverick or....?

Its time for a new car, my current mazda 3's time has come.

I've been really interested in the Ford Maverick Truck, as on paper, it seems perfect for me.

Though some common complaints about it are road noise, road trip comfort & cheap plastic interior, and can feel like it struggles at higher speeds, which are things I'm wanting to avoid.

My wife currently has a 2019 Honda CRV, and we want something as equally comfortable if not more so than it. ( Its an alright road trip car, though road noise is still noticeable )

We live in texas, and its not uncommon at all for us to drive 4-6 hours between major towns on our 75mph highways where everyone is doing closer to 80-85.

My Budget: $35k max, need something modern ( I can't go buy some 20 year old truck )

About Me: I'm big into cycling, camping, and outdoor adventure activities, which is why a small truck would be perfect for me. I'd love something that I can load my bikes and gear easily into, and comfortably drive hours on end to wherever I'm going without the engine feeling like its struggling to keep up.

What do you HATE about your maverick?

I'm narrowing down my car shopping search, and on paper, I really like the maverick, and its pretty easy to test drive it and say its nice compared to my current 16 year old car.

Though I'm wondering what you hate about it after owning it for a bit?

My concerns are the plasticy interior, road noise, and the seats, as road trip comfort is something thats a bit important to me.

My wifes car is a 2019 Honda CRV, and we want something at least as equally comfortable for longer drives. ( we live in texas where its not unusual at all to drive 4-6 hours in a day traveling between major cities going 75+ on the highways )

carbon road bike in addition to ti bike?

I have a lynskey r300, and while it rides great and I like many things about it, if i'm completely honest, i'm not quite in love with it.

It just seems very generic and boring to me, and a bit dated with the external cables and all that, and the endurance geo is fine for longer rides but not exactly built for speed. I also kinda regret the color I picked for the anodization on it. Replacement hangers are expensive at $50 a pop, and with the current state of lynskey, who knows how long they will be around for.

I've been debating on buying a new road bike, a full carbon one with all the modern sleek integrated cables and aero.

Generally, I ride my gravel bike on shorter social rides, my lynskey on my faster weekend group rides of 30-40 miles. My thought would be if I got a new bike, ride that on go-fast group rides, and my lynskey for more longer distance riding.

I know everyone is going to just say n+1, but I tend to like the idea of having as small of a collection of bikes as possible. I am a little worried if I do get a new bike, I wont' ride the lynskey much anymore if I end up liking the new bike more.

( currently have 1mtb, 1 gravel bike, 1 cx bike, 1 cruiser, and the lynskey )

Difficult time exporting metashape files to open in agisoft viewer

My company is just starting to use photogrammetry and our models are quite large, full commerical buildings taken from a drone with 6000+ photos.

I have the models all made, but I'm having an extremely difficult time exporting the model to be shared and viewed in the agisoft viewer software.

I've been exporting the model as an .obj, and in the viewer, going to >add layer, and selecting my .obj file.

I'll have the processing bar, but eventually it will time out and just say "can't add layer"

I don't know if its because my files are too big, or what.

If anyone has any suggestions, that would be great.

alternatively, from my limited understanding, you can't just render locally in metashape, export the obj, open and save it as a vpz in the viewr, then email out the vpz file?

From my understanding whoever has the vpz file also needs to have all the pictures and other model information to open it, and that the vpz/viewer is basically a 'read-only' link to the model file?

Any good way to auto track of which bike you're riding?

I have 5 bikes, and I'm trying to figure out if there is any good way to automatically tell strava which bike i'm on.

My default strava bike shows 100's of miles more than I've actually ridden it, and trying to think of any good way to show which bike I was riding without having to go in and manually edit and select the bike I was riding after every ride.

Are there nose sticker/bandaids to cover your nose from sunburn?

My grandma had skin cancer on her nose, and I'm worried about that as well.

I'm wondering if there is a product that's like a sticker or bandaid that you can put on your nose to help keep the sun off it? Kinda like those old school sun glasses that had the nose guards?

I put sunscreen on, but since I work outside I'd like a solution that's a little more permanent.

[USA-TX] [H] Brand new in box 'new' Nintendo 3ds XL Galaxy Edition [W] Paypal

This is a 100% brand new 'new' Nintendo 3DS XL Galaxy Edition

Collectors, here's your chance.

Its completely brand new. Never removed from the box, never played, 100% brand new.

I bought this brand new from walmart around 2017 if I recall correctly, and I've been hanging onto it for the last 9 years.

Its been sitting on a shelf and in a storage box for years across several moves, college, and general life, so the box is a bit banged up, but I can assure you the 3ds is fine.

Note these were never 'sealed' from Nintendo with a sticker or tape, so I've opened the flap to verify its contents, but again, its never been removed from the box. Also note these do not come with chargers, and there's a good chance the battery won't hold much of a charge and would probably be a good idea to replace it if you're going to open it up and play it.

I'm asking $800 shipped from Austin Texas, will ship via UPS with insurance and tracking. Please feel free to send me offers
