Just a piece of information for those whinging on and on saying how he doesn’t care about winning and thinks himself bigger than the game.

People were quick to say Robinson’s Lords performance was vindication of his value to England. Journalists were waxing lyrical about his return and seam position and what not. Critics fell just short of claiming Robinson was the missing piece that could have won them the ashes.

Cut to the end of 1st test, Robinson is injured because he bowled (checks notes) 24 overs in two innings.

Contrast that with Jofra who has been literally abused by ECB. I still remember the NZ series where he bowled 42 overs in an innings. Robinson could never fucking bowl anything of that if he had ten lives. But still, commentators like Jeremy Coney claim, Jofra is ungrateful and unserious about playing for England because he didn’t work up his bowling load, during the IPL to be ready for the first test against NZ.
